flush it all down the toilet expand your neighbourhood with apartment buildings made of stale-ish bread and half eaten cups of mi goreng. courtyards paved with the crisps crumbs you leave in the bottom of the bag. Fountains of room-temperature, flat, too sweet coca cola. curtains of thawed pizzas stapled to each other move into your culinary castle. live like a czar amongst your slowly decaying walls

What Game(s) Did You Last Get and What Are You Playing?
FEZ played about an hour, pretty fun and chill. some of the puzzles seem to rely on some kind of obscure knowledge i guess but that hasn't negatively impacted my opinion of the game too much. also apparently the game developer is a bit of a knob but i dont really know much about that i also managed to complete a puzzle without knowing how i completed it so that was pretty bad

That's a convenient argument you've got. But you're horribly wrong. http://gunwatch.blogspot.com/2012/12/mass-killings-stopped-by-armed-citizens.html dang, feel like i need to take a shower after reading through that site. but i concede, about six of those, good stuff. definitely a failing of the data i was using was shootings prevented where a lesser amount of people were killed.

The Game of Thrones TV series - Season 4
[spoiler=Book spoiler]I just figured the boy that was "helping" him was Ramsay, since he seems to be a combination of Reek (Helping him and then betraying him) and Ramsay's habit of freeing his victims so he can hunt him down later (Minus sending dogs after him) [spoiler=also book spoilers]Yeah, plus when he shot all those dudes the last one living called him Bastard, which of course could just be a run of the mill insult but I'm guessing it's also a nice tip off. Also, Iwan Rheon is playing him (and killing it) and he's a pretty well known actor, I think.

spree killers 99% of the time don't choose their targets based on whether or not there will be people with guns there. just like they're not stopped by "no guns allowed" signs, they're mostly not motivated by them either. no mass shootings in the usa in the past 30 years have been stopped by an armed civilian. 2 civilians attempting to intervene w/weaponry were shot, one killed one gravely wounded. most of the people who are lauded as stopping mass shootings were either police or former police, or intervened once the shooter had finished shooting. a civilian attempting to stop a shooting almost shot an innocent civilian. mexico is a failed state managed by a corrupt government. i would hold more faith in the USA. i feel if something's not stored as safely as its deadliness dictates, then yeah, there might be something there.

The Game of Thrones TV series - Season 4
I think at this point it's pretty safe to assume the Boltons took him, and they're using different kinds of torture tactics to find out valuable information. It could always still be the Greyjoys, but I don't think they'd be so... cerebral.

If the person wanted to slash their throats instead of cut off their fingers, I'd imagine it would've taken less effort. Well then find me 26 people dead by having their throats slashed in one incident, I guess. Stab wounds aren't as damaging as gun shot wounds. That's how they aren't comparable. It's not hard to understand. (source) True. They were 'only' permanently disfigured (ears) and/or disabled (fingers). Granted, I wouldn't wish them dead, but it's still bittersweet at best. Okay? I don't know what your point is.

If that's true, it causes a natural cap on liability with the reduced potential for damage through misuse; it does not explain why no such liability would be imposed. I'm not entirely sure what you're saying here? Like, laws? We're shown time and again that someone on a rampage with a knife is able to do just as much damage as someone with a gun. In Texas earlier this month, 14 people were stabbed with an exacto knife; the only reason he stopped was because his knife broke. On the same day as Sandy Hook, 22 children were slashed in China, where the assailant was cutting off fingers and ears instead of slashing throats. The only reason these stories are buried several months later is because no one has the agenda to try and ban knives. But nobody died in either of those scenarios. 26 died at Sandy Hook. I don't know how that's "just as much damage" in any way.

Explain to me why slingshots, bows and arrows, spears, swords, clubs, crossbows and bolts, switchblades, darts, blowguns, catapults, daggers, shields or flails are any different. because they aren't comparable in efficiency or possibility of lethality

There you go. I love that the music played over Karstark's execution was the same one that played when Theon executed Ser Rodrik. Pretty much cements it being a massive [bleep] up. goddamn I love this show.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Our youth now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for their elders and love chatter in place of exercise; they no longer rise when elders enter the room; they contradict their parents, chatter before company; gobble up their food and tyrannize their teachers. - socrates, 480 BC (maybe) "The world is passing through troublous times. The young people of today think of nothing but themselves. They have no reverence for parents or old age. They are impatient of all restraint. They talk as if they knew everything, and what passes for wisdom with us is foolishness with them. As for the girls, they are forward, immodest and unladylike in speech, behavior and dress." - peter the hermit AD 1274 people have been thinking this for literal millenia (fun fact: on my list of desirable penis nicknames, peter the hermit is #12)
