In 9th grade I had a 4.0 all year. 10th I made a B and dropped to like a 3.96. 11th (last year) I made another B and dropped to a 3.9 or so. At my school there is usually a few people in every class who make about a 3.7 or higher. The majority of the people usually have between a 2.0 and 3.0 Then the rest usually have less then a 1.5
  2. I've never ran out of gas. But I have a system. I fill up once a every 3-4weeks. I live in a small town so my drive to work or friends house is only like 2 miles so I dont use much gas. If i do get to empty my Check Gage light comes on. When that happens I know that I have about 20 miles of gas left so I reset my odometer and when I get to about 19.7 miles I fill up
  3. I win. :P \ Oh GAH! I just got pwned   Anywho, lots of interesting stuff here! Lots of info going both ways . To me time seems like one of those subjects that are just so abstract its hard to fully grasp it. Time, the whole dimensions thing, black holes, the thought of eternity. I mean yea we can understand them but maybe never really get the full idea of it. I love thinking about stuff like this :P Keep the ideas comin!
  4. No, that's totally different. I computer is tangible. I can see, touch, lick it. I KNOW its there. lol. Can you show me time? Yes, we do live but is it really for periods of 'time'? Oh yea. A question for all those 'time-believers' =P Ok I'm sure you all know what time zones are. Well what if every hour, on the hour you traveled back one time zone.
  5. Ok well I consider myself an intellectual and commonly find myself thinking about wierd things, that are really deep like this...Does time really exist? Deep thoughts are usually hard to explain but I'll try my best... So what if the calendar had never been created? What if there were no hours, minutes, days, or years? We would just...be here. Time is man-made. Its just a name given to humans' way of keep track of the earth's and our lives' cycles. Now time travel. I read popular science magazines and there's alot of talk about time travel. But how can I be living now, in the 'present' and then you travel back in 'time' to when I was 5 years old? It's impossible because time doesn't exist If time was real that would mean it has been around for eternity. Seeing as time can't really just pop into existence. That would also mean that it will last for eternity. But if time lasts for eternity, couldn't it just not exist at all? Well what do ya'll think. Actually don't think too much, your brain will start to hurt after like 15 minutes of thinking of this kinda stuff  Oh and I'm also not crazy and I do understand time and its uses but this is just a theory I wanted to throw out there =)
  6. Better hope no one from these forums ever tries to pickpocket you :P In my wallet I have.. one $1 bill Driver's license Pic of ex-gf....wait why is that still in there?! And last but not least a tip convertor chart card, that shows how much you should tip depending on how much your meal was.(It came with the wallet) :P
  7. No..you add .1111... to .9999.. to get 1. Ya'll are all thinking way too into this. .9999 and 1 are not equal. No matter how infinitely small the difference may be there is still a difference. And no 1/3 + 2/3 does not equal .999.. it equals to 3/3. Fractions and decimals are two totally different ways of viewing things. I think everyone is just thinking too deep into this. Or I could be an idiot in some parallel universe where numbers hold the world together :wall: lol
  8. I wonder if anyone has ever given their kid the same middle and first names? :-k
  9. You can borrow my imaginary friend Steve! :o He's loadsa fun and chicks dig him too!
  10. Can I get an actual parent's affirmation on this unsubstantial opinion? Maybe good parents are the ones that spank their children, and not the other way around. Word Insane. I think a good parent is one who takes the necessary measures to ensure their child knows right from wrong and how to behave etc..whether that includes simple grounding or spanking. Whatever punishment that is necessary to get the point through.
  11. I think spanking is a good method of discipline. It should only be used when warnings and such won't work. I have 5 nieces and nephews so I know how young children react to ALL types of discipline methods. Alot of the time when verbal warnings are given or time outs are administered the child will jus back talk or do w/e it is even more. When spanked the child realizes..."hey that hurt, im not doing that again." But anytime my bro and sis spank their kids they will always hug and talk to them about it afterwards and make sure the child understand why he got that certain punishment etc etc...
