Not anymore. With all the range updates, and crystal bow basically still the same as they day it got released, don't use a crystal bow. Just use mith/addy bolts with a rune crossbow.

Duradel assigns these, but they're weak anyways Fury+slayer helm > nosepeg+salve(e) Plus the new dungeon allows you to cannon them. Indeed, it is very helpful for the new banshees. Btw, they are undead so you can in fact use a salve(e). And all attack bonusses help. Neither does the black mask. #-o But the slayer helm when not used on a task, still has the def bonusses. So you use less food. Agreed

Experiments, you wont hit much on monkey guards. Remember to always use super attack and strenght pots, they speed up training by loads. Also I'd train it with slayer but that's just me.

If you're being the cheapskate, don't train summoning #-o It is an expensive skill. If it is your lowest skill you might also want to get a few free levels at tears of guthix :| Oh and i can easily get 15 times as much gold charms than blues. Crimsons are the most effective so use those then. :P

Actually firemaking with the pyrelord costs more But if you still want to train it, just go train slayer and use all the charms you get.Use gold first, then green, then crimson and blue as last. Don't train summoning with blues only, they're very rare.
