[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
 I'm not even that good but I don't have problems with pyros. Also on the spy topic I find that I don't have a huge issue with pyros spy checking. Sure, sometimes it gets pretty [bleep]ing annoying when they just randomly shoot over by you but it doesn't happen to me often. Of course I'm really good at jukeing people with the C&D too. Oh and it is funny as [cabbage] to kill a scout 1v1 with the revolver as a spy. It honestly happens more than you'd expect, some scouts are terrible.

Stoner Doom
Same suggestions from me, haha. It pretty much gets to a point where I/Jaerk get on steam and end up saying "hey go download this album" every time. :wall:

Games that you find overrated?
I'm going to (obviously) disagree with this. I'm sure it doesn't help but when a game almost unanimously wins hundreds of "the best game of all time" awards you know there is something about it. I really do not see any FPS that has done it better than Half Life, and I would be strongly interested in what you think has because I want to play that game ASAP. The only thing I could see not liking Half Life is because the story is very Lost like. As in a lot of the story is down to speculation while they slowly unravel what is going on. As someone who has beaten the original game probably 5 times and the expansions a few times each (and obviously played through HL2 and EP1/EP2) there are things you will not catch with the first play through. I was amazed at how many little tidbits to the story you get by just placing the pieces together and thinking. I've had numerous long discussions over steam with some people about the story, the origins of the G-Man, his intentions, ect. Also in all honesty no other company can pace their games as well as valve can. Sure, there were some parts in Half Life which were not perfect (most notably a few of the odd jumping puzzles which seem really out of place) and the voices were a little limited (mostly attributed to the time it came out) but honestly, I can't really see someone calling it overrated. This is the game that honestly changed the way we did FPS, and there is a pretty clear line with "pre half-life" FPS and "post half-life" FPS. Before half life the storyline in an FPS was largely used as just an excuse to get around and shoot people. Levels were largely disjointed for the most part showing no real continuity at all. Half Life was one of the first FPS's who had a continual storyline and world. When you add in the fact that it spawned some of the worlds best multiplayer FPS's I would say it very easily can sit up there on it's pedestal. It wasn't a perfect game but it damn well is the closest thing to perfect. Bioshock just felt like a worse System Shock 2 to me.

It's based on the D&D 3rd edition ruleset so be ready for some difficult encounters depending on what class you pick.

Abortion what do you think of it?
It most definitely is killing, however, the severity of that term differs a lot. We kill germs by washing our hands. We kill sperm by doing you-know-what. There's nothing really wrong with killing either of those. And as for abortion, you could say the same. Yes, the baby was killed but killing isn't always going to be evil or whatever. Sometimes it's necessary. To say abortion isn't killing a fetus just sounds dishonest to me though. On the other side of that though I feel people use the word kill on purpose to invoke emotion. It's not the same as killing an actual baby (who is already born) but they still hold it as the same. Again, it depends on the timing. Terminating a zygote or early stage foetus and terminating a baby a few weeks from birth are quite different things. I don't see the distinction between a foetus that's developed for 8 or so months and a baby who is two weeks old. Sorry, I was hoping that it would be implied that I meant early on. Should have clarified that.

Baldur's Gate I / II Neverwinter Nights (I only) Icewind Dale I / II Planescape: Torment System Shock 2 (FPS but it has a lot of RPG elements which are amazing, it's the precursor to Bioshock) Titan Quest (Decent diablo clone and more recent) Fallout I / II Knights of the Old Republic I / II umm... yeah. Really though even if you just got Baldur's Gate I / II and Neverwinter Nights and its expansion packs that would easily be about 500-600 hours worth of content. Baldur's gate I is probably like 80 hours long (idk, never beat it), Baldur's Gate II is at least 150 hours long, 200+ if you do side quests and then it's expansion Throne of Bhaal adds in another 50-60 hours. Neverwinter Nights is around a 60 hour romp and then it's expansion packs all together probably add in another 100 hours. Favorite three that I listed are Baldur's Gate II, Neverwinter Nights and System Shock 2.

[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
I'm getting better as a Cloak & Dagger spy. It actually fits the way I play spy well, because I usually try and go for clumps of enemies as a spy. Like wait for their team to get on the cart and then backstab a bunch, or have some people run in front of me, de-cloak and stab. But yeah, almost beat my spy record today (record is 27 points, I got 20) on egypt, which isn't exactly a very good map anyways. Still I was getting good at stabbing and quickly cloaking and running in a random [wagon] corner or something. It's hillarious seeing their team get all antsy and start spy checking all over the place, while you just watch them and taunt through typing :). Also it always feels good when you see 3 (yes, 3) enemy snipers switch to razorback after stabbing them.

