  1. Thats because you like what I call "classic" metal. It's so old it's been pretty much immortalized. No bands dare cross that territory, because lets face it - it wouldn't be the same. Well...or too much the same, which would lead to boring and redundant bands which no one likes. There's still good metal aroun, but we'll never be able to live the classic beginings without the originals. In the mean time, feel free to find new bands covering those old favorites. I prefer: Bullet For My Valentine: Creeping Death [Metallica] Bullet For My Valentine: Domination [Pantera] Avenged Sevenfold: Walk [Pantera] Avenged Sevenfold: Flash of the Blade [iron Maiden] Van Canto: Fear of the Dark [iron Maiden] Apocolyptica: [had a whole album called "Metallica on strings"] Disturbed: Land of Confusion [Genesis] and so on. The old rock/metal spirit lives on. Just not in the old bands. Motorhead's singer has done a lot of side projects, some of which include Dave Grohl. Orgasms ensue. Enjoy living the past vicariously
  2. 1. I beleive they stay with them because the abuse inspires a demoralization in self worth. Eventually the abused will feel like they can't make it in the utsied world, and that in some bizzare way they deserve they're crappy relationship. 2. Birth control and money/power are corrupting out gene pool. This in cludes modern medicine. The human race is de-evolving at an alarming rate. The weak are living, and breeding. 3. Naturally we weren't meant to be monogomous. But society affects us, and society dictates that we have to be. This custom was likely started in a fit of jealousy somewhere down the line. This also supports my theory of our detatchment from our intended nature, or de-evolution. 4. A need for violence? Not so much, I see it as a reflex inpulse to retaliate certain circumstances. It's not a want or desire. It's not even a need. It just is. 5. I agree. Small populations of sparse human life would be iedal for both humans and Earth.
  3. My ex just tried to seduce me. I was about three layers of clothing away from becoming the biggest hypocrit in history. But I held my ground and threw her off me. I don't know what to make of all of this. She says her group therapy is going well though, infact she plans on hooking uo with one of the chicks there [who happens to have a son]. God, reading that back I wouldn't be surprised if half of you called me on bulllcrap and stopped reading. I swear, my life is getting more and more confusing...

[rant] I need to vent. Several topics that I've posted on have been hijacked by trolls. Whats worse is that they seem to be supporting each other, and not providing any useful ideas, points, or counter points to the discussion (hence trolling). When I disagree with someone, I make an honest effort to understand their point of view, believe me, its difficult. Whenever I post to a thread, I always make sure that I read the first post, and understand it. It usually takes me 15-30 minutes to post something, because I spend so much time reading and re-reading what I write, carefully trying to make sure it makes sense. These idiots do nothing like that. I post on tip.it because its specifically NOT the RSOF. I come here because I don't like being trolled by people who seem to have the mental capacity of a four year old. But now, it seems, there are three or four active trolls. I know there's a report abuse button, but no action seems to be taken against the trolls. I also hate spamming the mods. I guess what I have to say is GTFO TROLL [/rant] BTW - Thank you to those that make thoughtful posts, contribute to discussions, and have maturity beyond your years. You're the reason I'll stick it out. Can you beleive these people? Spamming up OUR forums?

    1. We haven't and most definiatly should [state by state, not all of them have caught up yet] 2. Absolutely, as should any other Nazi ruled country. This includes France for being weak, and Poland for sucking 3. No, we should just whup their [wagon] and adopt them into submission. Seems to be working so far.
  6. soo...Americans aren't so stupid? Of course we'll ace the food quiz. It's what we do best - EAT :D

Fox news sucks Republicans are opinionated close minded fools Democrats are liberal idiots that never cease to make mistakes There is no lesser of all evils, they're all idiots. Not that anyone who complains about such things could do a better job.
  8. Bringing the party with you is difficult for beginners, but once you get the hang of it, you'll find your self up to your eyeballs in people to talk to. It requires being loud, known, respected, and pleasant. All the while being the center of fun as Lent put it. Once you get the hang of it, it's hard not to do, but it does take a bit of practice. I learned through example. Watching the people I liked best in the school [not on a connection level, but on a social respect level] I learned all sorts of things subconciously. Postour, Smile, Laughing, Being excited, always having something to say. Even down to such things as being touchy [in the physical sense]. The people I observed I assume are naturals, but every now and then they used to connect to me on a more personal level. i beleive it's because I reminded them of themselves before the improvement. Now I find myself in the oposite role, passing my knowledge to the coming generation. It's a good feeling, I gotta say.
  9. I'd find them to be fishy, and probably wouldn't trust a word they'd say. Yes I'm speaking from personaly experience.
  10. Eating Glass and Secretly Revealing 200,000 troops in Berlin since 2003
  11. I wish I didn't have another update about this. But i just finished fighting with my ex for the past 7 hours. Lord have mercy. Somehow the conversation still ended in "i love you". I'm pathetic aren't I? I hope my current doesn't care Oh crap...
  12. Don't let it deter you too much from her. The excuse sounded pretty legit to me. However if she gives you another excuse next attempt, take that as the hint to back off. This is a speed bump, not a road block.

