  1. Some people are just jerks. No point physco-analysing him on such little evidence and there would be no benefit to it anyway. Just move on.
  2. Well done to the moderator who deleted my post. You clearly missed the point and hit the delete key without even reading it through or thinking about it. Have you considered a job working for Jagex? I'm done with this...what's the point.
  3. Yes, another ignorant fool bashing Americans on Christmas day. You know, because we all don't care about international markets and stuff. Please stop this senseless bashing of Americans. From the looks of it, only a few of the posters on this thread are even Americans. Consider your post reported  I suggest you actually read my post and then make a comment. If you still don't understand what I said, i'll explain it for you. I did read it, and I actually agree. While I don't support the gold farmers in game, its nothing to be put in prison for. But, the part that I am looking at is "Prices in the United States are not the same as the rest of the world, half the posters here don't seem to realise this though. You wonder why the rest of the world thinks you're a bunch of ignorant morons?" Yeah, and you wonder why I retaliate? Retaliate at what? All I stated was the image of Americans abroad. I didn't say I agree with that image. What I was saying is that posting stupid stuff like, for example, 90% of this thread, perpetuates a negative image of the US. Frankly you've reinforced the "overly patriotic and ridiculously think skinned" American image by reporting my post and not reporting the person that wants to kill gold farmers and see them put in prison. :?

  5. No it's not. It might say that, but it's not. If you had any knowledge of programming you would probably agree with me. If you had been playing the game longer than 5 minutes you would have known that for more than 4 years there was no limit at all. The limit was put on by Jagex to stop people/bots hopping and buying out the shops stock. They admitted this on the front page at the time of the update.
  6. Congrats. :) I'm going to give you the first 10/10 I've ever given because you got a fantastic deal. =D>
  7. I think it'd be worse than George W. Bush's if he imposed sharia law in the US. But seriously, I don't think there are any official stats for that.
  8. Seriously, family guy isn't even well written. A jihad on family guy! Anyway, there are definitely less people online than there normally would be at this time. There are still only 45k people online despite it being noon in Central Europe. Normally I would expect to see at least 65k people. I honestly don't think this is temporary. I think for the first time ever Jagex are going to see their player base shrink.
  9. Wouldn't "selling burnt cod 1 mill" be a huge tip-off for RWT? If Jagex had semi-decent software (assuming they do), they could put watches on accounts that buy items for ridiculous prices. (10k or 10% more than normal) Id have thought so too. But if they can't detect autoers who do nothing but one task then sell tens of millions worth of resources for GP, then transfer that GP by losing duels, then I guess their software isn't up to much. :| Like I say I don't necessarily agree with their logic. I just think that it is their logic for the price controls. Off topic: I've made 6m in the last two hours "merchanting" from the GE. Who says its dead? :P
  10. So why exactly did the price of almost every item increase by the exact same amount (1gp) at the exact same time this morning? When some of these items were already overpriced and have not sold at the minimum price since the release of the exchange? Jagex mods say a lot of things. Sorry! :( I was just trying to share what I knew on the topic! If what you say is correct however, it's proof on how Jagex now has complete control on the economy. Sorry, I didn't mean to sound harsh. :P In general what the Jmod said is correct, prices appear to be moving in response to the demands on the market. But the 1gp price jump today shows that Jagex are still willing to excercise control over the economy.
  11. So why exactly did the price of almost every item increase by the exact same amount (1gp) at the exact same time this morning? When some of these items were already overpriced and have not sold at the minimum price since the release of the exchange? Jagex mods say a lot of things.
  12. From that my guess is that you will be given a small range of cheesy looking buyable graves to appear at the place of your demise. The fact that they referred to a gravestone called the Angel of Death seems to me like the whole thing is buyable. Time will tell though.
  13. Yes that is true but you are not told in game that the price has changed, therefore you are not aware unless you go to the exchange yourself that your offer is now out of range and untradeable. If people were not aware of the 1gp bump in price, or simply did not notice, they might have had items listed for a long time outside the range and wasted a lot of selling time, in which time the value of the items would probably depreciated even more. This thread was not made to complain, simply to inform people that they needed to re-list their prices at the new prices. Highlanders, an auction system like that would certainly be more useful to us ordinary players. However I believe Jagex are concerned that a system like that could be used to disguise RWT. For example, if a RWT trader puts up burnt cod for 1 million, it isn't very likely that another player is selling burnt cod and their "partner in crime" would be able to buy it. I'm not saying that it is reasonable of Jagex to put limitations on the system for that purpose. I just think that is their "logic".
