Yes, I've had a rediculous amount of Waterfiends and Terrorbirds - I hate terrorbirds! But mine are not as bad as yours, probably closer to 30%-40%. If they bug you that much, blacklist them. However, if you're blacklisting abyssal demons, then you shouldn't be leveling slayer anyways...

Honestly, the best place in front of a television... preferably one with Shotime On Demand :) Personally, I alch in the bank in the ghost town near Pirate Pete. It's quite and noone will bug you to talk so you can just watch TV in peace.

How far are we from being able to play Runescape via a mobile device such as an iPhone or Nintendo DS? Speaking with some friends who have iPhones, they say that Java isn't currently supported. However, with all the developer kits out there, how difficult would it be to make it compatible? I also stumbled across a friend in college who bought a Nintendo DS (maybe it's not called DS - it's the one that closes on itself and has 2 screens and a touch-pen) who is also a computer science major and says he can play Transport Tycoon Deluxe on it. Now I realize that the "new" deluxe graphics detail of Runescape will not be able to run on a mobile device anytime soon, but I'd be amazingly happy if I could play Runescape even on "low" detail on the go. Discuss.

I'd made a few changes here: helm - verac plate - Bando's legs - Bando's shield - DFS (if not GS) cape - fire > trimmed > god cloak amulet - stole > fury gloves - barrows RFD boots - drag ring - ROW weapon - GS, whip (d-mace alt for spec optional) (this presumes you have/ can afford my items)

Finished second task! Decided to use Karil's with DFS and d-mace and got my 149 kills in 2 trips. I tried buying a zamorakian spear in GE for over 15 hours at max price, couldn't get one so wasn't able to test it. I did buy a granite maul for comparison, I didn't bring it back my second trip so that says a lot about how sucky it is. Also, there was another slayer using verac flail with higher stats than me, but killing slower. He eventually came back next trip with a d-mace :) Anyways, this thread is now just for reference to anyone using the search function - I'm off to Dust Devils!!

lol, sorry - I did use all this advice as reference and took it into consideration - I just came up with my own conclusion! :) I previously thought it was impossible to get the same task twice. In fact, I vaguely remember reading once in a player-made guide to slayer abyssals that he recommended Burthroping them on the last kill to increase the chance of getting them again right away.

So I completed my assignment and wanted to post my conclusions. I first tried Bandos armor DFS black-mask with dragon mace method praying against mage. Horrible idea, I lasted less than 8 prayer doses (81 prayer base) and averaged around 1 kill per shark, totally around 16. I then returned wearing Karils armor DFS black-mask with dragon mace and prayed against range. Much better idea! I got approximately 50-60 kills, but I dont consider that to really be good. I finally came back with full Guthans (meaning no black mask) praying against range and only used about 15-18 prayer doses to net well over 100 kills (I think it was 119 if I remember correctly). To recap, I found Guthans pro-range method to be the best. Although the killing speed is considerably slower, not having to repeatedly bank or eat made the overall process considerably more efficient. Although I have the capital for a SGS, I didnt buy one to test the method Guthans is considerably cheaper and as far as Im concerned good enough. Strangely enough, my next task was another 146 waterfiends. This came directly following my 139 waterfiends. I thought slayer masters never give the same task twice? This 100% disproves that misconception. Ill be heading back over to them tonight with my Guthans when I get off work :thumbsup:

Unfortunately and quite silly is the fact that Magic Achievement Cape doesn't give a Magic Attack Bonus... but it's emote still is awesome. I'd wear Magic when not in combat, and a fire/ lava cape while in combat.

I've never been in the Waterfiend / Mithril Dragon Lair before, but I just got a task to kill some 150+ waterfiends. I finished Otto's training last night, so I finally have access to them. What's an ideal equipment setup to fight them? My stats are all high(94 att, 93 str, 85 def, 81 pray), and I have full Bando's with DFS or Karil's or Guthan's or whatever the best armor would be. What should I use?

Basically, all slayer setups that utilized salve ammy's need to be replaced with the slayer mask + fury/ glory/ strenght ammy (depending on cost and training). Since spectres usually required prayer, the added prayer bonus of fury's or glory's will be a big welcome. Also, you could consider unholy symbols if you really want to save those prayer points. Most other salve tasks will remain the same. Recap, slayer mask + fury = more damage and more defense and slightly more prayer. This makes players stronger (attack) and tougher (defense).

A++ classy new look But I gotta say, the "SAVE" option is confusing and I'd like to see it disabled - there are only needs for Submit and Preview. Anything you want to save can just be copy-pasted into Word or if you can't afford Office, Notepad...

I strongly disagree with you here. By using the blackmask with the nosepeg/ earmuffs, you get the 15% bonus from your helm whereas before you received nothing. Since the salve ammy won't stack with the new helm, this allows you to invest more BASE ATTACK into your gear, which will also increase as a percentage. Understand? For example (made up numbers), say you previously had 100 attack with nosepeg and salve boosted that to 115. Now, your helm will get you to 115 without wearing any amulet. This allows you to equip like a Fury or Strenght ammy which will add 10 to your attack. This ten also recieves the 15% bonus which raises your overall attack to a glorious 128! 128 > 115 !! I know these numbers are off as I didn't use exact stats, but I'm just proving how amazing percentages are :)

WOW! That's a really good reward! So if I have questcape (get it back after last month's new quests) I'll be able to permablock 4 tasks? Or do I have to wait for another 50 qp after I finish this quest? Also, how do you obtain slayer points? And can they be used for anything besides blocking tasks?

Can anyone post a screenshot of the rewards? Also, can someone elaborate about the new slayer helm (ie. stats, special, bonuses) and blockable assignments? thanks!

Honestly, after completing both diaries, I spend ALOT of time in Varrock now. With the cooking bank, faster smithing, tree patch, and GE all so close by, I'd guess 40% of my online time is spent in Varrock. Before the diary, I was only here when passing through for a clue or something...

Recently I completed my Varrock diary and got hooked on how easy it is to cook on the new range :) Rogue's Den has got nothing on this lol. Anyways, I've been cooking Monkfish and am currently 87. I also have cooking gauntlets. I heard from a friend that you stop burning Sharks at lvl 94 with gauntlets on a fire. I was wondering what the level was for a RANGE WITH COOKING GAUNTLETS. Nice, but you forgot about My Arm's herb patch which can NEVER get sick. Edit: Also, wearing the Magic Green Weapon thing from Fairy Tales part 2 improves the amount of herbs you collect. Supercompost also helps.