  14. Yeah, I do that. Too much probably, I try not to. Sometimes. And what do you mean by deathcore stereotype? Also, you should probably change the title or something. deathcore stereotype as in you listen to rediculously hardcore music, grindcore, black metal, death metal, whatever you want to call it. But then on top of that, you rag on all the post-hardcore bands and metalcore lovers for being wusses, and not manly enough for "real" metal. Hey, I like some post-hardcore! But metalcore. Also, if you like Post-Hardcore, check out Nervous Light of Sunday. They are close enough to Post-Hardcore. When I searched it, the first thing taht came up was a song by Circle Takes The Square, which was to say the least very unmelodic XD But, Nervous Light of Sunday wasn't bad. So thank you again :)

  16. haha, no wonder you hate my taste in music. You're the deathcore stereotype, claiming anything what I would listen to as "wannabe metal" or "mallcore". I see how it is :P Personally I can't take your brand of metal [death metal]. It's actually too hardcore in most cases.
  17. You and i just don't agree at all musically do we? And what may I ask do you listen to?
  18. THATS IT! Thank you so much! God that would have killed me if I couldn't remember that. This redeems you for your dislike of A7x Uhhhh, actually in return I will need you to burn that shirt. How I did it if you care, I went to last fm, looked up attack attack and just looked at the first few pages of similar artists. I'll keep that method in mind next time. Sounds handy. Maybe its time I signed up for Last.Fm But the shirt remains :D

Today I fought with my ex, got closer to my current, and started a topic on MM&T to keep me from wracking my brain over not being able to remember a band name. Whoo.
  21. Okay so I was [bleep]ing around on Youtube and was looking through On The Last Day's discography. Somewhere in that time I also looked up Attack Attack, and came accross a very generic band. This band sounded ALOT like Attack Attack, including the use of auto-tuner and abusive use of layering topped with over-the-top screaming. At first I didn't like it, but I've been craving for a second listen for the past day and a half and I can't for the life of me remember what the band was called. I remember the word "Romance" was in their name. They tend to use screamo verses, and auto-tuned choruses. Help me find this band again? I tried checking my history, but it wouldn't show up, and searching "screamo romance" only gives me bizzare Lady Gaga covers. I'd be eternally grateful to anyone who helps me find them again. Thank you :)
  22. Hopefully this will be my only update on the manner. A few hours ago my ex was released from the hospital and was deemed clinically depressed. Fair enough. I don't think it really needed 8 hours to figure that out. Anyway, she called me from her boyfriend's phone...whom I stil haven't officially met...to say that she was out. Then I tell her that we have catching up to do, but then she rambles off that I'm a bad friend for not keeping her in the loop of my life. As I try to get her to hang out with me so we can catch up as friends and hopefully put this crap behind us, she hangs up on me. Real cool >.> On the other hand, things seem to be going well with my new girlfriend. There's not a whole lot of sexual tension, but I feel pretty connected to her, so we're doing pretty well.
  23. Skindred Beck Avenged Sevenfold [in a sense, not a major difference in sound though, still same genre]
  24. typical drama queen or not, she has a family history of clinic depression. I know for a fact that everything she tells me is true. I a bit freaked out about all of it. I almost feel like I sparked her insanity, cause she seemed close to normal until I started dating someone else. And I feel extra stupid because for over 2 years I battled with her over these problems, and never once did I ask anyone on the outside for help. I tried taking the problem on myself and I failed miserably. Her new boyfriend was smarter than that and that's how she ended up at the hospital to get ACTUAL help. This whole situation is all very confusing and upsetting. I know logically it isn't my fault that she's like this, but I feel like I had the chance to do something about it and blew it...
  25. :| I went to bed late last night, like 3am looking at my posts. And I got woken up today by my ex calling me at about 10am. She calls to say that she's in the hospital getting evaluated. I've been woken up by her to some scary stuff but...I think this one takes the cake. I'm proud of her for finially getting the help she needs, but...wow. I guess I'm still in a bit of shock.
