Question: Least-Admirable Skill Cape
Solidus_77 replied to Lunar_Drifter's topic in General Discussion
That's a good argument, but that's not a reason why the cooking skillcape is not admirable. That's more of a statement for buy-able skills in general. Cooking, on the other hand, is the easiest to buy and has over 10k pwoepl with it (and probably many more). So basically, you're right, you can't say cooking is the worst for that reason, but you can say it's the worst for other reasons. well that doesn't prove that fm is the least expensive does it? That just proves that it's not the most expensive, thus proving firemaking cape is not the most admirable which is pretty obvious. fletching and cooking both cost less and there's also something special about firemaking: there is no return. This means that of all the money you spend you don't get anything back. There is a return on fletching/cooking and a considerably large one on crafting. This makes firemaking a bit harder. -
people who overly trust people should they get scammed?

My thoughts exactly, he doesn't deserve it, but it's partly his fault -
And it just had to happen on Disney Channel, wow. Reminds me of the South Park LotR episode

I knew, so I squinted :D only saw meaningless lines. with 24 you got to be ultra-ultra-ulra-carefull with spoilers. My sister doesn't want me to even watch 24 without wearing earphones or such, she's afraid she'll recognize a character's voice and that alone would be a dead give away. I'm only up to season 5 so I'm glad I didn't look at that.

Did you get lost or something, why did you follow signs to "bleach" and "naruto" if you hate anime? :-s Bleach and Naruto go hand and hand. Too hard to choose!!! Bleach has a bit more action but Naruto has some more developed story (and "reasonable" power gaps etc...), they simply tie, I can't put one in front of the other #-o

starting from sitting on my knees, I lower myself so that I can bend all the way back to the point where I am lying horizontally on my back with my knees still bent. On the other hand I'm ridiculously unflexible in the other direction. and I've got a semi-decent handstand.

Ha, I have yet to see Pirates of the Carrabean 3 too. Here, how about you just add me ingame and I'll catch you on sometime this weekend : I may be able to help, I kind of did the same thing. For cons, the way you want to go is buying oak planks. This is what tripsis did (as opposed to buying the logs and trning them into plank via butler). Then you shoul make either oak larders or oak doors, which one i better? I dunno, but I believe Tripsis did both. As for rcing, well there's so much to say. Use house tele tabs as a 1 click tele (if you die inyour house you respawn outside safely), you can recharge noted glories, and pkers tend to give up after a few failed attempts. -
I second this game, it was pretty fun and got me hooked for quite a while It's quite slow to start off, but once you get going with attacking others (or playing defensive known as "turtle") you can have a lot of fun. Although it's a text-based game, with the overview and such, you really get the feeling that you see things happening. Has a wide array of ships that, with the right ratios and balance, you can pull off some effective profitable hits. If you really get into it, you will most likely have a tight schedule as this is vital if you wish to survive in this game, a bit like farming, but a single careless mistake can cost you months of building ships

don't mistake "fun" and "valuable" with "useless"

Right, but the thing about any other way of making money is that you must be doing it the whole time in order to make money. The point with farming is that, for the 8-10 minutes you spend actually farming out of every 75 minutes, it is THE BEST method for making money for those 8-10 minutes. You will make more money than anything else skill related. In other words, you will make more money RCing and farming than you will RCing alone. Without farming, you are making less money per hour. Therefore, farming is the best moneymaking skill there is, since you MUST farm in order to maximize your gold earned per hour from skills. I don't see what's so hard to understand. RCing is that you start rcing and in that hour you have made the money. For this farming method you plant it, you LEAVE IT FOR A WHILE and come back. There may not be any effort, but the time is still there. We're calculating the rates on a basis of money per time. Not money per effort. The time spent waiting still counts. Of course, arguably you could go off and do another skill, but right here we are talking about the money given from ONE skill alone. And regardless, if we could hypothetically say that the waiting time doesn't count, runecrafting still beats it by almost double. Well, at least there is something useful in what you said: if you combined 91 rc with your farming systems perhaps you could make quite a bit more cash :-$

whats the rarest item which isn't a rare???
Solidus_77 replied to mrmyk's topic in General Discussion
I don't know how many, but I know it's more than farming, slayer and construction capes First is Construction, then is Slayer, then farming, herblore and runecrafting are pretty close, I think, but I don't know which order they come in. -
I don't think that makes it to the top 10

