People should be able to purchase certain tasks from their slayer masters, it's so louzy to have your friend getting icestrykewyrms every 4 tasks while all you get are jungle and desert strykewyrms. Or you want fire giants but in 100 assignments you only had them once. I've come up with an answer for every problem that's why i think this would work if Jagex would put this in their game. The way it's written down is the final version, i don't think i need to change anything as i've covered everything there is to cover. Nothing can be abused, people won't suddenly get 100 times richer or spawns won't suddenly get 100 times more packed. This just adds more variaty to the skill and a lot of fun, the only real benificial things i see in it is that at a high slayer level you might just make a tiny bit more money but not more (nor less) experience but you'll also get a lot of freedom in the monsters you can get assigned to. I guess a lot of players want this, or am i the only one, or do you have no idea what i'm talking about? Maybe you should just continue reading then. ^^ All buyable tasks have a set amount of monsters you need to slay, this will be explained soon. Certain tasks cost more points than other tasks and slayer masters have their unique set up of buyable tasks. Completing a purchased task also counts towards your total amount of tasks completed and awards the normal amount of points. You can buy up to 3 tasks each day but this can be increased to 5, by increasing your level and investing slayer points! At level 1 slayer you can do as much as 1 task each day, this increases every 20 levels for as long as up to 80. At level 60 & 80 you must spend slayer points to unlock the higher limit. Investing 100 slayer points increases the amount to 4 (lv 60) and investing another 200 points increases the amount to 5 task daily! You can not purchase another buyable task before you completed one assigned assignment. (one you got from a slayer master, not from spending points) Once you've purchased a task you will not be able to pick a same one until the next day from any slayer master, this excludes picking a random task. Buying a random task will assign you to either one of the availible tasks. Tasks might be unavailible when: 1. You lack the slayer level required to kill the npc. 2. You already purchased the same task from a different slayer master. All monsters are unique to their slayer master, so this only affects strykewyrms. 3. You do not have enough points availible to purchase the task. 4. You already purchased your daily limit of tasks. Buyable task list.: Turael: 1. Crawling hands (40) (free) 2. cave bugs (30) (free) 3. To start, lets just say i love hunting for clues and some even might remember my name from one of the earliest complete TT guides that was released on the web. Anyway i have never stopped clue hunting and i have never skipped nor dropped a clue in my life, i did die once though with a clue, the thought of not knowing what i got still haunts me. I also forget to screen about 10% of my lv 3 clues and about 20% of my lv 1 clues.... i do however, not forget to take a screenshot when there's a treasure trail item in the reward. Here's my old collection of clue rewards but i'm working on a new one that will look better, eventually i'll make the boxes red blue or green for those with a special item. Warning big image! -First heap are lv 2 clues, the second smaller heap are lv 2 clues and the last heap are lv 3 clues. And here are the new ones i'm working on. -Lv 1 and 2 clue rewards. -Lv 3 clue rewards. Note: All rewards are logged in order but like i said, there's a few ones that i've left out but none of those rewarded anything important anyway.

Nice skill total man and also a nice bank, but you should ivnest in something XD
-
Never gatestoned or ran out of a boss room, because i never did had to escape a boss fight though :P So this won't affect me at all.
-
Well that's just one mans opinion, we don't all fail in real life if we play rs. Ask yourself this, can i live my life like i should and like i want while i play Rs on a daily basis? If the answer is yes without a doubt then there's nothing to worry about. And just like Moik said, it's like drugs like alcohol and cannabis. Rs can also be considered a drug but many people make the mistake between soft and hard drugs. While there's only a difference between lethal and non lethal drugs and soft and hard usage but no soft or hard drugs. All drugs is bad, ciggaretes, computers, tv's, macdonalds, alcohol, etc... Very well said.

There's more creatures in the fight caves than you got for your task, so if i'm not mistaking the slayer helm will not work on jad, i could be wrong though.
-
Hmm a third game and their second is not yet finished, Jagex is thinking big. i'm really looking forward to see results! Rs style game with wow style pvp owuld be GODLIKE!

So people can't tell when you've been online or not. Same reason why we can put our friends chat on private, so other people can't see when we're online so they can annoy us.

