Well, my personal theory is that eventually, there will come a quest that is sort of 'God Wars, pt 2'. All of the quest dealing with the old gods, Enakhra's Lament, Temple of Ikov, etc., end with the god in question saying something about continuing the fight in the north, i.e., the Wilderness, which came about as the result of the original God Wars. So, if Zaros appears, he may be connected to that.

I don't really think Guthix is two separate entities. In a Postbag letter to the KBD(can't find it right now) he mentions that 'lest he forget, for every Balance there is an Unbalance' or something like that. That implies to me that their is a not-so-benevolent version of Guthix out there that would like nothing better than a total return to formless chaos, i.e, destruction of Geilinor. Guthix has apparently forgotten this during his sleep or neglected to mention it to us.

It's a toss-up between Hunter and Thieving, with a side of Combat for variety.(except for Ranged. I hate Ranged, although my lovely Chinchompas may change that.)
