  1. 10k-15k exp per hour is ridiculous. Granite mining can be done for over 40k exp per hour. Also, I believe the varrock armor 3 helps
  2. Absolutely, but until then, the skillcape remain tokens of gigantic accomplishments
  3. Anything with naval, it's the hottest stuff in the world.
  4. Well that might help. Considering they just log you keystrokes. I think it is possible to manually "confuse" the keylogger by typing half your password, switching to something else (then type random stuff) and then complete the rest of your password
  5. Or unless someone tops this achievement  Actually I think someone had achieved all buyable skills to 99 for September but didn't win AotM Makes me feel perty darn special then in that case   That's cause they didn't fully rate the achievement itself but also who got it lol. And Solidus, I know your 99 rc is a really nice achievement but I find this just abit better still =P. Let's not spam the topic thought, gratz again 0xpx0! :-$ not yet. Other than that, I understand, this is an amazing achievement.
  6. Whenever I'm training skills I'm always looking at websites, chatting, or watching movies. I watch lots of movies while abyssal rcing :
  7. It helps to not pk. So I wouldn't be in any of the vids \
  8. Well thankyou :| Incorrect, once again that's not how the market works, it's determined by supply and demand, not shop prices. Example with new armor when it is introduced in the game, the price isn't anything remotely close to shop price. On the first day, the price is ridiculously high because there are so few in the game and so many people want them. (you'll notice how the price rarely even gets close to the shop prices most of the time anyways) That's a logical theory in some ways but that's simply not how economics work. Like I said before, price is determined by supply and demand, not by some sort of artificial price. Sure, the suppliers may start off at 374 each, but then someone might realize they sell much more at 350 each, and then eventually the market will re-adjust the price to find the equilibrium (This is known as Adam Smith's "Invisible Hand" concept). Or perhaps because people are willing to sell it at 300 each. Even if the price was to increase, we know that the people selling the nats for 300 each are the suppliers who are willing to sell their nats for anything above 300 each. Yes, of course they would love to sell for 350 each, however, they are willing to go lower than what other people are selling (for time issues and such) until they reach 300 each. So no, the price is not 300 each because people are use to it, but the price is 300 each because that's what is agreed upon by both suppliers and consumers and thus is considered the equilibrium price. Alright, then I can't blame you for misinterpreting economic theory and I'll admit I might have been a lil harsh. Basically your ideas have logic in their own sense however they just don't work; runescape, being a free market, works on the basis of supply and demand. Also, considering how many crazy people make crack economic theories (like "prices of X random good are decreasing by a very small amount, this is a huge inflation problem!!! We must stop alchemy because it's ruining everything!!!!"!) I would say be careful what you listen to. I've seen idiocy in forms that I never though even existed thanks to this game. If the price ever does change in about a year, it could be due to anything (like an update or a macroer invasion). Trust me, if the shop update really had an effect on the market it would have been immediate.
  9. Sorry, but that's just too far from the truth. Compare the fastest runecrafting method (runners), which takes months, with fletching or cooking which take 2 weeks (at a normal pace) How is that even close to the "same amount of time"? and even if it was, cooking/fletching requires less attention than rcing making them even easier. considering that new things are added at the very least once a month, there are bound to be a few that help with training. just look at prayer: when construction was released, you had to use ectofunctus to get fast levels, and that was a slow method. now you've got gilded altars that you don't even have to walk to the bank to use. of course, there are some skills that it won't happen for, as you mentioned. that comment is mainly aimed at certain 'buyables'. So basically you're saying all skills are equal and despite the insane gap in difficulty they are still all equal just because futur updates may make them easier. First of all, that's completely ridiculous to base your entire argument on the assumption that such updates will be released. Even if some skills have changed in the past. We are looking at their status as they stand right now at this current moment. The example you gave with prayer is pretty bad anyways. With construction, prayer was made more expensive and faster. Meaning that prayer's rank in terms of awesomeness became that of an "expensive" skill. There is nothing in that update that makes the difficulty of prayer even remotely similar to that of cooking/fletching. Those two are still ridiculously easy. Also, you're greatest overestimating the effect of such hypothetic updates. Do you really believe that they will make a method that turns slayer into cooking? Even if they multiply the exp given in slayer by 10, cooking is still way easier. Looking at past updates is simply not an efficient way of predicting future ones. Yes, the game is dynamic, but no you cannot say "oh well construction cape is as easy to get as cooking because they'll probably release an easy method for training construction in the next few months">
  10. How dare you! Cooking is awesome. At least with cooking you know that you'll always have a reward at the end: A tasty meal. :
