There's nothing differing a laptop cpu vs a desktop cpu in reading tempratures. Intel and AMD doesn't disclose everything, so the tempratures are never 100% accurate (but more or less). Personally i use coretemp, which has already been posted.

Hm, it's not the worst i've tasted, so i derail the thread a bit. But i just had a beer, "könig pilsner", it said in the store (something like) "a little bit peppar and spices" as taste. Which sounded nice, since most lagers are pretty plain. But it's a bit too much peppar. Tho i imagine it could do well with some sweet dishes, like sweet&sour chicken or something. But not too enjoyable alone.

[spoiler=hide] Have you seen the computer? Apparently the computer he listed has a power supply of 120 watts. 120 watts. Is this a desktop or a laptop? If it's a laptop, you aren't gonna be able to upgrade the video card. Hell, even if you do, the power supply supplies 120 watts! take out the CPU and the HDD, and what power do you have left for the GPU? If this is a desktop and you CAN replace the parts, now you're laying down 100 for a good power supply, 100 for a budget graphics card, and since we're spending so much replacing [cabbage] we might as well just build the damn thing. Is that a good graphics card? ( I say that because I always thought the bigger the size the better. Like 2gb or more?)I'm guessing it can support portal 2? Memory size only matters when you're dealing with the resolution. 1gb or more gets usefull when you go from 1680x1050, but more so from 1980x1080 and onwards. It also depends on how fast your graphics card is, 1gb with gt320 wouldn't make much difference since it's too slow. Mine is 512mb, and 1gb wouldn't make it faster... I might enjoy 1-2fps is some cases, but nothing that you'd notice nor need. Stores play tricks on "average Joe", they usually present something like "blahblah with nvidia 9200... 1GB!!!!!". I don't know that specs Portal 2 will have, checked their official site and wiki, but said nothing.

So, i'm probably gonna buy another new pair of shoes tomorrow. The gt320 is similar to 4670 which i got, as an example (ok mine is a bit overclocked, but still) i can play Assassins Creed 2 on high settings without lag. @Solartide... Lol. You kind of owned yourself in that post, of course you'll be bloody able to upgrade the graphics if you have a computer like that. Or would that computer have a motherboard which is one of a kind without pci-e slots at those specs? Please understand that people have different needs with their computers and stop trolling.

Haha Solartide, instead of bashing me in a thread you could pm me. The laptop doesn't suck. What do you consider a good cpu for instance? Does it need to be a hexacore? Hardware are produced in a wastly different line, from low budget to high budget. It all depends on your need. Sarumans laptop isn't good for gaming, i've already said that, but it's good for business and anything non-gaming. A computer does not suck if it has integrated graphics. ----- @Saruman: I'll post you some options on pre-built computers in a while, need to do some stuff first. Building it yourself isn't very difficult, as others have said. But, it might be more comfortable having a pre-built if you don't have anyone you know, that could help you out (ok sure, you can post here for instance, but it's easier to have someone next to you). It sorta feels rushed with a new computer, but unless Nyoshunt or someone has some ideas...

What is using 95%? You might have collected some dust which needs cleaning out. Also bear in mind, i don't know what temps you got in Canada, but where i am, my cpu is about 10-15c now during the summer than usual. No need to look for this now, but there's also these "laptop cooling pads", but no need to buy one before we figure out what's going on.

Bit lazy some times. Swearing quite alot. Short temper. Easily annoyed. Hate the idea of bacteria in certain situations (sounds weird). Very judgemental, altho i don't believe it's a big flaw. The laptop is good, except for when it comes to games. The graphics is ze hog. This won't change RS, but if it's slow, do you defrag it every once in a while?

You can't upgrade since it's a laptop. Could you also answer my other questions? Also, have you tried another browser? Just Nvidia doesn't make the card good, it's what components are on it.

Probably in my top 20 of the best ones. I agree. I hate it when kids go communist and blame money for everything. Without currency civilization would not exists. Every tribe would have their own value for items, preventing a unified economy over a very small area. Without a common system, none of the tribes could be united -except through brute force, already unstable enough, the lack of a common currency would make it more unstable still. So if everyone would have their own value wouldn't that also create a currency? Ofcourse it would but you couldn't just figure that out yourself could you? I understand this point, and like I said before, I wish Google would reimburse those people too. Those people shouldn't be forced into marriage to receive the tax break. It wouldn't be difficult to fix both ends (government/company). Altho from the posts that popped up here a few months ago, there seem to be more states allowing gay/trans people marrying in the U.S (i'm not American so i don't read alot of your news).

But it's not equality since straight couples have to be married to get the tax break, being in a domestic partnership for straight people would mean less money in the end.
