  1. I don't believe they stack. But you can use both at the same time. I am 95 fishing, and a lobster won't let me barehand sharks. But a fishing pot will. So I use a pot to barehand and a lob for the foraged fish.
  2. I like the notion of taking the trapdoor to Keldagrim, smelting and then glorying back to Edgeville for banking bars or selling at the GE. I just took a familiar from Edgeville bank through the trapdoor to Keldagrim & it worked.
  3. There really is no way to know when the high point will be. You could sell it, then Jagex could nerf the drop rate and it would modify the graph. Or they could juice it up and the item would peak faster. Or they could relent and make the adze equal to a dragon pick, and the pick would become a fancy merch item. No one knows. If you plan on training mining, I say keep it and use it. But if you are one of the hack n slashers who kills things for drop income, I'd recommend selling. It's a drop item, more will come into the game every day and it will never be more rare than it is right now. Any price shenanigans are just merchants at work, and someone always gets left holding the bag when a merch is involved.
  4. You wanna know what annoys the flying fishsticks out of me? People on this board quoting posts and then adding "This." It's tip.it's version of "Me Too" Might as well start adding tags around it, This. or This. If I wanted SPAM, I'd buy a can in the supermarket.

  6. I'll just throw in 2 things: (1) I've been getting 220 each for astrals this past week (2) I've been buying up pure essence, and will continue to hoard up as often as I can afford it
  7. The last five songs in the iTunes shuffle: Talking Heads - Mind Deer Tick - Art Isn't Real (City of Sin) Electric Light Orchestra - The Diary of Horace Wimp Sheryl Crow - Steve McQueen Led Zeppelin - When the Levee Breaks
  8. I, for one, think the mine is the best part of the reward. They've mixed in a generous helping of 10 addy & 8 gold spawns along with 2 runite spawns. It's the first runite mine where it's actually worth it not to world-hop.
  9. The last five songs in the iTunes shuffle: Kate Bush - Experiment IV (12" mix) Elvis Costello & The Attractions - Battered Old Bird Led Zeppelin - Fool in the Rain The Archies - Sunshine Kip Adotta - Wet Dream
  10. I predict Summoning going to the back burner as people rush to more profitable skills such as Runecrafting. The current rush on pure ess would seem to bear me out.
  11. So it seems you cannot have both fixed price shops & variable price shops in the game engine at the same time. It must be one or the other. Sorry, but this just sounds bogus to me. I'm not buyin' it.
  12. I always fight GWD foes in the main room. I have 1 of each God item, so I don't have to worry about being attacked. I believe if you attack a spiritual ranger/mage/warrior while they are already in combat, they will continue to attack what they were fighting and not attack you. They don't turn & fight you like aviansies do. You don't really have to worry about praying this way. I always take a bunyip just in case, so I san stand there & heal back up for a bit if I have to.
  13. The switcheroo with Dell Monti's pineapples for Karamja shop prices really rubs me raw. I always carried my gloves on slayer tasks, and came back to Shilo. I sold my drops to Oldi there for the best cash without alching. It was convenient and easy on the way to getting a new task. To me, 40 pineapples a day is an insult. Apparently, I was the only person doing this. I have seen no one else even mention it.

  16. Heh. I am going through the "Personalized Shops" thread now. Once you get past all the [wagon]-kissers (ex: "GJ Jagex!!!!! :-) :-)"), you start to see all the inherent problems with what has been done. (bolded emphasis is mine) These guys are winging it, pure & simple.
  17. Spot on. We got ripped on that one. 40 freakin' pineapples - you can pick those in 5 minutes.
  18. The last five songs in the iTunes shuffle: The Beatles - Rain Sting - Fields of Gold Electric Light Orchestra - 10538 Overture (live) Suzanne Vega - Soap and Water Hess Is More - Ssshhhh
  19. FWIW, I go once a week and chop trees / withdraw rewards. I put 525000 back into the coffers every Friday, to replace what was depleted. I have 10 on fish and 5 on coal (coal is just over 200 each lately).
  20. Well, last night I decided to take a slayer break and work on my house design. I started by crudely drawing my current house in pencil on graph paper, with each room as a 4x4 square block. I then took an ink pen and marked the rooms that wouldn't have to be moved (3 of them, out of the 22). The chapel, workshop & parlor all survived from the ground floor. Everything else ended up moving. I then went upstairs and started removing rooms and removing quest hall trophies. Once I got to the costume room, I went back downstairs and went to the place it would be in the new plan. Being able to move that room with one click was a big time saver. I then went back upstairs and removed the last room. I ended up with a ring shaped plan - 6 rooms across & 5 rooms down. This left a large grassy area in the center, where I located the exit portal and my 1 room dungeon (purely for building oak doors). My uncompleted menagerie provides a gap in the ring. There are three empty placeholder rooms on the right side of the loop that can be replaced with anything new Jagex develops in the future. I've used 21 of my 25 rooms. I use my house a lot as a transportation nexus - I teleport home to use free glory transports or portal to Canafis. This redesign will help streamline star chasing & bone offering. I don't have a throne room or any of that ego stuff. My house is useful and helps me pursue goals in the game. I value it greatly and can't imagine how I would ever do without it. Now if they can just give us a spa room and let us smuggle Oo'glog water into it...
  21. Try training on a plank dropper to lower those raw materials costs.
  22. The last five songs in the iTunes shuffle: The Clash - Should I Stay Or Should I Go Queen - We Will Rock You (Rick Rubin remix) Close Lobsters - I Kiss the Flower In Bloom Sting - Lithium Sunset The Charlie Daniels Band - Saturday Night Down South
  23. When I started my POH, I intended to make it look like a large mansion-type house, with bedrooms upstairs, kitchen & workshops downstairs. I like the way it looks - but it is hella impractical. For instance, somehow my study & telescope ended up in an upstairs room, as did my teleportation portal. There is much I would change if I had it all to do over again. One day, I hope to redo much of it. I want a Roman style layout, with a central grassy forum surrounded by a ring of rooms. But I will spend a lot of time drawing this house out on graph paper before I commit any money to the project. Last time, I was winging it and it shows. :?
