  1. Yeah I saw from the thread and I looked at your tutorial videos. I've been tempted by hybrid melee-range so I figured I might start there (and I still want the fire cape, didn't really work too well 72 range, disconnected and then had to forfeit because the crystal bow wasn't going to make it). 80 Mage will come eventually and then beyond. So DKs are up next as well as some barrows camping style, then I've got a kbd who owes me 3 heads, and a KQ who needs killing. Gah, so much to do, and so much time to do it in : Thanks for coming, next 99 on the block might be something like runecrafting or maybe even farming (because apparently farming is more expensive than construction), so I'll take a couple months :XD: I think the plan for this summer is going to be lots of monster hunting when I'm there, lots of kingdom management for when I'm away and a few scores to settle with some abyssal pkers. 99 def > dds spec \
  2. On the first day, I was hacking away thinking it would take forever, then I turn around and see one right behind me. I dig it up. Sooo happy, then I decided to continue and get 100% favor and finish that part up (it was at 0% from my arm quest) and another one shows up and I dig it up. Sold it for 400k, I knew it wouldn't stay at that price. I love the random events where anyone can get the thing.
  3. A big thanks to those of you who came : a few pictures here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=657061
  4. Next up is 80 range so I can join GOF for some DK hunting which is something I've always wanted to try. 99 construction, for me, cost 85 mill.
  5. Done at last [hide=Trimmed Construction cape ftw][/hide] [hide=getting the cape][/hide] [hide=the emote (messed up a bit)][/hide] Big thanks to everyone that came, and big thanks to my clan VMC who made this possible.
  6. about 250k, which is something I can get within the next few hours :D everything is going great so far, although bit of a problem with the mouse. My mouse stopped working without any warning. I thought it may have run out of batteries and when changing it, it wouldn't work. Eventually I realized I put the battery in backwards :wall: . At least I learned that it's not easy to play rs on a touch pad. :XD:
  7. Not all, runecrafting is like that too but the point remains that you need both the cash and the time Runecrafting is seen as a non-buyable skill unlike farming (other 99s meaning other buyable 99s, sorry) Also unlike farming, runecrafting can produce some serious profit at nearly any level while the money gained from herb farming is not very significant (at least compared to the money from nature crafting). It is true about runecrafting being a very long skill to get to 99 and i do rank it up in the top 3 of most admirable capes  I was specifically referring to that point. I don't want to compare farming to runecrafting or farming to any other skill for that matter because it's so special
  8. so far so good for being on time with the party Also got 92 hp which gets me 114 combat I'll update the first post a bit later, I'm having some trouble with my connection: whenever I view a thread on TIF, connection lost on runescape.

I love it, for some reason I don't mind the cyclical repetition, probably because I simply can't get enough of it. Best thing is, you can't just assume someone will make it out alive (except Jack) like all those other thousands of Hollywood cliches. Then, as they like to play "hide the ball", you don't know what to expect. [hide=season 4 spoiler]Like the part when Tony is taken hostage, he could easily have been killed off without it "disrupting" the series since they've done that sort of thing all the time[/hide] I've watched 4 seasons so far, eager to get the next
  10. You're jumping to conclusions! Exactly what the author did. Look just to clarify, if party hats reach a very high price then obviously they can be sold. If they cannot be sold, then by law of demand, price decreases. This is one of the most fundamental rules of economics that the author contradicted. A lot more bs in that thread, most of which is about how the world is going to end because of inflation and prices falling, which I guess could be plausible if it weren't for the fact that inflation is a rise in prices  Then, not really economics this time, the author talks about how "oh the great depression happened at a prosperous time just like it is now in runescape" or "they didn't see it coming" and silly propaganda that isn't worth 2 gp. Go figures, there's also anti-alchemy rants in there too discussing the problems of inflation while the previous posts were all describing the opposite.
  11. Farming is arguably the most admirable. There are reasons for and against Not all, runecrafting is like that too but the point remains that you need both the cash and the time Furthermore this is also the arguement against farming: does the time spent waiting around for things to grow count? Time is passing, but little effort is required as opposed to say runecrafting or slayer where time is passing and constant effort is required. You can even get cash during the growing time and arguably negate the costs, but I'm not sure that qualifies this doesn't really distinguish farming from other skills Really doesn't prove much in terms of difficulty, that's more like popularity although it might be considered a plus because we're looking for the most admirable and not the most difficult. Besides, construction has fewer high scores anyways IMO, this would be reason why farming is the hardest. Farming is a very special skill, difficult to compare it to others since farming, alone, requires you to schedule yourself in order to gain the maximum exp. This kind of planning is very hard to do, some would consider those who have done so to be quite admirable
  12. Thanks Brandon. It seems a 5/10 crystal bow is seriously too weak to beat those lvl 360s, at the rate I was going it would take much longer so I've decided to wait a bit (till after I train my range to 80). Oh well, at least I completed the karamja tasks and got all skills 60+ as for the next party, I'll have to find a reason but yes, it would be posted here
  13. Makes me think of this failed stunt video (seeing people do stupid things and get hurt will never cease to amuse me) where the guy jumps from a hotel roof to a big pool and misses it slaming down on the edge of the pool and ends up in the pool. So close yet so far Although it is possible to do this stupid stunt right. There's another video where a kid does a backflip off a small roof and lands in the pool. I quote from one of the comments: "I can't believe nothing went wrong".
  14. Similar to a guy who manages to escape the police cars and helicopters using a horse drawn wagon. Nobody is going to take them seriously now
  15. First attempt at fight caves. Doesn't count! I lost connection on about 3 waves before the end with about 4 super restore lots left. It was still fun none the less when I ran out of prayer SEVERAL times and saw the lvl 360s hit 0 on me. I've started the REAL first attempted and saved my progress one wave before the lvl 360s. I'll see how it goes tomorrow. Otherwise tomorrow is going to be a busy day, I have to get most of lvl 98 defense to be on par with the party on sunday. If I miss this next attempt at fight caves, it will take me some time before I try again.
  16. full sets for barrows from only the chest. Wow. Also like the rc pker spoof
  17. I guess you can blame the world for being round. I'll have more parties in the future hopefully (and after I upgrade my house a bit too) update: Getting close to 98 def. Also I will probably do my first attempt at fight caves later this evening when my clan is at fight pits
  18. pulling an allnighter leaves consequences that I don't want to have to deal with. I can go from 6:30 am to 1:00 am consecutively and get a lot more done than if I pulled all-nighters
  19. They've got nat macroers... now that's IT this has gone far enough! I'm camping out at the alter to report every single one of them!!! Your criticism is unjustified, they just did a mass banning of both macroers and real world item buyers.
  20. Goals and achievements, same reason you don't "quit" real life either
