  1. Well, I feel really awkward... It sounds like stupid advice to tell you to just not feel awkward, but give it a shot and notice the difference. Go to this dance thing with said girl. Smile, and follow her rhythm. Feel the music. I promise you no one is going to care how you dance. The only thing that's going to matter is having a good time, and making sure your "date" is having fun as well.
  2. M-TAR21 has very little recoil. it's essentially a P90 with more range and power, but less ammo.
  3. Everyone can dance. It's only awkward when you feel awkward.

Is it considered canon? I was under the impression "The Promise" was essentially just an elaborate fanfic

Roku looked way older when he died than his representation is. I'm thinking they get immortalized at the age the achieve their goal of restoring balance to the world. Which would make sense for all of them [birth of Republic City, Denying the Fire Lord's quest for dominance, Splitting Kyoshi island from the barbarian earthbender invaders...] I'd like to see season 2 with a lot of spiritual stuff. There was virtually no mention of it in the LoK season 1. And none of the character conflicts capture my interest at all. Mako is a jerk, so the love triangle is lame. Asami is barely a character, so her father issues are bland. The blood bending brothers are essentially dead, and to bring them back would be the stupidest plot twist ever. The whole series so far feels very week. But that's likely because it was so rushed in the small amount of episodes they were given to complete it. That and the first series was a war of nations. This series is a battle over politics of a singular city. Kinda puts a wet blanket on most of the potential awesome.

yes please. I am very disappointed by the finale. Amon's unmasking left me feeling like a Scooby-Doo style reveal, only to find out the culprit was a character that didn't even exist until the moment he was unmasked. And why is Aang's spiritual representation him as a 40 year old? His statue is of a 12 year old. We all knew and loved him as a 12 year old. Why not keep him that way? Could they really have lost the interest of the voice actor that easily? Korra's de-unbending prowess is also pointlessly stupid, though . I hope Boomi plays a bigger role next season. He seems fun.

I work with people that suffer from severe craniorectal sphincter inversion syndrome. And I grow weary of this.

I love that Zuko's lineage was continued with Iroh II. The voice was fitting just to enforce the point that he'll play a similar intertwined fate to the avatar as Zuko did [and Roku's best friend whose name escapes me]. New theory on Amon's identity[my brother's idea since we've been rewatching TLA series lately]: Remember when Zuko first abandoned Iroh in book 2? He came across a village where the earthbender army acted as a bunch of bullies to torment the peasant class. His last silver pieces was spent on food that was then stolen by these army men because a kid [i want to call him Jack?] threw something at the soldiers and they blamed Zuko. Zuko faught them off and the kid brought him to his house to feed his ostrich. At this house Zuko found humility in helping the father complete the roof of the farm while being questioned of his identity. After dismissing the question, they ceased to pursue the answer, but revealed that the child's older brother was off fighting the war. The soldiers came the next day to say the eldest son had been captured and likely killed. Zuko fights them again and reveals that he is the prince of the Fire Nation. The child, who had looked to Zuko as a brother since they met was disheartened and claimed to hate Zuko for being who he was, and returned Zuko's favorite knife inscribed something along the lines of "never give up without a fight". Facts: 1) Amon claimed to have grown up in a small village 2) on a farm 3) hates benders [as they, in this case killed his brother and his spirited youth] 4) kid had violence inscribed in his mind at a young age [was maybe 10 when Aang was 12 making him as Amon ~70]
  9. I think they could at least manage 16v16 if they really tried. I feel like the assignments will mostly be tags for the AK series, if not new unlocks for current vehicles. Can't imagine they'd lock entire vehicles from play. Like...giving a T-90A an AA attatchment, or a Jet a laser painter.

