  1. Something like this: http://www.dabs.com/products/zoostorm-core-2-quad-q8400-4gb-1tb-dvdrw-windows-7-home-premium-74B1.html?refs=22 I don't know about the Zoostorm brand tho, so if any British could comment it would be good.
  2. Bit late reply. I have noticed it sometimes that the cpu isn't free. But just randomly. Nothing major tho.
  3. OT: Back as a mod? OnT: As the previous poster said, you could try different drivers. I'm running the latest from ATI and has so far no problems (4670). You don't get any sort of bluescreen, error-message (when shutting down or when you get back into windows?). Have you checked what temps your cpu+gpu reaches? 700w doesn't say much. If it's a random 700w china psu you can throw it out. Tho i wouldn't get a 700w psu for that build for starters, but anyways, no, if it's a proper psu it won't be playing tricks unless it's faulty.
  4. Norton is good for the everyday surfer, but damn expensive. The most important thing is, common sense. If you click on everything and surf into less than desirable websites, you'll catch crap anyways. I have been using Microsofts av for the last couple of months. I uninstalled Avira (tho still got it on the other computer). Installed it because Avira started giving me crap about my external harddrive and always a pop-up message about it. Anyways, MSE has been working good, altho it sometimes steals a bit from the cpu and i would really like for it to be more advanced with more settings to choose. There should actually be some sticky thread about anti-virus programs because this question always seem to pop up, maybe as a first entry in "unified tech and computers sticky".
  5. I haven't heard about a single one of them lol.
  6. The Expendables. Just saw it, and i liked it. I enjoy these sort of action movies a lot more than an action movie with a lot of stuff on the side of shooting. The jokes were brilliant, especially Arnold and president lol. Negatives i guess would be CGI effects, character info and the length. It could easily been 20min longer in my view. Good movie tho, blow [cabbage] up!
  7. If it was a pedo, good riddance.
  8. I had this experience very recently. Someone i know got a stomach operation where you clamp the intestines, in june i think it was. I don't see any reason to as why i should have to pay for it, if you eat crap food and don't exercise it's your problem. It's a persons own responsibility to take care of him/herself.
  9. Capello is a joke for not including Green. He made one, -one- mistake. The English team played horrific anyways. I think it's weak and mismanaging from him to not pick Green, he is a great goal keeper. To pick a 21 year old Watford keeper infront of Green is a joke.
  10. http://misco.co.uk/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=461532&CatId=0 88£ over your price, but the nearest to your desire for your price. CoD i guess on low-med settings. It's a too small budget to demand gaming performance from a laptop. A desktop computer would be much easier to find for your desired demand and budget.
  11. You didn't "say" all Muslims bear guilt for 9/11 because it's an implicit assumption at the basis of your argument. I like the way you interpret my posts. I have no underlying meaning with my posts. If you interpret it like that, that's up to you, but it's not what i'm saying.
  12. Haha, too funny. I have never said that i believe every muslim is a murderer nor would i think that about christianity if the same would happen. I don't know why these assumptions are made. I've already said what i think about this, and my answer is a few pages back; I don't think it's very fitting to build it so close to where it happened.
  13. Because it wasn't Christians who committed the terrorist attack. And what does it say about me? Please don't come dragging with some old crap like xenophobia. Because ultimately it is xenophobia. Not including it in the discussion doesn't make anybody less or more xenophobic. People always say "Don't bring X in here" because it would destroy their case. Eh no, it's not "fear of the unknown" which makes me have a different opinion than most in this case.

  16. You don't need to do that with Optimus. Basically the laptop comes with the Geforce card and integrated graphics. When the driver detects that the graphics card is necessary, it turns it on and smoothly switches the display. This way, the battery can be saved while not playing games/watching videos. Hmm, I guess I'll have to look into Optimus more before I make any more judgments, but I'd think that even if it switched to the integrated card you could still improve battery life by specifically setting it that way. The integrated card will use less power overall than the external one, but you can still throttle it to save even more power. Unless of course Optimus does that for you already. That would be cool. And I still stand by my point for USB 2.0 being all you really need. What do you really need the USB port for that requires high data transfer rates? Flash drives and maybe external hard drives. In both those cases the hardware itself and not the interface is often the limiting factor in transfer. Because you want to save time, it takes too long time to transfer big files with usb 2.0. And uhm no, please go and read up a bit about usb/transferring. USB is the limiting factor when you are transferring a file, which is why everyone is happy that usb 3.0 is coming along.
  17. USB 3.0 is totally unnecessary. Usually it's the hardware itself that's the bottleneck for performance, not the interface. Even the top of the line WD Raptor drives or SSDs can't make use of the capabilities of SATAII, and SATA has been around for the better part of a decade. I'd say USB will become relevant in about 5 years, but even then USB 2.0 will still be fine. Can't say anything on nVidia Optimus, but I'd advise against getting a 9-cell even if they do come out. If you've ever seen one, they're unsightly and bulky. Some people like it since it acts like a sort of elevating bar for angling your computer, but I think it just gets in the way when I'm on the go. Often just adjusting your power options (throttling CPU usage to ~75%, select maximize battery life option for video card, etc) will give you a lot more usage. My own laptop goes from 1-2 hours on full load playing stuff like CoD and ACII (just did that as a test) to around ~5 hours when I set everything to low. Lol. USB 3.0 is great, i so look forward to using it on my next motherboard. USB 2.0 is slow, and USB will never be the optimal interface since it always needs to be a converted signal. Continue to develop esata would be best.

I too would like to see minimum wage implemented in my country. A reason to as why telephone-selling companies still exists here is because there's is no minimum wage, they for example offer provision of what you sell instead.

I would be interested in knowing, are jobs within the Police available in UK and USA? If any British or American could answer, i'd be grateful. Mostly asking since i've heard that the police in the UK are always (more or less) trying to recruit people. I'm asking because in my country, more people apply for the police academy than seats are available. Not that i plan to move to become a cop, you need to get citizenship and all that, but i'd be interested in hearing.
  20. Checked around on Misco but didn't find any better deals. It's good. WoW won't be a problem, low-mid settings. "uni thing" i don't know what you mean by that, but if you're gonna use it for university and writing papers on it too... I would want a bigger screen.

  22. No, I wouldn't say disgusting really, i would probably put unfitting instead. But i'm not American, so i haven't bothered commenting this on a larger scale.
  23. Cab Driver Stabbed By Passenger Who Asked "Are You Muslim?" Oh for christ sake. Maniac attacks happens all the time.
  24. Hm, i'm not as attracted to flat chested girls as i am towards a girl with a nice pair. That said, i don't find a bigger lady (ok this has to do with the weight too which i don't find nice either) with a big pair attractive. I don't have any problems with a pair of fakes either, which quite a few seem to have. But have only seen it a couple of times IRL. I must say, smoke is really really unattractive. Was sitting on the bus home this evening, and this quite pretty girl sat down next to me. But stank of smoke! Ugh, and there wasn't any empty seats so i couldn't change. I mean, i enjoy a couple of cigars per year, but i couldn't live together with someone who smokes on a daily basis.
  25. Normal. A little bit high temperature for 100% load. Two ideas: Buy a can of compressed air and blow the dust out of your fans and the case (obviously hoover the floor afterwards), 2, if you know how to, you could also apply some new thermal paste if that hasn't been done in a while. And of course, the temperature depends on where your room is (i.e. sun-side) and if it's hot weather atm etc etc.
