  1. There are plenty of more important tactics to focus on than turmoil flicking that aren't dependent on lag. If your only issue is not turmoil flicking, it will be hardly noticeable.
  2. better reflexes & or mousekeys you computer and internet connection's ability to load quickly also plays a major factor. I've found that it isn't so much the internet connection as the speed of the world itself. German worlds are generally good.
  3. I agree with Racheya. Their apathy regarding bots and downright boring updates are really hurting the game. Without firmly making a decision to quit, I've only logged on to do a couple dungeons in the past 3 weeks.
  4. Membership loyalty says they are more focused on keeping members than getting new members. How many people nowadays start runescape?
  5. The catch 22 is that you have to post on the fansite to argue this topic, and spending time on a runescape fansite without paying for the game leaves you in the dark for most of the discussion.
  6. Dishonesty ruins this world. There's no difference between stealing someone's possessions IRL and in runescape, and people here seem to condone it and even admit to it. Pretty sad. You're the [bleep]ing epitome of the idiot generation. There's nothing wrong with being mad over something you care about. In fact, I'd argue that apathy is far worse. That meme is old, annoying, and taken way out of context.
  7. I'm sure working on the biggest free-to-play MMORPG in human history would sound impressive on your CV. :P The pay isn't too astounding. A job as a game programmer pays 25-38k pounds... that's $39-60k. I'm not sure why such a competitive position pays such a mediocre salary.
  8. Kind of a dead-end programming job. There can't be too many years left for scape, and all of jagex's other games fail to impress. Also, graphics suck, and that is most of what game design is. I'd rather do what I currently do (ad delivery) than fiddle with graphics ANY day.
  9. wat "A Final Name" donated a Hex to SUOMI. "A Final Name" had a picture of the donation to SUOMI, but "A Final Name" lost the picture when his computer crashed. Grimy is confused because that's not quite the truth, hence the 'wat'. That's what A Final Name told me but the picture wasn't that important anyways =P I still have that Hex. Was fun training dungeoreening with you too Grimy Bunyip, you were in that floor too when I got the hex donation if I remember right. Me 3 Cool interview, read it all.
  10. Wrong. I googled "Rate in statistics" 1) Unemployment rate is 9.2% 2) Infant Mortality rate is 6.75 in 1000. Percentages and chances out of 1000 that something will occur. Take the infant mortality rate. It's not saying that 6.75 infants WILL DIE in every 1000. It is saying that, over billions of sample cases, we have arrived at a base statistic for the chances of the particular event occurring. They're interchangeable... and we all knew what they meant without having to clarify in the first place. To people saying "average rate," you're just repeating yourselves. "Rate" implies "average."
  11. The end of the final episode: "Michael's a zombie! Michael's a zombie" followed by "Give me my shirt!!" And the curtain closes.
  12. It's video games, not Runescape. You have to immerse yourself somewhere else. If you don't play scape, you'll just play something else.
  13. But if you use the martingale system and double your bets every time you lose, it beats the system. You'll be infinitely wealthy!
  14. It would also be more efficient to hack people's credit cards from PSN and just make money that way instead of getting a job. Legality of a method > its efficiency <_<
  15. The bots inject their client into the games actual java coding. So if you do tests to look for that injection it will flag them and not let them in. Also tests while they play would be good since you do raise an interesting point. I dont know how it would effect the lags on the servers, since it would only test a fraction of the people online at any one time, not all at once. I was under the impression they used packet sniffing, which isn't recognizable by the sender (Jagex).
  16. WTF, my alt is named Nash. So people make skillers and other stuff to game the system.
  17. You could dupe p hats if you knew the crash was coming, and you traded a p hat to someone in the last 15 minutes, then they hopped and logged in to another world before the rollback.
  18. Assuming no time for moneymaking(which is reasonable), yes. Only applies to slayer, rc and agility(no horn), though. Mining might be very boarderline, and you wouldn't get any melee and summoning xp by then. Mining isn't even close if you mine/superheat
  19. 200k xp on trees daily (2 magic runs, 1 palm run, 1 calquat run), 14k xp on herbs (including HH) every 90 minutes for 18 hours = 368k farm xp per day, or 508 days to 200m xp from 99 farm. Each magic+palm+calquat run takes 7 minutes, a magic-only run takes 4 minutes, and a herb run takes 6 minutes. This sums to 85 minutes per day farming. Even if you already have 100m xp in all skills but farming, 200m farm is achievable (from 99) before maxing everything out. In the 508 days it takes to get 187m farming xp, to get from 100m to 200m xp in all other skills, you must average 196k xp in every skill daily: 270 mins (4.5 hrs) slaying (196k slay xp, assume at least equivalent combat xp from slay+crawlers) - See effigy analysis below 110 mins (1.8 hrs) hours of runecrafting via cave crawlers - See below [hide=Effigy analysis] Assume 1.5 effigies per day from slayer and 1.8 from cave crawlers (sum 3.3 effigies). Each grants 12.5k agility, thieving, firemaking, fishing, woodcutting, hunter, mining, and runecraft xp. An additional 48k is granted to runecraft by use of the dragonkin lamp. Xp sums from effigies: 37.1k agility, thieving, fm, fish, wc, hunt, mine, 195.6k runecraft xp [/hide] 85 mins farming (368k farm) 100 mins c2 duo fishing (160k xp + 37.1k from effigies = 197.1k fish) 100 mins splitting pines + effigies (197.1k wc, 28k fm) 120 mins agility with ba horn (includes ba time) + effigies = 197.1k agil 120 mins of mine/superheating (160k mine, 140k smith, 132k magic) + 37k.1 mine from effigies 10 mins smithing addy plates (55k + 140k from above = 195k) 20 mins stringing jewelry (60k + 132k = 192k, assume ~4k from assorted teles/slayer spells) 35 mins thieving ape guards (160k xp + effigies) 20 mins burning magic logs + pine splitting (28k) + effigies = 195k 40 mins of herblore habitat draconics (160k + effigies) = 197k 20 mins of mahogany tables (200k con) 20 mins of wines (200k cook) 18 mins cutting dstones (195k craft) 25 mins dungeoneering (200k dg, obviously not quantifiable daily as such) 20 mins fletching broad arrows (200k xp if perfect) 22 mins making overloads/overload ingreds (195k) 13 mins using frost bones with gilded altar (195k) 8 mins per day of summoning (195k, rough) Sum: 1176 minutes, or 19.6 hours per day for 100m xp in all stats and 187m farming xp
  20. I've always found it faster to put all of my pouches on the 6th row down, so I can right-left click 3 times. Maybe it's just muscle memory.
  21. Stat-affecting loyalty rewards place too much emphasis on time, rather than work, put into the game. Think of how ridiculous it would be to have bunny ears give optimal strength bonus, or completionist capes only available to those with classic veteran access. I would NOT like to see any stat-affecting loyalty rewards, but I'm sure that will happen anyways.
  22. Also, put your equipment/summoning pouches/other supplies on the bottom row of your inventory, because the drop menu distance changes on the bottom row. That way, you can use the top 6 rows for items to be dropped.
  23. yes, you can bind it and charge it afterwards at 70 rc.
  24. I'd go with karils top+skirt and pray melee, flashing soul split when possible. If you don't have claws, you can take Enhanced Excalibur for even more healing, and if you do have claws, sell them and buy a fury
  25. said before me. gravedigging etc is bad.