Happy birthday! and sick necklace! today i worked and drank with some people discussing wingmenship techniques. Good times.
  11. I'm not a huge fan of the LVG but when you use it with the grenade specialization in any other scenario outside of gun master it becomes pretty sick [7 LVGs + 2 hand grenades = 9 explosive balls] The Mtar-21 is stupid fast. I've literally died and my gun kept firing to kill people because the gun wasn't done registering all the bullets that it was supposed to spit out. Took me like 2 rounds to get a service star with it. I've noticed that the generations of guns now have a theme to them with this most recent patch. The Close Quater assignment guns all have heavy piercing/collateral damage [likely because they came out to promote fast paced fire fights]. The Karkand assignment guns are all accurate at long range to an extent with little recoil, likely to promote the defensive tactics used in Conquest Assault. The standard guns are a fair mix of both qualities. Can't wait for the next big update with Armored Assault. It's gonna be sweeeeet
  12. I'll have to end up finding people to actually study and do school work with, or I know for sure that I'll fail. So I do think that can work for me. I'll be forced to basically. I'll be doing intramural sports, so I guess that will help with meeting them. I still find partying so very awkward. I just don't know what to do while I'm there. I think it's weird to just go up to a random girl I don't know and say, "hey, I'm bla bla bla..." I don't know if that's normal or not, but that really is my main problem. Honestly, I smile and generally try to enjoy myself when I'm out places, but if I'm put in a situation where I don't know people it I feel out of my comfort zone at all, I think I kind of shut down... :/ I need to work on that. We had our orientation already, but it wasn't that great of a time to meet people. They had us very busy going to a bunch of different lectures about the university and so on that we didn't have too much time to socialize. I really just stayed with a couple of people from my high school. One guy that I talk to often enough that he is a friend, but I've never hung out with him outside of school. Another was a girl that I didn't talk to at all until this year. She is one of the people that said I should party more and even she has mentioned how I won't talk unless she really talks and says hi to me first. But after that initial talking, I'm usually perfectly fine. I am living on campus I think for all of college. My parents want me to and honestly I'd like to get out of the house. I'm in the honors dorm, though, so I don't know how that will affect anything. Maybe the honors students like to party the most? :) I should be able to meet people in the dorm though. Sitting with random people at lunch tables is going to be the hardest thing for me to do. I suppose I'll just need to get over any fears and just pick the most friendly looking people. Striking up conversations with random strangers will be hard for me to do. I think the real thing that makes this worse is that I can never tell if a girl likes me or is just friendly in general or is just being nice and/or flirty with me. Since I'm a nice guy, once I'm talking I'm sure I flirt a little. Make a couple jokes here and there, but I don't know when girls are trying to give me hints and what not. I'm most likely making it all up, but it would be nice to know. So many questions, but I'm not sure how to ask them. So let's just go from here. Thanks for the help so far. Edit: wow, I really am talking a lot for a guy who doesn't like talking to strangers. I guess typing is different... I imagine your not one for drinking much than are you? Not that there's anything wrong with that, I have a friend who's never so much as touched alcohol but he gets along with my party animal friends just fine by being the sincere straight forward good guy. You admitted to having trouble initiating conversations with total strangers. I totally get that, it's something I struggle with, too. Just think of a short, interesting and/or funny story before you go out and have it ready in case of awkward silence, or initial small talk wears thin. Going up to a complete stranger in public is awkward as all hell, but in college, especially on campus people won't think you nearly as weird for it. To be perfectly honest I'd say over half the freshman population is in the exact same shoes as you, minus the individual details that make them other people. "hey how are you, where you from? oh do you know such and such? he's from there too. Last time I saw him was...." It gets easier with practice. Plus after the first few encounters you can mirror the "proper" responses to situations that other people have said to you.

I think Oatmeal is right in all senses. I'm actually only mad at funnyjunk because the fanbase blew up on Oatmeal so much. I'm actually down for that site [i don't like the site, but I like the idea of it]. While yes it steals and profits off of other people's work, they should have the right to give a cease and desist as Oatmeal did and have it taken down. But a site of collective funny material deserves to remain on the internet, so long as it's properly moderated. Which funnyjunk currently obviously isn't.
  14. Well....that's sorta what a wait period is :P Some people give themselves a waiting period ESPECIALLY if it was a long/serious relationship that made a big impact. Funny thing is though, EVERY WOMAN I've met after their first serious relationship, goes out and starts sleeping with a multitude of men to "experience new things", but the guy from the relationship ends up waiting a long time before getting any form of action or back into a relationship. Just a personal observation anyway. Sorry, I meant that the idea of an official or concrete waiting period is stupid. Oh right, yeah it is. I agree with that. I've just observed that some people tend to get upset when someone starts dating immediately after breaking up with someone. It makes them think that you were cheating on them probably. I'm with Tim in this discussion. Waiting periods are dumb as far as calculating factual numbers, but "too soon" will leave some people hurt. Just go with what feels right. You can hang with people that have classes with you by starting off "studying" together or just talking about classmates/professors/work. You can bond with people who also used to play sports, as I assure you there will be many of them, and you'll be able to tell who most of them are when you meet them. And yes, if you're looking to socialize nothing will get the job done more effectively than partying. This doesn't mean go out and get shitfaced and smoke yourself into oblivion, but it means gather some people let loose and have fun. Don't judge anyone you meet, smile, and have a story ready in the back of your mind. You should be alright.
  15. I've owned both, and I prefer PS3 to the point that when my 360 burned out I wasn't even that upset. Little mad that it was a waste of money, but I'd go with the PS3. More exclusive games, free online, battery-free controllers, blur ray player....It's worth the switch.

looks like you had fun! today i went to 2 grad parties after work. one was my friends, but all his family was there so i bailed and went to another one. arrived, said hey, had a beer, hit on some girl and randomly bailed to go back to the first party. Then played hours and hours of beer pong. Turns out my buddy is a monster, and didn't know cause he never played [sank like 9 for 10 shots his first few games]. So I got pretty trashed, Passed out on his couch watching tosh.0 i think. But now I'm home waiting to pass out again so I can work in 5 hours. good times.

I had fruit loop vodka. Which might as well have been Fruit Loops. Didn't even taste the 40% alcohol content. Tasty.
  24. You know if they put the effort they put into that half assed beta into "mechscape" or "stellardawn" or whatever it's going by now, it'd be that much closer to being done. But no, they're wasting their time and ours. Pathetic. I remember when Jagex was a strong company. And then they started listening to their 11 year old fan base...

I'm loving my timetable next year - I'm taking four sciences, math, English, history and French.  YGO will always have a special place in my heart, don't you worry.
