The fan controversy...
Yea, but it's a brilliant move by the marketing teams. I bet their "timed fans" made them a killing.

The bible
Hey there, Defender. It's sometimes difficult to find updated material on such a widely accepted topic. For example, a 2007 article which "proves" to us that the Earth is indeed round may be difficult to find as there isn't much need to reiterate such a well-accepted topic. In any case, articles that are several years old are still valuable documents which shouldn't be dismissed so quickly. Plenty of the arguments will still hold up as good scientific evidence. To the point... Here is an "updated" article about Evolution. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution And here is a less technical introduction to the idea of Evolution, also recently updated. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Introduction_to_evolution I don't expect you to change your mind that quickly, though. You seem pretty convinced. PS: I think Denismage raises a good point.

The post I've waited years to make...
Tripsis, you seem to be turning a blind eye to Tigra00's poor choice of actions. Let's not forget: Tigra was the first to retaliate, fueling the flame. He verbally attacked Beamo26 with insults and with a poor attitude. He told him to "die" and that he was a "nobody". His comments were harsh and unnecessary. I just don't think you should single out Beamo26 as the wrong-doer, when he's only trying to defend himself calmly.

Land of the Free?
Yes, certain countries in the Middle East are unsafe at the moment (no thanks to America's response to 9/11) but there are many places that are just as safe, if not safer, than the US. Take a look at Bahrain or The United Arab Emirates, for example. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has a crime rate of 19 per thousand, while America is 398 per thousand.[1][2] Again, this depends on location. According to OSAC, terrorism is very low in the UAE.[1] Based on that, we can conclude that Americans living in the U.S. tend to deal with more terrorism than Americans living in the UAE.

Land of the Free?
I was quoting goldphishies, not you. I'm on your side here, ozzy. ;) Hopefully this isn't another stab at how "safe" America is compared to the "evil" Middle-East. :-k

Land of the Free?
Here's a link which focuses on freedom of the press. America is ranked 53rd. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reporters_Without_Borders  Yet another example of American media manipulating the general public. Many Middle-Eastern countries are very safe and very peaceful. Don't be fooled by the one-track news reports you see on American TV.

Pet spider kills its owner..pics added!
Everything here is already is old news: it becomes "past" and "history" moments after it's submitted. If we ignored "old news" there would be no news at all! ;) Thanks for the good read, regardless of when it was published. :) I would hate to be the neighbours!

They can catch that stuff pretty quickly and IP ban you for it. In any case, it's always good measure to check sources... Here are some funny Wikipedia vandalisms: Colbert's elephant fun Bad jokes archive

Random things you have always wanted to know
Yes. It's assumed that many life-bearing planets exist in the universe. We are most likely not unique. Here are some links with more info... Essay about other life-bearing planets The Cyclic Universe Model <-- A different view than simply "ever-expanding"

The post I've waited years to make...
Beamo makes a small "nerd" remark and Tigra responds with an insulting death threat... You call that justice? Next time somebody calls you a nerd over the internet; try to pull yourself together and act like an adult. Replying with a death threat is in no way justified, even if darkrick claims otherwise. Love and Peace.

I smell a hypocrite... :) Really, though; internet dating can be pretty effective these days. Runescape dating... now that's a whole different ballgame. :-w Gosh, that's an angry comment! Hopefully you don't let your temper flare like that during your two week stay, your girlfriend might not be so forgiving. :shame: Hope you have fun, though.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
A good read, but I was a little disappointed. :( The start was slow and repetitive, and the end flashed by too quickly. JKR is bloodthirsty in The Deathly Hallows. There are many major deaths, none of which are as suspenseful or dramatic as they should be. Most of them are unnecessary and rushed. "Oh, they're dead." Dumbledore's death in the Half-Blood Prince, for example, is a well-written tragedy. In that, JKR uses foreshadowing and dramatic irony to increase suspense. The resulting death acts as an excellent climax in the novel and the d̮̩̉̉nouement is very moving. Just my two cents.

Eragon worth reading?

Athiest?
I feel like a broken record. :-w Why can't the universe (and God) have always existed? There is no starting point nor will there be an end point. See my link to the Cyclic Universe theory a few posts up for more info... I'll leave myself out of the biological or physical discussion. I don't know much about either.

Athiest?
Science is based off facts and theories, as well as other variables. Here's a definition from Answers.com: Fact is a verifiable observation that has been accepted by society. Saying "the Earth is round" is fact because it can be scientifically verified and because it is accepted by the society. An ancient scribe claims that God exists and you call this proof? I can write a book claiming that God did not exist. What reasons would you have for not believing me?

Where did you get this info? Show some sources if you want to be taken seriously. Here's a great essay estimating the abundance of life in the universe. He estimates 200 million life-bearing planets. http://www.krysstal.com/extrlife.html I can answer that in the same way a religious person would answer "Where did God come from?" The universe is something that has always existed. It didn't come from anything, there is no point of origin, it's just "there." It's a hard concept to grasp but no harder than the concept of God. This is only a theory, there are many out there trying to explain this. What the hell is all this crap? Again, show some sources please. It proves nothing and only makes me less inclined to believe in God. How about we apply it to atheism: SILLY ARGUMENT, a.k.a. SILLYARGUMENTALIST (I) (1) If reason exists than God does not exist. (2) Reson exists. (3) Therefore, God does not exist.