  12. Um..cybersex over the real thing?! You've got to be joking! Sorry, just had to get that out there  Anyways, I don't think gaming will become as extreme as you described although I'm sure many people would enjoy that. I understand that there are alot of insecure people in the world. Whether they are just geeks, shy, obese, w/e it may be. But no matter what kind of person you are there will always be other people like you that you share common interests with. Yes, you could just be online buddies with them but I wouldn't consider it 'living' until you actually went out in 'the real world' and experienced it. I've never had social problems. I play all sports offered at my school and start on all of them (varsity). I'm friends with everyone at school. I make good grades. I DO play video games and RS but it never takes up the majority of my time. BUT even though I have all this going for me I still am just human. I still have to go out in the world and meet people and interact with them. Sometimes it goes smoothly but others it just plain flops  This happens to everyone, not just shy, obese, nerdy, etc....people. *Ramble over* I know I would NEVER trade my real world life for virtual reality. It's impossible to replicate the true emotions you experience in the real world over a game. *ramber really over this time*

    Stevester77

Didn't know Steve personally but I can tell he had a large impact on the boards! I will certainly add him to my prayer list!
  15. Yea, I know what a lathe is conventionally for. We made tons of stuff with ours in shop class this year, but I was jus goin out on a limb here :P More or less hopeful thinking here. I really want to make my own stinkin planks!
  16. at level 77 construction! I've seen several people asking about making your own planks and I just noticed something. While building a workbench I saw the option to build a workbench with lathe at level 77. A lathe is a woodworkin tool used to shape the wood and could be used to make planks. I bet thats what it will be used for. Just my theory! What ya think?
  17. Oh man! I'm SO excited about Wii! The footy shown at E3, of the controller, gameplay, and all the games completely blew me away and I'm totally psyched about this console. *calls in my wii reservation* =P!
  18. The Cosby Show I Love Lucy Fresh Prince of Bel-Air :P
  19. Just because she makes you go to church, does NOT mean she's forcing the religion on you... And you know..your parents are only the ones who decided to have a child (you) and brought into the world...now you get to experience life for a whole 70 years! (average)...But noooo...your forced to go to mean old church for a few hours a week and give up your precious time...dumb parents... Seriously though, grow up. Think about the thousands of kids whose parents hate their guts and beat them daily. Think of all the kids that starve do death every HOUR. Think of all the babies that are aborted and don't even have the chance to live. And here you are complaining about being uncomfortable for an hour or two?! Be grateful for what you have!
  20. Forgotten Sorrows Or if you want a more literal band name that describes you guys, you could be..The Hard Rockers!! But 'Forgotten Sorrows" sounds way cooler 8)
  21. I used my fully charged Artemis Blade to fight him because it gives magic orbs which I then used to cast Army of Hades. I evaded all his attacks and got in enough hits til I could cast it again. Took me 3 tries til I beat him :P
  22. Well, if your not man enough to ask her to her face then you could always write a note saying... "Do you like me?" Circle One: YES NO Boom, problem solved
  23. Firstly, I wouldn't recommend being a teacher unless that is your absolute only desire. To me, they have to put up with so much everyday, and get payed so little that it's not worth it. (However, that's only how it is down here, may be totally different for you! :D ) If that's what you want to be go for it! Next, usually the classes you take in high-school aren't directly related to your career path. They are usually just general studies courses that will help you in all areas. Whenever you go to college is when you usually start taking career specific courses. So in high school I'd recommend taking your first 5 choices for sure. Those all seem well rounded, yet still pertaining to your job choice. Also, remember not to make your schedule too hard and get bogged down with the work! Your 6th choice really depends on your personality. If you already have good leadership qualities then I don't believe you should take it. Yet, if you have poor leadership then the class would benefit because that is a very important quality to have when teaching. Your last choice sounds like it would be pretty fun. But it would help if you knew what kind of job you were apprenticing. You wouldn't wanna take the class and end up helping with someone you know you will never be, like a sewage inspector or something! Hope I helped :D