101 Suggestions, #19 (again), #20, and #21.
svs replied to mister_moocky's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Nice work, all i got to say is that Jagex should hire people like you. -
Nice thought out and nicely written, i agree with most of your points but all points are good ideas so i won't break them down. The ones i especially like is the boss room warning, gatestone on map locator and less penalty on death, death shouldn't even result in exp loss, it's just nonsense.
-
Yeah uhm, thought that especially would make sense, i tried to explain everything else in detail so ehm... is that working out a little? XD Why not ask how you can make a monster flinch when it hits a zero :P Edit: By the way str is still in progress! Edit 2: Finished strength and put in some new ideas for something else, so how do you guys like it? ::P

But not anyone could master any skill, well not after a bit of practice. Before i get on to my idea i must first say that the point of skill mastery is to really master your skill, anyone could get a 99 nowdays but truly mastering a skill should be something completely different. Mastering a skill will take you on a a mini-quest that takes much more into account than just cutting down 521,378 normal trees to get to 99... But don't get me wrong, it shouldn't take too much effort, just a "small" test with "capacity" to see if you really learned anything yet. With that said, in the mini-quests it's very important to make use of the game mechanics and come up with certain ideas that might soften your task. For instance, if you get attacked by a few knights for the strenght mastery you could line them up but then again you must be carefull for the ones with long melee weapons to attack you from behind their pals. So if you got my point by now it's really about skill, most encounters are random but are still fair so you have the same raw amount of chance to succeed a mastery, the rest is up to the player. [Notes] If you noticed a flaw somewhere, and i mean a flaw like for example i left out a small detail that could make the skill mastery ten times easier (use of prayers for example) please let me know. Ideas are also very welcome, i'll run out of inspiration soon and good ideas always give inspiration. [~Skill mastery~] [some More Info] A player can start undertaking a skill mastery mini-quest as soon as the player achieved one 99 stat and obtained a skillcape. A skillcape is the only item you can bring on these quests, all other items are given to you when the time is right and taken away from you when you no longer need them. A skillcape must also be worn in order to undertake certain actions, you may for instance not be able to deal damage without wearing your skillcape! Once a skill is mastered the skillcape will become enhanced and the wearer of one will be given certain previleges or abilities. Certain masteries unlock only two abilities while others might unlock more, there's one ability that's unlocked for every skill (excl. Dungeoneering) and that's an extra level you temporary gain for as long as you wear the skillcape, this extra level stacks with any other skill boost out there meaning you will still get the same amount of boosted levels as you would without this extra level. The only catch there is, is that you can only have one mastered skill active at any one time, but you can if you wish master any skill you have maxed. Your first skill mastery is free, your second mastery costs 200K and every mastery after that is 10% cheaper than it's precessor(sp?) It is possible to fail your mastery, a new try is entirely free. Once you have mastered multiple skills you may switch between them for the cost of 200K, this cost does not lowers the more times you switch. I'll try to put the difficulties for the skill masteries on a scale, a fight vs Jad on the first week of his release is 100% difficulty. [The Masteries] [Attack] 80% difficulty. Click for Image of the dungeon where the mastery takes place -You must protect an artifact from getting destroyed by a zombie invasion. -The artifact was uncovered recently by dwarves but the dwarves need some rest and most of their troops are dead. -You will be dropped unarmed in a zone not much larger than the KBD Lair where hundreds of zombies will dug up from beneath your feet that will attack the artifact, which is located in the middle of the zone. -You can not walk trough the green goo while the zomies can. -Touching the artifact restores all your run energy. -The zombies don't fight back and crumble to dust or fall to pieces when you hit them. -You will have 12 blockades (1x1 sq.) with you that you can place down to block zombies if there's too many, a blockade disintigrates after 30 seconds. -Even though zombies aren't the brightest, if too many are blocked by a blockade they might get pushed over or around them. -If the artifact survives the 10 minute assualt you will succeed and the invasion will stop. Special enchanced attack skillcape abilities unlocked: 1.] A different skillcape emote. 2.] While attacking monsters lower than your own combat level each time you deal zero melee damage you will get an extra swing before your next attack without delay. [Notes] You cannot kill zombies without wearing an attack skillcape. Each spawn point will spawn a fixed limit of zombies but the moments they spawn are entirely random, the total amount of zombies that spawn every minute is also fixed. