  1. Harry and Voldemort. Harry is the last Horcrux and has to kill himself to kill Voldy. This has been discussed before. This is really just my belief, so don't go saying I spoiled ya cause it makes sooo much sense :P I thought the same thing. That was pretty much word for word my theory when I first saw a topic on this (may not have been on this forum) Then why does Voldy keep trying to kill Harry? As far as i remember, you want your Horcruxes to be preserved. If Harry's a Horcrux, Voldy would want to keep him alive, not kill him. Those books are okay...Decent plot, great characters/development, but her world/setting could use a little work...I mean, how the heck do the Muggles never notice the wizards? I mean, heck, even Hermionie's parents are Muggles. And most other good books I've read give some sort of explanation, or at least a hint, of what magic is, how it works, where it comes from - in the Harry Potter books, though, you just wave a wand and say words. :-s Overall, maybe 8/10. OotP gets a 7/10, though, and GoF or HBP (my favorites) get 9/10.
  2. Autolycus. He's on the first page of the high scores. (Some people may not know what that comes from...)
  3. i hax runsescape zomg!!1! all ur phats are belong to us!!!!111!1 roffl!!!!! (Bad spellings/grammar intentional.)
  4. Uno-quatro-dos-sieche-cinco. (I think I spelled the 7 wrong...and what's the point of this anyway?)
  5. This is the routine I'm starting: Each day, except for one off-day a week or days when I really can't, I do one hundred each of: -Jumping jacks -Crunches/situps -Lengths around my yard -Weight lifts (10lbs) I also ride my bike every now and then, and have P.E. in school every other day, where we often run a lot and do some basic warmups. At 13 years old, is this good?
  6. Granted. Someone else, just as lawless as you only better at it, kills you. (That shoulda been obvious...) I wish for the average I.Q on Runescape to increase, and the population of n00bs to dramatically descrease.
  7. Enough improvement to education means that there would be less corruption and similar. Also, educated people tend to be less poor (poverty), more environmentally conscious (rainforest and climate change), and slightly less inclined to turn to crime or violence (crime, child abuse, terrorism). Education really needs to be expanded, though, starting from elementary school - teaching children basic academics is no longer enough. Moral and social issues need just as much, if not more, instruction in. There should be some sort of test that doesn't led mean, petty, squabbling, money-hungry [cabbage]s pass middle school.
  8. The Bible makes a good moral-guidance thing, but, as has been said, should not be taken TOO seriously. Even if you're not Christian, Jewish, or Muslim, you will probably agree with most of the morals presented in it. Also, in a purely literary sense, there's some interesting writing in there, too.
  9. I see. So no intentions of persuading people to believe a certain way. Nice to have that cleared up. On point two: You may want to read them - most bookstores stock them, and they're pretty interesting too. Granny Weatherwax, the character I'm talking about with the interesting philosophy and views on life, appears in, "Equal Rites" , "Weird Sisters" , "Witches Abroad" , "Lords and Ladies" , "Maskerade" , and "Carpe Jugulum".
  10. I posted this on another forum a while ago, just wanted to put it here. It's sort of a ... random poem, made from flashes of inspiration banded together into a poem. Hope you like it. Song of the Prophet The darkness is total but there's a light, where there once was peace now We must fight, the weapons are ready, the foe's in sight, as night kills the sun so day slays night! The new world is born as the old world dies, the new god draws strength from the old god's cries, at the stub of the shadows when the old year dies, the new year is born from an infant's cries - I am the man of the moon and stars, the armies of God upon the march, i am an infant, who but i peeps from the unknown dolmen arch? Invoke the stars and invoke the trees, invoke the lands and invoke the seas, invoke the hills and invoke the streams, invoke this world and Invoke our dreams! The moon and stars lie in balance, The sky rests on the Earth's pillars, While the world lives on rotating on, a place of life and a place of killers! I am the god of the earth and sky, the armies of man upon the march! I am an ancient, who but I enters the unknown dolmen arch? I am the prophet of gods and men, i am the sun of the Earth and Sky! i come to the world again and again, I never was born, and I Never Shall Die! Note: Any mis-capitalizations are intentional. If you don't like them, sorry, I did it for emphasis. P.S. don't flame about the subject matter. I don't condone, favor, or endorse a specific set of religious views.
  11. I'm in the cow fields on my new, lov-leveled alt, a while ago. Killing cows and selling their hides is the best combat exp + money for low levels. So anyway, this cow walks by and I attack it. A level 12 (note, this alt is level 20some, and with mithril) with iron comes up: " Noob: Hater. Me: ? Me: Me? Noob: Yes you Me: What? Noob: You heard me (pause, while I try to figure out wtf he's talking about.0 Me: Ok, why? Noob: You stole my cow. (I'm part laughing, part shocked at the stupidity, of this guy trying to appear tough right now.) Me: Oh noes its an evil cow thief! Run for your nooby lives everyone!!! zomgrofl!!!1111!!!!111!shiftone!1 Me: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH oh my poor nooby soul, my cow's been taken AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH Noob runs off and logs out.
  12. Dargmage, just a question: what are you trying to accomplish here? Really? Somehow i get the feeling you have some more reason than just "finding out". Also, what are *your* answers to these questions? As for me...I'm sorta in the process of figuring out those answers myself, but if anyone's ever read the Discworld books by Terry Pratchett, I'm pretty much in agreement with Granny Weatherwax on this one.
  13. Logging onto Runescape and then examining an onion produces: Welcome to Runescape. Makes you cry. yes, it does indeed...
