Yes, I can smell it from way over here. It is an interesting idea, though. Maybe as a sort of visual aid to Reb's outline?
  2. 55 Slayer is required for the staff. 55 magic is also necessary to cast Slayer Dart.

Probably that she likes Ash. It's the only thing I'm sure she wouldn't tell Ash straight foward. Nah, I'd put $100 bucks against that (especially since that hypothesis seems to contradict itself in the second sentence :P ). She's still confused about the gender situation, and with her chactersitics (low self esteem, etc.), I doubt she'd confront Ash that early about it, especially when it could mess with the situation a great deal. Most likely she was going to say "I've been thinking a lot and... I'm not sure I want to go back to my old life." With the whole "near death incident", and the fact that she's having doubts about being just living her life studying (a lot of which has been very recent), and with the way she phrased the beginning of the sentence I find the odds that she was going to say that she doesn't want to go back to her old life 70% or more. Read back through the previous comic pages, she's been having a lot of second thoughts about her old life, and I'm sure she wouldn't want to forget Ash (as a friend or otherwise). Not sure if that's what NOM was thinking as well, but that's my hypothesis. Pretty much what I was saying. Which sort if brings up the question, would they retain their memories of everything that happened? Seeing as they retained their memories after the misfile, perhaps they would when they got changed back? And Emily seems to have it much etter off now after the misfile, but I'm sure Ash still wants to be changed back. It's a conundrum. Ingenious :P . It's simple. Rumisiel just puts Ash back in the 'boy' cabinet, and doesn't mess with it any further. Emily's file just gets left without the missing pages. At least, I think that would work. :-k

Gee, I'm glad I wasn't the only one. I just sat there for hours reading them all. Trapical is officially the most awesomest person ever just for this.
  5. Mined Rune ess before the split. I made about 30k off that and bought full addy. I thought I was so rich. My mining has been higher than my smithing ever since.
  6. Nice article. Kind of funny. Reminds me of when I first learned about bank notes, back before the rune essence split, I mined rune ess for money. One of the first buyers was nice enough to tell me about noting. Lucky for me I didn't have to go through all that.
  7. mithril has been in many, many, many other things than LoTR Tolkien had it first. Same with Orcs.
  8. I liked Eragon. It's pretty easy to tell where the author got his ideas, but still a good read. Anne McCaffrey's Pern series is good sci-fi/fantasy and Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time is probably my favorite series ever.
  9. Part 2 of chapter one is up.
  10. Intro There is a place dragons go to die. It is a remote island, hundreds of miles away from the nearest inhabited coast. This is perfect, for it would not do for ordinary mortals to have access to a place of such great power. One people, extraordinarily blesssed among men, makes their home upon the island. They are known as the Dragonfolk to other men. The dragons merely call them friends. When a dragon dies, it forsakes its mortal shell and partakes of the blessed freedom beyond the stars. In the middle of its corpse, it leaves an egg. The Dragonfolk are charged with the task of rescuing this egg and caring for it until it hatches. This has been their sacred duty for countless centuries. In return, they are allowed to use the rest of the dragons remains for their needs. They have ships and houses of dragonbone, armour of dragonscale, and their weapons come from the dragon's teeth. When a dragon dies, its magic is released into the world. Much of that magic is immediately caught by the infant dragon, to sustain its life until it hatches, but some is not, and continues to flow outward until it meets a receptive object or person. Many of the Dragonfolk posses the ability to absorb the magic and make it their own. Thus, the Dragonfolk have many powerful mages among them, and enough slightly receptive people to make magic common in everyday tasks on the island. __________________________ Chapter 1 part 1 It was a cold and blustry day. The red dragon looked down as he overflew a snow-covered meadow. There was a... rippling in the middle of the clearing, like the fabric of reality was folding over itself. The red paused, intriguided. As it watched, the air split as though along a seam. It circled down to land. When the red got to the ground, it looked through the rip. What it saw was most certainly of its world. The red saw an alien landscape, twisted, dark, and tortured, far different from its own green meadow. Suddenly, a bolt of strange green magic shot out of the portal, hitting the dragon directly in its eye. The red, being of a race that was gifted with knowledge of