Those go for anyone who is greedy, with or without rares. Don't blame rares for making people greedy, it's human nature. Your simple bias against rares also implies that you deny their immense value. The race for #1 doesn't depend on rares, and that's what you're basically annoyed at. Also, your simple bias against rares also implies that you deny their immense value. Rares cause verbal aggression? No that's immature idiots who do that. Bullying is done a lot more via skills (like, omg noob I've got better skills than you) Goals lead to competition and runescape is based on goals and achievements so you're basically criticizing rares for what makes runescape the game it is. "pumped into rares"? that's probably the worst description of "savings" I've ever heard. Compliments for getting it right none the less.

You're welcome, I'll give them next time I see you on, probably this weekend (and also buy 100 sara brews) -
I've already explained it, but running to all 5 herb patches, harvesting and replanting, takes less than 10 minutes. Each run harvesting snapdragons will make you around 140k. 1 hour of farming time is 6-7 runs. 7 runs of making 140k is 998k per hour. Even if you are only level 32 farming and grow ranarrs, you make around 600k in an hour of farming. That's NET profit. NET profit with runecrafting, ie factoring in essence costs, isn't even close to that until you have 91 runecrafting. Now, what's easier and faster to get - 32 farming or 75 runecrafting? 63 farming or 91 runecrafting? Exactly. Ergo, farming is the best moneymaking skill there is. So basically farming is the 600k an hour if you take out the waiting time. Well you don't take out the waiting time. I have to go with qeltar on this one. and to whoever said fally world 2. There's no proof, the rate per hours varies inconsistantly

Well we are to blame for that. Us and the "invisible hand" (a full batch of cookies to the person who knows what the invisible hand is)

Once again, you've got nothing but arbitrary claims. Why is the economy the next 3 months? Why not just 1 month? is the rate of 3:2 post for phat to Third age actually based on some facts or did you just look at the forums one day and see this? Third age prices, no matter what, are not going to gradually increase over time. That characteristic is for discontinued items alone and therefore Third age will not "act like rares". What we have right now are some prices that jump all over the place, that's not at all like rares which have a sustained increase over a longer period of time. The third age are going to have a sustained decrease over time most likely. Seems to me you just notice some price changes and see the same kind of changes in phats and just assume they both changed for the same reason, which is obviously not the case.

mEb. People don't usually try to go for a skillcape and then decide for a rare all the time. They could jsut as well go for another skillcape. Then you've got more waves of people who will go for skillcapes (The easy ones most of the time of course).
-
That's all? really that's quite weak. Noobs usually give people 8 mill quite often.

Why is quitting Runescape so difficult?
Solidus_77 replied to eyehawk78's topic in General Discussion
that's usually when the fiendish voice inside your head starts saying "wait! What about your goals? don't tell me you've given up already etc..." -
??~~??Most Annoying P2P Quest??~~??
Solidus_77 replied to Cabbage_Boii's topic in General Discussion
Challenging and annoying are different. My vote goes for Rat catchers. I usually like quests, but after finishing that quest, I thought "wow, that was the worst quest I have done, I am so glad I am done with it". Personal things I disliked about that quest 1. The house was annoying. The stealthy thing is a good idea, but it got too tedious after a while. 2. The whole quest had you going from all kinds of slums and sewers and other despicable areas around runescape 3. The whole idea of the quest is to kill rats in one way or another, so cruel. 4. It promoted the worst sport in British history. Where cats or dogs would tear apart innocent rats as a sport that people would bet on. It's because I'm an (ex) rat owner. And I will always love my pet rodents . -

Tripsy always answers questions, thats why I lurrve her Watch: Is Dustyy a "leet" farmer? :D and she's an awesome skiller, and she loves construction and she has incredible patience as well as the ability to make skilling look thrilling. What's not to like? : Oh, by the way tripsis, I've got a few empty vials for you if you'd like. -
So, spoilers from which season?
-
With acting I meant upsides and downsides in prices. We've already seen their price flipping up and down. So not only increase in price. But once again that is not specific to rares. They flip up and down in prices for different reasons than rares.
