  1. The last five songs in the iTunes shuffle: Yes - Owner of a Lonely Heart Stu Philips | Los Angeles Philharmonic - Main Title: Theme From Battlestar Galactica R.E.M. - Man on the Moon Suzanne Vega - When Heroes Go Down Rush - Kid Gloves
  2. If they are being merched, it's a fail because the pots are not keeping up with herb prices. I'm just sayin' - there's no way I sell cut rate pots - especially not prayer pots. And I doubt I am alone. You can't blame this on clans, though. It's like CampbellMC says, there's this supposition that the pots are supposed to cost less than the herbs - and that the only real value in potions is for the xp. The laws of supply & demand are crashing head on with the cockeyed notion that herblore should be a money loser. And I am laughing up my sleeve.
  3. Let's examine that prayer pot remark: Clean ranarr - 12.3K Grimy ranarr - 11.7k Prayer potion (3) - 11.3k I could sell and lose about 400gp each or I could save the pots for my own use. I wouldn't sell the pots either - this is not rocket science and to blame a clan is just scapegoating. It makes no sense to sell at these prices. If I make any prayer pots nowadays, I hoard them like the treasures they are.
  4. Unless that's changed, the WOM only advises on F2P items.
  5. They've recently fixed the bull roarer gaffe; you can have multiples now.
  6. The last five songs in the iTunes shuffle: Wings - Let 'Em In James Levine / Chicago Symphony Orchestra - Orff: Carmina Burana - O Fortuna (you have probably heard it in Gatorade ads) Talking Heads - Give Me Back My Name The Police - Rehumanize Yourself BR5-49 - Cherokee Boogie
  7. Not every skill has gaps, though. For example, smithing is stuffed to the gills with no openings below 99. But if you add in new things above 100, then that calls into question skill mastery capes at 99. And if you move the capes to 126, you piss off a lot of cape owners. I imagine if the folks at Planet Jagex had it all to do over again, the capes would be at 126. But now... inertia is a powerful force.
  8. I buy grimy herbs at the GE, clean them, then sell them back to suckers trying to buy Herblore capes. You can make nice money this way. I make 40K xp per hour on torstol. You'd get less xp, but at least you wouldn't be throwing money at useless pots (Like Serum 207).
  9. Pardon my necromancy. I have been on Dorgesh-Kaan course this morning. I find that I do not fail until my level drops below 80. I carry an inventory of agility pots and keep my eye on levels. Not failing as long as I am 80 or above. I find that if I run to the first obstacle and then pot, I can get to the generator & back on the long course with just 1 dose of agility potion. My agility usually hits 79 again right as I hand the part to Turgall. The kicker is that you can drop a level while you are in mid-obstacle - and that is when you slip and fall, when you go from 80 to 79 while you are on a ladder/rope/pillar. As long as you pot judiciously, D-K is great at 79.
  10. Sir Paul McCartney is offering "Great Day" as a free download for a limited time (it's in some new Adam Sandler movie). The last five songs in the iTunes shuffle: The Grateful Dead - Touch of Grey Primitive Radio Gods - Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth With Money In My Hand Elvis Costello & The Attractions - I Hope You're Happy Now The Beatles - Lady Madonna Sting - Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot
  11. Yeah, GWD is a great place. The safe spots don't really matter - just wait until they are fighting something else and range away.
  12. If you can scan the envelope and post a pic, I might be better able to answer. You should white out your return address.
  13. The last five songs in the iTunes shuffle: Big Country - The Sailor The Sugarcubes - Birthday Dennis McCarthy - Star Trek: Generations Overture The KLF w/ Tammy Wynette - Justified and Ancient (Stand By The JAMs) (12" version) Three Dog Night - An Old Fashioned Love Song
  14. The last five tunes in the iTunes shuffle: Queen - Good Company Van Morrison - So Quiet In Here Paul Simon - Me and Julio Down By the Schoolyard Robyn Hitchcock & The Egyptians - Bad Case of History Madonna - Ray of Light
  15. Brett Lorenzo Favre annoys the hell out of me. Retired... unretired... retired... unretired... he changes his mind more than a woman at a discount shoe store. :x I think Dr. Seuss once wrote a book "Brett Lorenzo Favre, Will You Please Go Now?" Or if he didn't, he should have.
  16. The last five songs in the iTunes shuffle: Sting - When We Dance Lindsey Buckingham - Trouble Prince - Space Bruce Hornsby & The Range- The Valley Road The Waterboys - The Whole of the Moon
  17. The last five songs in the iTunes shuffle: Paul Thorn - Ain't Love Strange The Pogues - Fairytale of New York Jackson Browne - That Girl Could Sing The Police - Message in a Bottle Paul Simon - The Boy in the Bubble
  18. Kafei's Law of Runescape Economics Any item you want to buy, yet cannot afford is overpriced.
  19. If you figure your cost by the total inventory and not just the bones, you will get a truer answer. You can carry 25 bones, 2 marrentils and a tinderbox. 50,609 dragon bones = 2025 loads, so you would have to factor in the cost of 4050 marrentills. 812.317 normal bones = 32,493 loads, so you would have to factor in the cost of 64,986 marrentills. So if you want to use normal bones, you would have to buy 60,936 more marrentills than you would using dragon bones. 60,936 * 473gp per marrentill = 28,822,728gp just for the herbs. Still think normal bones are a bargain?
  20. If you can get to 99 Cons on limestone alone, you are a better man than I am. I am having enough motivational problems using oak planks. I suggest training combat on a plank-dropper to ease the financial pain. Some of those can drop teak planks, which can be a big help in picking up the construction pace.
  21. The last five songs in the iTunes shuffle: XTC - Church of Women Talking Heads - Making Flippy Floppy We Are Smug - Words That I Can't Say Koji Kondo - Kakariko Village Billy Joel - My Life
  22. Obviously Jagex could find out with a simple query against player banks. But that does the rest of us little good. With the end of RWT, and seeing as these items are so thinly traded, a physical census might actually work. Someone takes on the project, meets owners online and sees the phat in trade. The volunteer could keep count of how many there are and post the count & owner on a blog. It might not be 100% accurate, but it would give a good reasonable ballpark number of how many are owned by active players. I might even be willing to take the project if it seems feasible.
  23. You can also use a dragonfire shield for the wyverns. I second this; that's what I used.
  24. When you look at the other daily/weekly chores in the game, the payout for this one seems a bit out of line. AFAIAC, this is a good thing. There's already quite a long list of daily/weekly chores. It's becoming almost like a second job. I don't do Bork, the Jade Vine, the Phoenix and now I can feel free to not do this new one as well.
  25. The last five songs in the iTunes shuffle: 10,000 Maniacs - Cherry Tree Queen - She Makes Me (Stormtroopers In Stilettos) The Beatles - Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da House of Pain - Jump Around INXS - Kiss the Dirt (Falling Down the Mountain) Hump Day Bonus Song: Re-Flex - The Politics of Dancing