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* [strength] 70% difficulty Click here for a map of a plane where the mastery takes place -This skill mastery takes place on a plane in another dimension and you will have to battle your way trough waves of animated knights in a multicombat zone. -The southern room is where the knight appear, the red line that seperates the two rooms is an energy wall, players cannot walk trough it. -The northern room is where you'll fight the knights, there's no place to hide. -There's 3 types of knights, each have a unique weapon equipped identical to yours and have either a red, green or blue colored armor. -You also have 3 types of weapons at your disposal, a two handed mace, a set of hammers and a one handed lance that reaches up to 3 squares, the knights weapons are identical to yours. -You may also take 10 food rations with you healing 100Hp each or 5 food rations and a potion (1 dose) that deals an extra 10 damage for the next 30 hits. -When you equip a weapon you will emit a certain type of glow, either a red, green or blue glow. -Each color has a counter color, attacking a color that counters you lowers the damage of your weapon and incrases the damage you receive. -The damage for each weapon is set, 30 if you counter an enemy, 20 if you attack an enemy with the same glow as yours and 10 damage if an enemy counters you, this damage is also the damage the knights deal. -A knight has 120 Hp while you have 2000 Hp. -The catch is that you may only equip your weapon when the knights are spawning in the southern room, every 2 seconds a knight spawns up to 10 knights at wave 10. -Once all knights spawned 3 more seconds will pass before they will charge you, once the first knight went trough the wall you can no longer switch weapons untill all knights are dead which upon in 2 seconds a new one will spawn. -On wave 1 one knight will appear, on wave 2 two knights and so on. -You have to judge quickly which weapon is best to use on which wave by looking at the color of their armor, one color will always be in majority while the two others will be in minority. -Prayers cannot be used in this plane. -Surviving the 10 waves completed the task. Strength skillcape abilities unlocked! 1.]A new skillcape emote. 2.]When fighting any type of monster each time they deal 0 damage (unprotected by protection prayers), You will make your opponent flinch which results in a slight delay of their next attack (about 50% slower). 3.] Your strenght skillcape reduces the weight the total bulk weight of worn items and items in your inventory by 10% [Notes] This is a little bit how mobilising armies works, this time you're solo and up against a whole army though. This mastery also is a bit easier than attack mastery because there's a bit more room for mistakes and it's more tactical as well. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* More to come: Defence Ranged Prayer ___________________________________________________ Something else i'll be working on is to give F2P players the ability to try out member skills but it will be limited. To be able to try out member skills as f2p you will need to seek out certain individuals and complete certain tasks for them. Once a task is completed the npc will boost your skill up to level 20, another small reward is also given, in form of items or experience. You can then try out any of the member sklls abilities up to level 20, even those requiring quests. You do not receive experience while training and the skill will only remain boosted for 75 hours, you may also only complete 1 task per week. Other than that, one must also earn 50K experience before a new task can be assigned. Oh and Houses remain p2p only but f2p will be able to build ranges and altars in Dungeoneering instead for as long as 75 hours. [Agility] To be able to benefit from agility as a non paying player you will need to seek out Ruthe who's wandering around the Varrock city walls. She has a secret but she needs to know if you're willing to do anything for it or not. She will assaign you with a random task to either chop 100 trees and give her the logs or mine 50 iron & 5 silver ores and give her the ores. Both this tasks must be completed in or around Varrock. Once this task is completed she will let you in on her secret which boosts your agility up to level 20! As well as 50 noted iron & 5 silver ores or 100 logs depending which task you had. [Construction] The skill Construction gets an exception here and won't be raised to level 20, instead you will be able to construct altars and ranges within Deamonheim much like members can but you won't need the level for it. This ability also lasts 75 hours. To unlock it you will need to seek out G. who's (disguised) as a tramp and is sleeping under the most western yew tree in the varrock castle gardens. You won't get anything out of him untill you annoy him so much that he will bribe you to go leave him alone. You must chop down the yew tree he's sleeping under and talk to him or talk to him if it's already cut down and he will move to the next, repeat this process untill he's at the third tree he will bribe you with a some scribblings on paper if you go away. These scribblings will teach you how to construct altars and ranges, after 75 hours you forget this knowledge. When you forget this knowledge it's time to see out the tramp once again, this time you'll find him sitting under the yew tree near the varrock museam. Talk to him and he will tell ask you to become his friend, accept this request and he will let you in on a little secret if you promise that you two will still be friends afterwards. He will then tell you that he once saw a genie that grants wishes but that noone believes him, tell him you believe him and he will turn back into a genie and grant you 100x the skill of your choice in experience. Idk what you're gonna do but what i wouldn't do is send it in for repairs, i had my xbox flashing 3 red segments a few times, my xbox doesn't runs some games and sometimes i get long ingame freezes that strangely recover back after a minute or two. I learned to coop with it but heck for 50 you can get a brand new xbox that hasn't been used yet, if you search long enough there's always people who sell unnused consoles for odd reasons. I learned that if you send something in for repairs you better be ready to wait a couple of months before you get it back. But then again, looks like you could get a free controller and a game if it's not repairable, if you play smart you might even get to select that game or color of controller. Meh xbox are so cheap nowadays you could even get a second handed one for 25 euro but those might also have some system errors lol, who knows. I won't send in my xbox because it's life is hanging on a thin wire that can just carry enough weight, i think if they try to fix it they might break it entirely.

