Yes herbs are definitely the best option for MTK now due to the incredible price rise following the introduction of extreme pots. I believe raw fish is the best option for the other 5 workers, but that's a close run thing with some of the other resources like coal.

Yes but the trident will be much easier and much cheaper to obtain. Really? It requires 390 points in each role, you'd have to be pretty inefficient at making money for that to be easier than getting 5m for a mage's book.

The Trident also has a special attack: Penance trident Reap A chance of instantly killing an enemy with a Combat Level less than 50 (not including players, bosses, summoning familiars, or creatures that must be killed in a specific way). In PvP, 'Reap' has the same chance of removing a third of the opponent's current hitpoints. Speaking from a strictly PvM perspective, I don't think the 1 in 60 chance of saving runes is really worth it though. The magic attack bonus isn't bad but being two handed you lose the +15 mage attack you get from the mage's book, or the +20 from a spirit shield.

I'm part of the 44% of people who don't like any of those features.

Yup, same here. I didn't think there could be an update worse than Dec 10th 2007 but they proved me wrong there.

I don't know what all the fuss is about, I killed him without touching any of the 30 brews my yak was holding. Yes, overloads and soul split helps but it doesn't make that much difference. Jagex really can't win with you people. For years they have released almost nothing but low to mid level content and everyone complained. However in the last few months we have had genuine high level content (e.g. Ardy Elite Diary, Extreme Pots, and now this quest) and everyone complains that it's too difficult.

Obviously it's a bug. Getting 12.8m Slayer xp in a month is almost impossible on it's own, but alongside all that xp in other skills, it is impossible. What happened to this site?

Er, no, they didn't get snowed in. Their office is in the south of England after all. It almost never snows here and when it does it's about an inch or two. The only snow we've had was on Thursday which didn't stop anyone round here driving to work. That'll probably be the last of the snow until next year now. I've lived here all my life and I've never even been close to being snowed in.... Florida is on the same latitude as the Sahara desert/North Africa so I'm surprised the temperature gets that low.

I have at least 150 free spaces. I have not come close to having a full bank for years. I don't know how anyone can fill up their bank with that much junk :unsure:

I really don't know what was going through their heads when they decided not to allow us to use the reward on summoning. Unbelievable.

I was excited about this update until I saw the list of creatures she assigns. Living rock creatures, Tzhaar, Terror Dogs, Blue Dragons and Warped Tortoises? No thanks, I'll stick with Lapalok. She doesn't even assign my favourite task (Dagganoth). The cave is fairly useless as others have mentioned. There are plenty of other places to slay these creatures that aren't crowded. The only good thing is the ring but that terrible list of assignments isn't worth it for that. I won't use her. P.S. Why on earth did they put Dark Beasts in the new dungeon? They are never, ever crowded. Nechs would have been a much more logical choice.

I haven't even bothered to login to them because the 1000 total level requirement for P2P is so ridiculously low. If it was raised much, much higher (i.e. to at least 2000) then I would use them.

Fantastic news! The Ardy Elite diary was one of the best updates I have seen in the 8 1/2 years I've been playing and one of the few examples of genuine high level content. I can't wait for the next ones, well done Jagex! =D>

Sigh. I have played RS for over 8 1/2 years now and this is one of only a handful of updates in the past 5 1/2 which I have actually enjoyed. For once we had true high level content and a reward for training our skills and now most of that benefit has gone, even from minigames - how ridiculous. Once again, herblore is just a pointless skill like smithing or crafting where you spend a fortune for no benefit.

Exactly. 99 with maples would cost you less than 4.5m and would save you somewhere in the region of 40-50 hours versus using willows. Willows wouldn't be a good choice even if they were free.

That satire wasn't even subtle, it was blatantly not a genuine article - just look at the food paragraph. I'd be shocked if even a few people fell for this, having read some of the replies on this thread, I truly pity those who did. I think I can guess what country they are from though, no surprises there..

The animation for the godsword isn't great. :| At least they haven't changed the specials too much though (of the AGS and SGS anyway) The whip looks much better though.

I got 3m summoning xp in a few hours but other than that, I probably haven't got more than 1m xp in a day before.

Move around the room in a circular motion, as soon as you strike the killing blow move on to the next one, don't pick up drops, just check to see if they've dropped a defender while you're killing the next one. Use the best prayers you can (wear prayer boosting armour) and super pot regularly. The ROW does not increase your chances of getting one as their value is 0gp. It took me about 20-30 mins to go from no defenders to a rune one.
