  1. you try selling 3 dose sup strs. I've sold over 20k 3 dose potions, including 6k super strength. Herblore is much more expensive because of the exchange. You now lose over 10gp for every xp gained on most potions. The convenience of getting materials doesn't make up for the fact that "make x" has made it so much slower. Herblore is now a slower, more expensive skill than before.
  2. What game are you talking about? Because I play this game called RuneScape where people have always staked high, including multiple rares, since RSC. I don't know if you've heard about it..
  3. Yeah I have been wondering that too. A lot of the potions I am selling haven't gone down in price for 2-3 days, despite me having thousands of each on the exchange since monday and not selling a single one. :?
  4. Autoers and gold farmers are a good thing. They benefit the community by doing the jobs that no-one else wants to do, but that we all need doing so we can level our secondary skills. The only people that care about them are newbies who are stupid enough to think doing something like making bowstrings is a good way of making money. Jagex should stop wasting their time and concentrate on improving their appauling customer service.
  5. God damnit. Has this forum changed to 'General conspiracy theories' or something? No-one uses the exchange to sell rares. Even if they did, Jagex would not do this. For the 500th time, over the last 6 six years: JAGEX DO NOT HATE RARES. IF THEY DID THEY WOULD HAVE TAKEN THEM OUT OF THE GAME OR MADE THEM UNTRADEABLE.
  6. It's such a shame that this once intelligent community has gradually turned into a bunch of immature 12 year olds who think that they are tough by flaming people on an internet forum. I have to agree. Jagex have lost the plot, they seem entirely focused on new players and don't seem to care whatsoever about their existing customer base.
  7. I've sold about 70m of items using this but you have to set them at the minimum price. There are way more sellers than buyers right now. If you don't set it at the minimum price, thousands of others will and your items will sit there for a very long time indeed.
  8. And that drop is to be expected since how many hundreds if not thousands of people are doing the same thing with their pots that never would have sold them before. I'm not discussing the reason for the price drop, as I said I really don't care about it. But for the record it has a lot to do with the middle men (merchanters) being taken out of the equation also.
  9. Well, after nothing selling on the GE yesterday it's all changed today because of the 5% drop in price. In the last 4 hours I've sold: 15,000 / 15,000 shark 1,900 / 4,400 Super Strength Potions 300 / 1,400 Super Restore Potions At the rate they are selling I expect them all to be sold by the morning. Once the prices of the GE correct themselves again over the next few days I will be able to sell further potions on there I'm sure. Granted the prices are about 10% lower than I would have received before the GE was released but I am very happy to accept that cut, as it would have taken me hours upon hours to sell all those on the forums. :D
  10. Looks like most things have gone down by 5%. It's not enough, but these are very early days. A few more days and they will stabilise to the correct prices. We've just got to be patient.
  11. I don't know if this has been posted before, but the grand exchange doesn't require your pin. You can take money or items out without it. So be wary if you're going to put items worth a large amount of money on there for a long period of time. :|
  12. Bought the materials I needed for 99 fletching in less than 30 minutes. :o It's a pity the prices can not be varied by say 20% rather than being this rigid but still, it's a fantastic update.
  13. So the fact that people won't use the mostly empty servers for the next 1-30 days whilst paying for them, which barely effects Jagex's profitability at all, makes up for them not paying $60 a year to play the game? Okay....... Anyway, well thought out-research. Jagex will definitely lose money because of this, there is no question. The player base may continue to expand because of new players, but it won't expand at such a fast rate because many will quit. It may even shrink for the first time ever.
  14. Jesus Christ. Please stop with the doomsday predictions. Ruining staking is not going to make everyone quit. At worst there will be a slight shrinking of the player base. The game is not "going to fall".
  15. They crashed this afternoon but seem to be bouncing back somewhat now. This afternoon people were selling yellows for 160 without sucess. Now people are buying for 190 without sucess.
  16. If someone wanted to real world item trade, they could just take someone to their house, put their private chat on friends and drop the money for them. That would be even harder to track than losing a duel to someone. How does this update stop real world trading exactly? :?
  17. There are hundreds of millions of children in the world living in unimaginable poverty in the third world, born with aids, been made orphans by aids or both. And this kid kills herself because of some hurtful comments on "My Space" I'm lost for words. Kids in the west really don't know how lucky they are. They just hype up a whole load of problems that don't even exist or matter and say they are depressed and suicidal, and this one actually did it, over nothing. She's devastated her parents lives forever by comitting the most selfish act on the planet. Sympathy? I'm disgusted.
  18. There are probably 10x as many people that speak German in the UK than speak any of the languages you listed* Almost all kids learn German at school here and very few learn the other languages you mentioned. So good luck getting a team of translators for that. *Except French but hardly any French speaking people play.
  19. First of all, Jagex, like almost all companies, do not change prices on the basis of exchange rates. Guess what? There are SIX OTHER CONTINENTS IN THE WORLD! The dollar is weak at the moment. Could it be, that it's weak against those crazy other currencies in abroadland? OMG!! It is!! If you think that it is just Canada that pays more because of the weak dollar you are incredibly ignorant. You are complaining that Canadians get ripped off because you pay $7 Canadian and it costs $5 US. The cheapest price is ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã3.20 in the UK which is now $6.40 US because of the weak dollar. I'm sure it is the same for all countries, not just Canada. The dollar will stabilise soon and the prices will become fair again. In the meantime, take some consolation in the fact that Jagex haven't increased their prices since members was released in 2002, which in real terms is a drop in price.

  21. You want a rating for getting almost maxxed, mostly via PC? Ok, 1/10.
  22. Got it in the first sentence. I get gargoyles for about 1/3 of my tasks. Coincidence? Yes. :P
  23. Slayer was released 10 months after RC. I hope Jagex think out their new skill better than they did with hunter. :|