Reminds me of my days as a kid where my dad always made promises and only kept half of them. The worst thing was that if he said we'd go soccor tommorow he'd postpone it until next week. I think we can all agree that when a promise is made that promise should be kept, otherwise one should not take the responsibility to make a promise. Don't play with fire if you can't handle the heat. Jagex should work more structured if they want to handle their monthly behind the scenes "deadline". Or they should just put some warning on their behind the scene page that sais that it's possible that not all updates might take place in the respective month, just because too many people assume too much... It's really easy to prevent a lot of frustration if you plan ahead, it's like playing chess
-
Okay well i'm still not pretty sure what it is now so i need someone who can really confirm it. Thanks anyways.

Either way, it's easy to quikly dispose of some revenants with a cannon even in a multi combat zone as long as you can "drag" revenents behind a wall or something so the other ones can't fire back. But like been said, there's around 6 demons there and all spawn very far apart from eachother, other than that there is no place where you can put your cannon to hit more than 3 targets at once and the target you hit will walk backwards and into a corner. Edit: They forgot one route and that's the route from the spiderweb down to the ardougne lever in the deserted keep. They teleport once they reach the lever, even when they're under attack. + there's other places where revenants teleport away from you when you attack them, only when it hits the end of a route, so when the route goes round in a circle they won't teleport.
-
If you aren't "too lucky" i'd keep them because i was in the same position and and my friend told me i should solve them and not save them so i solved 4 of them and none of the rewards went past 20k, that's what a i usually get i also said i'll get an avzrage of 20k per clue, seems like i was spot on. But there wasn't an update the next day and not even the day after that and i tried 2 more days to get a clue (i usually get 5-8 per day) but i didn't get a single one. So my point is, if you want to be one of the first to get new rewards you ask yourself this qustion and if the answer is yes than you should keep your clue, simple as that. Anyway just do about 4-5 parts that way you're certain you won't finish it by mistake because most clues have 7 parts but very few clues do have 6 or only 5 parts. Ps: Ragmar did you make no sense there or am i too incompetent to get it? :P
-
So you can only get them assigned them from duradel if you're in the posession of a fire cape, that correct?
-
I bought the ability to be assigned ice strykes from kuradel but what if i go to duradel in shilo village will he assign them too?
-
Totally off topic here, but it looks like the OP needs some backup because there's lots of trolls in here that look in the mirror and aren't bright enough to figure out that it's them they're looking at and not someone else. Anyway did you people forget this is the rant forum? Or are you just all trolling after your hours of trolling? So.... i'm back off never to visit this topic again because i already know what i'll get so save yourself the trouble eh ;)
-
Icefiends on white mountain, a bank isn't too far from them, they've got awesome drops and there's never anyone there, a very good place to train you should check it out.
-
Still with every possible advantage you can have for fishing sharks, fishing mokfish is still better exp and better profit.
-
What is your magic level? For instance fire wave would give most exp if you have a high enough magic level otherwise you'll splash too much. Firebolt + gauntlets is a very very cheap way of getting good magic experience at any level.

~Svstoned's Magnificent Slayer Log~
svs replied to svs's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
Just got 93 slayer and after cancelling 3 tasks i received 167 ice strykewyrms task. No sol drop but i did get 1.5m worth of drops that i kept with me and maybe another 50k that i didn't pick up. crushed nest x56 rune bar x10 rune essence x 3000 magic logs x40 laws x 205 deaths x 260 bloods x 135 water tally x 12 ranarr seed 41k loop half x3 emerald x2 saph x2 watermelon x5 100 silver ore Note: I'll be listing the drops for ice strykewyrms more detailedly for anyone interested. Is what i got. I also spend 550k on cannonballs so a 1m gain. Pretty neat task! I'm now going to open a few dragonstone gem chests maybe i'll make a profit but i doubt it, i know i'd better sell the keys but i prefer to open the chest myself :D Edit: Holy smokes i even made a profit, what about the adamant sq. though aren't they supposed to be rune? :P Can't upload it, site down. Also i'll be now using duradell for my main slayer man, i'll also switch living rock creatures with something else since duradel doesn't assign them. (probably with spiritual mages) duradels odd tasks like scarabite minions give better loot than kuradels odd tasks like terror dogs. I'm doing this to put some more variaty in my slayer tasks. For every 10th task i'll be ofcourse using kuradel. -
Bad clue reward? Post it here!
svs replied to DarkDude's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
