Ive powermined iron on my way from 75 to 85 (although that was more then 1.5 years ago), and I got 40k an hour max. I believe the absolute maximum you can get on iron is 42k xp an hour, which comes down to 1.2k iron ores an hour. And that would only be possible if you never got any randoms.

I must say im becoming increasingly impressed by jagex needs to get up hopes, and then releasing extremely disappointing quests. Theres a lot of potential in this quest line, but this quest was just lame. I had my hopes up for what lies below, which sounded good enough to actually be something, and I had my hopes up for this quest, as the storyline has some potential, as I said before, but Im starting to believe that getting my hopes up is not the wisest thing to do these days. Lets just hope next month will give us something better then 2 quests totalling about 1 hour of playing time.

Im hoping for some kind of mini-quest or mini-game after reading that note. Thats probably where that new weapon will come in handy as well. I guess we will just have to wait and see. I doubt its an anagram though.

All the information gathered has been around for quite a while now, so is the white knight watching Burthtorpe. There has also been an official poll on the runescape website on this topic, it might be interesting to post the results here. I do hope that, considering this has been around for quite a while, the quest(s) related to this subject will be challenging as they seem to be taking plenty of time to release them. I doubt there is much more to investigate though, case closed for now if you ask me

I must give a point to Gedderz on what he said, although it is quite hard to read this way On the article, it was quite interesting to read, but it is not exactly my opinion. In my opinion, it was not exactly stupid to focus more on a younger audience. Considering to other online games, Runescape is quite cheap and therefor affordable to this younger audience. Not too mention that there are more growth opportunities in this younger audience then there are in the more mature audience, which are, as the editor itself more or less stated, in general more devoted to their game. I do agree that a lot of the more mature players like me (18 years old and over 5 years of rs experience) are sometimes annoyed by some of the more useless quests (tower of life anyone?) and other updates that make no sense, but the editor (most likely being a few years older then I am) should understand that we are part of a minority here. Even after all our years of experience, we are not worth that much more to Jagex as we still pay the same amount of money as any other member of whatever age and experience would. Of course I'd love them to give us a quest that actually requires brain capacity, or other intelligently designed high lvl content, but we have to face the fact that it won't happen too often as the large majority will be unhappy if they are without updates for longer then 2 weeks (actually theres already a lot of people complaining if the weekly update is a day late) The part on management is quite well written I'd say, I'm following several business courses in university this year and it actually follows some of the growth patterns we had to study on, quite interesting to see that. And on the Enterpreneur/suit person thing, I guess we will have to see what they really are, it is still possible they are growing with their company. Wow, quite a long post I've made here, I hope someone can be bothered to actually read it all :D

So, what do you think it will be?

Ah yes, I knew I did something wrong there, I meant to say that I doubt it will be released right now #-o Of course itll be released at some point in the future, Im guessing the second half of this year. What most people seem to forget (as I havnt seen anyone mention it here yet), is that the demand for rune essense will not only increase because people with 77+ runecraft will try to make their profit when the altar is released, but also (and I believe the impact will be about as big) because of the people that will want to achieve 77 runecraft once Bloodcrafting is released. To add to that, I highly doubt Bloodcrafting will be released. The way BTS mentioned the runecrafting rewards, made me think of the construction update (which was like: we will release chairs you can actually sit on). Im not saying we will get a new skill, but summoning (as a part of magic) sounds very much possible to me, we've been waiting for ages now :-k

Don't we all want a bit of everything? Considering I like quests, I'm hoping for sequels to the current storylines, and maybe the introducting of a new interesting storyline (I'm hoping for a storyline in Ardougne, since we had that poll about what 'happened to King Valance or whats his name) Also, they should finally do something about our banks, the current system is too annoying to work with now that our bank space is (I think) about twice the size it was when RS2 was released

I'm wondering, did they change monster names, or are those the same as in the English version (for example, is an Abberant Specter still an Abberant Specter?)

+1 for Doodles, my thoughts exactly. Dont know about your comment there brave, China is quickly developing at the moment, but you probably have more reliable sources then I have when stating that about 95% doesn't have access to the internet. I don't believe the government is keeping people from using internet though, as far as I know they only block potentially dangerous sites (in their eyes).

I must say I highly doubt Dutch will be the next language beta released. Considering Runescape is widely known in Holland, growth opportunities here are a lot smaller then they are in Germany, France and Spain, just to give a few examples. As a company, Jagex is interested in making profit, and creating extra growth opportunities in countries where Runescape isn't played as much is much more interesting for them then giving people who are playing anyway just a little extra. To add, I am Dutch, and I wouldnt play rs in my own language anyway, because I know it would mostly attract the little kids that greatly annoy me by spelling about every single word wrong, next to the fact that I find an international community in a English language server far more pleasant then one of only Dutch people, as I feel that most Dutch kids are arrogant, can't handle critisism and only care about themselves. My bet is on either a French or a Spanish version next, and I do hope that the German beta will be opened up to everyone soon, I'd love to walk around to see how they translated everything.

You can try your luck in about every world, as long as you avoid the Mage arena bank and some multi areas. Wildy is pretty much dead except for that

Actually, a wallpaper with these things was released like 3 months ago, also announcing that these penance healers would be in Barbarian Assault (not stated it would be a minigame at that time, but many people guessed that waaaay before)

In stead of just a woodcutting guild, they should make a guild that requires certain lvls in Woodcutting, Firemaking and Fletching. I was thinking of 80 woodcut, 75 firemaking and 80 fletching, or maybe a combined total of 240 or something, as keeping it open for lower lvls would make it extremely overcrowded. It would probably contain maple, yew and magic trees, maybe a flax field, a tinderbox spawn, an axe shop, and I also really liked the idea of the 28 spots with the teleport place at the end, although we would need quite a few of those lines considering you cant make fires on top of other fires. Also, someone should come up with a good name for such a guild :-k

If you have the required slayer lvl (52 I think), jellies would be a good option. I got quite a few clues there after the big clue update

Ulizius is the monk guarding the gate to Mort Myre swamp, in Morytania. Youll need to have finished the Priest in Peril quest to get to him

Ive gotten 2 in total, in quite an amount of slayer tasks, Id say raking up to about 1500 kills. Id say your guess of 1 on every 750-1000 would be quite good

If you lose it, youll have to kill the abyss creatures again. If it degrades(dunno if small pouches actually degrade, but ok), you can talk to the mage in the centre of the abyss

My drag square, havnt taken it out in a looooong time since its now completely useless because of obby shield and defenders

Had the same thing happening with the zombie clothes. I think jagex forgot to change this when they added the costume room. Not really a glitch :notalk:

You must use the branches on the basket frame, not on auguste. I cut my own branches, so it should work