Muse - The Resistance
I've always thought Muse was a fun band to listen to. Not the most musical or talented band in the world, but they know how to make catchy songs.

Final Fantasy XIV - MMORPG!
So I was right afterall, it pretty much sounds like the same system Earthrise is using. I'm sure for PvE players it should be something to really look forward to, although I haven't heard of any plans on PvP yet.

School
Your birthday is a day before mine. :) I'm guessing studio art is a focus on photography, right? Anyways I'll be starting my 3rd year of college on the 24th. So far I'm taking a bunch of core classes this semester, although I still am taking Color Management and I am doing a "lab" for a class with my 3D/Web design teacher. Essentially I'll just help him out with the equipment, help out students and get my hands on a bunch of cool stuff. He does the 3D, Web design and the video production classes and I plan on doing some stuff from all of them. :) We also have a pimped out studio in the tech center building where we're going to move his class to this semester. Has a great sound proof room with a high quality mic and another room with a greenscreen.

Abortion what do you think of it?
I don't see it as being any different than using a condom or birth control if you do it early enough. Sure it's a "wasted potential" of a life, but isn't using a condom wasting that potential of life too? Really though I personally think that no matter what your views are abortion should be legal, just for the sake of those who want to get a safe abortion. If you don't believe in it, or you don't think a woman should get an abortion, don't do it. Of course as long as the argument still is based off of charged words like "kill" it isn't going to get anywhere. Chances are someone who feels strongly about pro-life isn't going to listen. In the end most of the arguments against abortion stem from either religious reasons or more of an ignorance on it. After all getting rid of something that wasn't conscious to begin with really isn't any different than just not having it at all. And sure, people should always use condoms and birth control methods but sometimes [cabbage] happens.

I'm not sure, I torrented my new copy because I already owned the game. The PS2 version isn't the same game btw.

Almost forgot to mention, I'll probably end up seeing dragonforce and Sonata Arctica this september. Only $20 and my roomate is going, so figured why not. Sonata should be fun to see if they play some old songs and I'm sure dragonforce will be funny at least. Also found out Dethklok is playing near me in october. [bleep] yeah.

Do you not have your songs organized in a folder or something? When I switched to songbird I just added in my music folder. Only problem I could see is if you had a bunch of duplicates or something.

Live Concerts
Yeah. I'd love to see them and Alice in Chains, but having to endure through all those others? [cabbage]. I saw Lizzy supporting Deep Purple and they were absolutely terrible. I'd figure, doubt they'd be like in the older days. Still kind of sad to see them with a band like Linkin Park.

What do YOU want in BioShock 2?
I didn't think the first was worth my $50 so I'll hold off or torrent this release. (it's a pity that we can't rent games for the PC :/). In all honesty I had fun with the game, but the story was done before and about 10 years earlier. It did have a few moments that I really enjoyed though (Would you kindly?) Do wish they just stuck with one game though.

Why kid's should play Half-life 2 instead of GTA
The puzzles are largely prevalent in the second of the series, which hosts some pretty solid physics based puzzles. Certainly not a puzzle game though. Oh and you're missing a lot if you didn't even play through all of the game. Of course the first one is much older at this time so you might not be able to get into it. (and I don't think you're too terrible old yourself, right? I don't think you would have played the game on launch like I did). The second one might be more interesting to you because it is more "modern" but make no mistake, Half Life still tells a story better than any of these modern FPS's and has much better pacing than most of them out today. But aren't you the guy who thought Haze was a good game? I mean how can someone trust your opinion then? :P

Looking for a New Game? Ask Here!
Lemme grab my DS, haha. (Haven't used this thing in like forever, but I'll read off what I got). Alright, this is what I have WarriorWare: Touched! Super Mario 64 DS Metroid prime hunters New Super Mario Bros Final Fantasy III Final Fantasy IV Sonic Rush Adventure Contra 4 Orcs and Elves Final Fantasy XII Advance Wars - Day of Ruin The World ends with you Final Fantasy Tactics A2 Trackmania DS Chrono Trigger Metal Slug 7 N+ Mario Kart I should really download some new games, haha. Out of those my favorites are probably: Contra 4 (must have for action!) Mario 64 DS (really good port of the game) The World ends with you (unique RPG) N+ (awesome platformer) FFIII/IV are both solid RPG ports The castlevania games for DS are great too. So while I'm here I may as well ask if anyone knows some solid RPG's or something for the DS that are more recent. Maybe something from Atlus. Going on vacation soon so would be nice to have something for the ride. (And I haven't paid attention to DS games recently).
