empathy
I don't think I can name one person who doesn't treat me differently just because of some condition I have. I lack any type of common sense so I constantly screw things up but nobody says anything or they try to put a positive spin on it just because I'm a manic-depressive or I have sleeping problems or one of a variety of reasons. I think it's sympathy, not empathy and instead of showing concern or care I think instead it kind of sends a message that says that you're not capable of handling your problems so they're going to help you whether you asked for it or not

Do you care about HDTV?
I don't watch T.V. or movies so I'm gonna have to say no.

Suicide
This relatively short interview of Robert Ingersoll sums up my views perfectly, along with his other couple of articles on suicide: http://www.infidels.org/library/histori ... anity.html The highlights: It's not always about cowardice. I have a list of things that I want to accomplish. When I accomplish everything on this list (and probably the few things I will add to it), I plan on killing myself. Is it because I'm scared? Or because I'm hopelessly depressed and too lazy to get help? No. It's just the way I view life. I view life as something we have to use to accomplish certain things and that's it. It's just a different viewpoint on life (of course some people are just lazy, selfish, etc. but making blanket statements saying all suicides are such is completely unfounded).

Odd Situation
How exactly does one get hit in the face from behind? Just curious.

Issues much?
What a lot of people don't seem to understand is that pointlessly flaming people over things that are completely irrelevant to the topic not only makes people want to lynch them, it's basically a big sign that seems to be begging for acceptance. And chances are, if you get off on making fun of people for no reason, we probably don't like you anways.

The impossible standards of society (see video)
I'm sure my opinion means as much to people here as a 1 legged commie in a cannibals oven but anybody who posts pointless, half-brained spam on a consistent basis without even a hint of apology deserves a first rate commendation in my book. So with that, I say you're my favorite poster ever.

The impossible standards of society (see video)
But "he" does wear girl pants tho. As much as we love him, I say we have to mark him down as questionable along with Lionheart_0. Maybe half man, half girl, half alien emo type thing? I'll try not to completely hijack this thread tho (sorry BlueLancer). Around where I live (I'd tell you where I live but I'm pretty cute and there's sexual predators roaming the net) the whole major makeover scene stops post high school. Yes, kids still try to maintain a fairly "pretty" image but it seems like there's a point where the excesiveness drops off and it's almost like once kids "survive" middle school and high school, a good bit of them realize that there is really more to life. I dunno, maybe my corner of the world's strange.

Wow...I always thought you were a woom-uhn. As far as that girl in the video goes...I think she looks better in the end. I know it's not natural and of course it sets unreasonable standards but...meh, can't help wanting to look good.

Drugs screwed up my friends life
He was high while riding his bike. If you're high do you think you'll be able to think straight? How does being high give him an excuse for not being able to see a car? It's not as if 3000+ pounds of moving metal is inconspicuous. Did his being high hinder him from clearly seeing everything in his surroundings? Maybe. Would he have been able to evade the car had he not been high? Maybe. But I fail to see how one person getting hit by a car while he was high (if he was high while riding his bike) provides a strong argument for blanket statements such as:

Your on a boat with...Tip.iters
The only way I'm on a boat with 7 tip.iters is if I've been kidnapped. Seriously, you guys are crazy.

Michigan Governor Vote '06, who are you for?
And your a cannibal. In the U.S., cannibals are considered only slightly better than commies.

Miss Teacher a B... a Boy
Hot liquids usually do cause burns. Most people older than 3 know that.

Miss Teacher a B... a Boy
I think you missed the main point of the show. It's a really long story so I'll just post the article: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/10/nyreg ... wanted=all In summary, Diane Cherchio West was a lady who worked in some school and she had a history of molesting children. Even after being caught and jailed she was still allowed to go back to work at the school and continued to molest children. They were criticizing the hipocrasy of a lot of peoples views on pedophiles. I don't know if that made sense or not but it's late so give me a break.

How does him getting hit by a car relate to his drug use?

Autographed
I used to be a major baseball card/stuff collector and used to go to shows and stuff to get stuff signed. Let's see...Nolan Ryan plaque that has an autographed Nolan Ryan card with an autographed ball. I have 3 Augusta Greenjackets team autographed balls (farm team for the Boston Redsox). Catfish Hunter autoed 8 X 10 and a Greg Maddux autoed 8 X 10. I've got 3 other Nolan Ryan autoed baseballs - yes I love the Ryan. I think I've got other stuff in the attic I might pull out to look at. I got out of collecting about 4 years ago, especially cards. I've got Lou Brock autoed bat cards, Ozzie Smith autoed jersey cards, Stan Musial autoed cards numbered to 25 and things like that but with the influx of inserts and the general direction of the card industries, to me it just seems to have lost the magic of buying a pack or two a week and hopeing to get the "special" card. I loved how at shows the people who weren't as famous as the "superstars" would sign like 2 or 3 and sometimes up to 4 and 5 items for 1 person since they weren't being as crowded.

A deep, philosophical question...
I think it's because we all know that only Bubsa can rightfully claim to be pure awesomeness so everyone understands this thread is purely hypothetical.

SHOULD THIS BE ALLOWED???
I don't think crashing anybody on purpose should be allowed. But then you have to ask, how can you prove that a person crashed somebody on purpose?
-
At what age does it become inappropriate?
It depends though...on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the creepiest, how creepy would you rate your smile. Me personally, I feel I'm about a 4 maybe 5 so I try not to combine my smile with a wave or any body movement in the direction of the child. If you're above a 6 it's probably in your best interest to not make eye contact with children. If you're a 3 or lower, you could probably even get away with touching them.