  14. Jagex have said before that they can not extend skills past level 99. They wouldn't have released skill capes if they planned to extend it. Maxxing out combat used to be a huge acheivement and take years. Then lots of 12 year olds complained and leveling combat became ridiculously easy and not an acheivement anymore. Do you know what would happen if they were able to increase the level cap? That's right, lots of 12 year olds would complain, Jagex would make training 10x faster again and thousands of people would be the new maximum level. Making the whole excercise pointless. Hurrah.
  15. Congrats, 10/10 :) I'm working on it myself. Just about to get 89, getting there one step at a time :P
  16. 85 mining is a fantastic achievement. Congrats and enjoy! :)
  17. I think chumley9 has hit the nail right on the head. That's the only realistic reason for this happening.
  18. Because they've shown in the last month that they are tired of the money orientation in the game. And that will never end until these items are fixed once and for all. If they do it, though, it won't be with silly conspiracy games on the GE. They will just exchange them for gold or make them untradeable or make a shop where they can be traded in. One way or the other, they are eventually going to have to stop avoiding this problem and deal with it. No they haven't. They've shown they are sick of real world traders and want to put a stop to it. They have done nothing at all to harm rares in any way. Discontinued items cause no problems, they just add to the enjoyment of the game for some. I have had rares for over 6 years now and not a month has gone by without some prophet of doom like yourself predicting they will become untradeable or jagex will replace them all with gold. Well, they haven't and almost certainly never will.
  19. The BNP is a loonatic fringe party which is only taken seriously by 0.01% of the population. Out of 669 seats in our parliament they have 0 and did not even get close to winning one. They have been around in one form or another for at least 30 years and have never even got close to winning a single seat because British people despise racism more than any other culture I've ever experienced. The idea that letting their leader speak at the oxford union is going to lead to genocide is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. The UK is a well integrated intelligent society not a segregated third world country. There has never been genocide in this country and never will be. 99.99% of people here despise racism. Letting a few loonys speak is not going to change that. Britain has a long history of freedom of speech and an equally long history of opposing fascism and racism. Continuing our tradition of freedom of speech will not change that. The speechs made by Griffin are only borderline racist (though I am sure he is a racist at heart) they are NOTHING compared to the public speeches and rallies by the black shirts in the 1930s. If Britain didn't turn to fascism and genocide then, or at any time during our history, what can one lunatic do with no support? -.- Edit: Oh, and if you think that banning people like this will stop them from spreading their word you are wrong. They will simply go underground and use the internet. If he had been banned from speaking in public, I guarantee you more people would have heard that speech.
  20. No problem. It seems to be happening with most items. I've spoken to a lot of people about it so far and the only items it appears to have not affected are low value stackable items like iron arrows.
  21. For some reason, the set price for a lot of items on the exchange has just gone up by 1gp. In fact all 6 items I was selling have gone up by 1gp. This means if you were buying or selling an item at the minimum price, that your offer is now outside the price range for the item and the transaction is impossible. For example: I was selling super restore pots for the minimum price of 6069. Because the price has gone up by 1gp, this meant the new minimum was 6070 and therefore it was not possible for anyone to buy my pots. Just thought I'd warn everyone that they might need to re-list their items.
  22. Why do so many people think Jagex hates discontinued items? Have they made them untradeable? No Have they ever put a price cap on them? No Have they ever discouraged people from buying them? No Have they ever released more of them? No Have they made future holiday items similar, as to make them redundant? No SO WHY WOULD THEY SUDDENLY DECIDE THEY HATE RARES AND WANT TO GET RID OF THEM NOW?!
  23. I've sold 92m worth of items on the exchange. These were mostly cooked sharks (35k), 20k potions, 400 rune sets and various other things. I estimate I've lost about 40-50m of networth as these sold for dramatically less than they would have done pre-exchange But I'm still glad they released the exchange. It's a fantastic update. It's the only update I've wanted and I've wanted it since I started playing in March 2001. Dealing with merchanters and suppliers was the only annoying thing for me on this game. Sure, there are skills I don't like but I didn't have to do them. However I did have to deal with merchanters, it's almost impossible not to. Now I don't have to ever again! :D