such things, knew immediately it was a mortal wound. It lifted off, with some difficulty, as more magic was streaming out of the rip, and headed for the island where it would expire. _________________________ part 2 The meeting room of the Island Council in the center of the village. It was the largest building there, with a roof 15 feet above the Councilmembers seated heads. This day, the Council had been called to discuss the news the dying red dragon had brought. "We must investigate this," said Maya, Queen of the Dragonfolk. "We have no way of knowing if what the dragon said is true," retorted Wolfgang, Elder of the Council."And even if it is, why should we meddle in the affairs of the mainlanders? If the aliens are hostile as you believe they are, it is their affair, not ours. We have confined ourselves to merely trading with them and not meddling in their politics for good reason. Our sole priority is the care of dragons." "If we do not do something, there may be no dragons left to take care of. As you know, my responsibilities include bringing the new egg out of the old dragon's body. With the red, I found no egg." Maya's statement shocked the Council into silence. Such a thing had not occured for all of the Dragonfolk's history. What vile magic could have caused such a thing? "We must fight against this enemy," Maya continued. "Dragons are the lifeblood of our world. We must save them, or face destruction ourselves." Wolfgang found his voice. "What can we do against a magic that kills dragons in a single spell? Even for a people as strong as we, some enemies are too powerful." "What can we do? What can we do?" Maya echoed. "We can fight. We can resist the invaders! We can die valiantly in defense of our lands, or live in bondage and fear to the aliens." Her speech struck a nerve with the Council. There were mutters of agreement from the Councilors. "My friends, let us put it to a vote. All in favor of fighting the alien invaders?" All the hands went up. "All opposed?" No one moved. "It's settled, then. Council adjourned. Tomorrow we will find someone to lead our armies." _________________________ My first story. What do you think? More to come later, hopefully. Please point out any errors in grammar, spelling, etc.
  11. Questing/leveling up. 226 qp! Minigames occasionally, too.
  12. Very well written. I don't merchant that much, but Runescape has taught me more about economics and supply and demand.
  13. I'm okay with every type, but why is it still called a Monday poll when it's Wednesday?
  14. Each skill is good for what it was designed for. There's this little thing Jagex and I like to call the 'Combat Triangle.' It works like this: Magers have an advantage over Melee'rs. Melee'rs have an advantage over Rangers. Rangers have an advantage over Magers. Magers are less effective on Rangers. Rangers are less effective on Melee'rs. Melee'rs are less effective on Magers. This doesn't mean a Mager will win every time against a Melee'r, but in general, you will have a better chance to win.
  15. Frakir Staer. Slayer/CW. Add me. I have about 5 people on my friends list.
  16. About the 'Evil Plan'; I've been playing BA a lot over the past couple of weeks trying to get a torso, and the most I've ever seen on hits healed was 512. This number cropped up several times, so my theory is there is a cap, and 512 is it.
  17. A few good games of Castle Wars are good for beating boredom. Or I look here for a guide on something that looks interesting, then skill til I can do it, or just do it.
  18. I'm ok with the different boats, but xp is decreased by 35% and a further 10% for range and mage. I do not like training range, so I was planning to use PC for that. Now its even harder. Oh well, I'll get through it somehow. :(
  19. Hmm... my luck is rotten usually, but I got a Verac's brassard for my first ever Barrows drop on about my 7th run.
  20. robots dont have a conscience mind of their own, so they cannot decide that their creators are evil and they must be destroyed. The only way that could happen is if they were being controlled by another human who wanted all humans to be dead. but of course you all probably already got that so i said it for nothing but whatever ever watched I, Robot? The book was ever so much better than the movie. Really, the only similarities I remember are the positronic brain and Susan Calvin(and the movie Susan was way different than the book one). OT: I saw that article and thought it was really cool how the bees can pick the best hive location like that.
  21. Lol, Tip.it should have waited on updating the Metal Dragon killing guide. Now they're going to have to do it again.
  22. I got 4 genies and a Rick Turpentine in an hour and a half period of hunting today.
  23. Banned for having a higher mining level than me.
  24. Bankspace is what I would love. It's getting a little cramped in there with all my stuff. But if we can't have that, skill updates would be nice. 9th post woohoo