  14. How about birthday hats: Every year, on the day you joined RS, a free birthday hat appears in your invent/bank the first time you log in. They go like: Gold (5+ years), Silver (4 years), Blue(3 years), Red(2 years), White (1 year), or something similar. Untradable, and recoverable from Diango if you lose them. Wear your birthday hat (a cone of paper, similar to a phat) to symbolize your age in RS and make people go, "Omg a gold bhat uve been playing 5 yrs lolz!!!"
  15. I've had dreams I remember, which are wierd, but not lucid; however, I can remember them in exact detail, as though i had really done it. They tend to be...really realistic, too, at least up to a point, so it feels like real life. Once or twice I've had dreams I could really control...something starts happening and I go, "Okay, control dream...let's take this enemy here and put this dragon longsword in my hand like this, and..." or, when something is going wrong in my dream, i just go, "Okay, skip this, let's go to the next part" and it skips, which is how I avoid nightmares. (...but "it does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live"...)
  16. As someone else once said: "if you think your class is underpowered, you're not doing it right..." range has the potential to rock. But let's not rant about this... pretty good joke though  =D> Humor is always valuable in a game...
  17. Back to the better community, with generally fewer noobs and nicer players, and Jagex being a bit of a better company. :-w (I played a coupla years ago, then quit...now restarted)
  18. EDIT: P.S.S No it's not. EDIT: P.S.S Yes it is. EDIT: P.S.S.S http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/misinterpreting http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mis-interperting Sorry, just had to Heh, you win. :P (Foiled by the online dictionary once again! And my evil tendency to misplace one simple letter! #-o )
  19. I have a friend who says "Yo mom" to everything. Well, almost. It's pretty damn annoying. I avoid making Yo Momma jokes, they're usually stupid, but this one guy I know tells ones that are actually funny. people who reply to my "Who's that? What's that? What are you doing?" questions with "yo mom" are asking for a free punch, to me. Not because I'm mad they dissed me, but just...it's really unhelpful, immature, and annoying. :shame: EDIT: P.S it's spelled "mis-interperting".
  20. Hybrid pures ftw! \ Rigid classes have a tendency to annoy me. I like warrrior-mages, arcane archers, divine paladins, et cetera.... mix and match.
  21. I may not be the most qualified one to give life lessons, but - Balance is freakin' important. Really. Balance your work and your play - you need to get your work done, but you need to relax also. If something's fun for you, do it, but don't let it dominate your life and time. Play Runescape when you're bored, when there's no obligations and nothing social you could do, when there's some free time, you've been working, and you need to relax. Just remember - balanced work-to-play ratio. If you want to make the "play" part of that be Runescape, fine. Just balance it with work, and in fact, it's better as a "balanced work-play-socialism" ratio. Let work be schoolwork, and also real-life skill training - work out! study! practice things you think you'll need to know how to do later. Try taking up an instrument, it's fun! Band is a cool elective. Balance this out with play - Runescape, sports, whatever. Add socialism to the mix - hang out with friends when you can, if there's actually something worth doing going on. If you don't have a GF, get one - if you do, spend time with her. This is all advice I'd beneifit from following, and currently am working on following, and have found out mostly myself. You could at least try it, I bet there's other people more qualified to advise though. In parting, a quote from a cool guy on another forum (he's the lead art guy for the game, has a great sense of humor, has a life, and is all-around cool): ...whew, why do my posts tend to end up as these big, long, hairy things? I start off replying to someone and I end up writing an essay...
  22. Yes, most people at my middle school today are, indeed, the sort of person who should have been spanked when they were younger. I never was - my mom was always very anti-punishment. She almost never spanked me, and so I started to discipline myself. Commonly used methods: Banging my head against something, hitting myself. My mom got sort of sad and dissapointed whenever she saw me doing this - she was rarely ever angry, and still rarely ever is. She was more a user of positive reinforcement. And yet, I am not a juvenile deliquent, though for some reason I am totally unafraid of most punishment. I won't badmouth teachers too much because I realize how freakin' hard of a job they have, but if they're being plain stupid (Example, our g@y vice principal decided that we couldn't play dodgeball anymore. Out of the blue. After we'd been playing it for 4 weeks. He's just like: "We don't throw the ball at people. That's not what we do." My response: "Yes we do, it's called dodgeball!" I never fear school punishment, that said, I try not to act like an a-hole.) I mostly had to find out, and enforce, my philosophies on discipline myself - in fact, most of what I know about the real world, about discipline, morals, life, et cetera, I was never taught. Really, though, that's the best way, in my opinion. What parents need to do it just everything they can to make sure their kid grows up to be a plus to the world as a whole, not a decrement to it. Set them on the path, yes, but let them walk it - I get more annoyed by overprotective parents than ones who don't do much at all. Seriously, when you're kid's 13, give them independece, for cryin' out loud. Don't shelter them constantly till they turn 18/21, go out into the world, and get hit by the full force all at once. Balance - harsh punishment for wrongs, and lavish rewards for rights, you need both. That's what I'd do, if I were a parent.
  23. Ancient Celtic druidry/religions. A lot of the ideas they express are cool, from what sources I can garner.
  24. I wanna be a rs purepker w/full drag and ancient magicks and 42 mil! Lol im gunna pwn joo nubs omglolerz!!!!1111!!!11!! No, seriously... Ballistics/engineer. Making things fly and blow up. Need I say more? :P Plus probably a writer on the side, lotsa people I know say I'm good at writing. What I like doing also, is hiking/camping/backpacking - but you can't make a job out of that. :(
  25. That twisted, weird, randomized, star-filled vastness called my imagination. Flametrooper was an inspiration from my friend, actually, who got me started on rs ~2 years ago, named Plasmatroopr. Vaknorr - my own imagination, name of a deity from a book i'm writing. Elvenine - Take "Elven", and put "ine" on it - simple. :P