  11. You don't get it do you. The price WILL NOT change, and if it does it WILL NOT be because of the shop update. There's no need to pull numbers out of a hat like you're doing now. That's such an innacurate way of estimating. Yew logs do not act as a price ceiling in any way, clearly you have misunderstood the economic term. And considering that price of other yew long materials don't have anything to do with the store value of nats, and also has not increased/decreased as a result of the shop price, your theory is already completely disproved. This means that the shop price of nats of 375 will not cause nats to rise. Some food for thought, even if the materials would fall in price, the change in price of nats will not necessarily be as significant. But if that does happened, it's exactly as I described. Someone can sell for LESS than the price that the "cartel" is attempting to enforce and they will get all the buyers. The cartel will ONLY work if a bunch of crafters get together which is simply not going to happen. A mere short term effect is nothing. That didn't change iron prices and besides, forming cartels is considered price manipulation and it is against the rules in this game. Besides, the market for iron ore is far less abundant than the market for nature runes because nature runes are made at such a faster rate. No, in conclusion, nothing will happen as a result of the shop update. There was a slight effect at first, but it died almost immediately (within the first few hours, trust me I tried to sell overpriced and it simply could not be done because too many people were willing to sell already at 300 each) Obviously nobody knows where the nat prices may be a year from now because plenty of updates in the future may have other other effects, but nats are fairly stable and besides, it should be pretty clear by now that the shop price hasn't had the slightest effect so we should be done here. In the end, the effect of the shop prices could be described as "Now, nobody will buy nats for more than 375 gp each, but who cares because I'll gladly sell my nats for 300 each". Not a problem, great minds think alike. :
  12. I see, I get the idea. It's like banging your head against the wall so that you feel much better when it's over. If i get enough, I'll include other people's suggestions as part of the "extra stuff". For the moment, however, I want to make sure that I haven't left something out and I want to design a format for contributors before I offer the option of contribution (but I will keep yours in mind)
  13. :| [/hide] Anyways, like others have said, the non-combat skills are too low. I'm not going to fault you for using the most efficient method (even if it carries less respect). But I am going to fault you for only training combat. 4/10 He has had this thread going on since 97 def/94 hp, and the first rating was for that exact achievement- pcing can't really be counted as the best way to train combat since you'll start to train it while slaying anyway. PCing is only for those players who max out combat in 2 months, pk/stake 4 months and then post a quitting thread on every big runescape fansite. Ok, I was wondering what the 2 ratings meant. Didn't realize there were 2 goals involved here. And about pc, ok that's fair enough. I always had assumed it was just the best form of combat and that everyone hated it for that reason, but considering it also induces that horrible cycle and isn't even the fastest method I guess I don't have any reason to defend it. What really bothers me is the guys who do nothing but that for half a year (PC is totally inefficient at lower lvls btw) and then ask where the location of ridiculously basic stuff is.
  14. I thought this game was aimed at older people, or at least it used to be. I know, I thought the same to. Jagex must still think we're all 5 year olds. :| Oh will you guys please stop being so insecure  It's just said so that some kids don't do stupid things and then blame it on Jagex (which 13 year olds are highly capable of doing). Until you're 18, you are not an adult, so suck up your pride and stop with this crap about "I'm mature so I don't want jagex treating me as if I am younger" (it's just to avoid any issues, hey they even took the time to make a joke, let's encourage it). It's really getting annoying. Just ignore the message if it bothers you so much. And no, the message isn't aimed at 5 year olds, it's aimed at 13 year olds (or even anyone under 18) Now on topic, I'm not a huge fan of pumpkin treats like these, but it's a neat initiative.
  15. Since there are a limited amount of crakers, there are a limited amount of potential phats. Therefore, they are discontinued.
  16. Exactly, I would argue even that balance is the key to a perfect life. Those 3 things are necessary to have a perfect life, however in excess it's no good because too much work is no fun too much fun is too lazy (although too much love is, well, impossible).
  17. :| Anyways, like others have said, the non-combat skills are too low. I'm not going to fault you for using the most efficient method (even if it carries less respect). But I am going to fault you for only training combat. 4/10
  18. good luck for chain. but only 5/10 for not using red chinchies.
  19. He could probably make it back to his dp within a minute from where he is
  20. If someone has that amount of cash, they deserve the godsword. They worked hard their OWN method to get that cash, it's not like they were lazy. Also, monster hunters like myself want the ability to sell the godsword and it's parts. It gives us an actual reward. Finally, pkers would get no loot from killing someone which is just stupid. If all you're doing is trying to stop greed you're wasting your time. It would be like trying to stop the world from funtioning the way it does. The way I see it everyone is either greedy or in denial.

  22. Well done, you have some interesting "old school" goals
  23. Hey, look at me! I've got good stats, and so the only way to get these good stats is to play all day, right? I do a lot of things besides runescape. In real life I've got 99 cooking and I'm working out at the gym to get 99 strength. Living life to it's fullest is part of my philosophy. Of course, when i don't get good results, the first thing my parents like to remove is the internet. But there's obviously no correlation between grades and time spent playing runescape because I succeeded my semester exams with flying colors while training for 99 con. Then, I scored high on 2 SAT subject tests while going for 99 runecrafting. In fact, I tend to do better on tests when I'm on one of my crazy goals . I never will sacrifice my real life, just because that's not needed.
  24. Price Floor :) Price ceiling is a minimum value, floor is max. Floor is lower limit, ceiling is upper limit. It's kind of obvious, it goes with the logic that above you there is a ceiling and below you there is a floor.
