Brochure
I like the look of it, real nice. Are you going to be printing this actually, or is it just for show? If you're printing it I would make sure everything is in CMYK at the end and I would probably transfer it all over to something like InDesign for the best result.

[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
See I prefer all of the assists I get with jarate. Plus jarate and a melee hit is really useful if they get up close (at least better than trying to do damage with the [cabbage]ty smg).

Nah didn't really care to have a turn anyways. :)

[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
I'm still really using the huntsman now as a sniper. The Huntsman/Jarate combo is great, because I can provide some awesome support with jarate (Jarate + pyro = sex) and you would be surprised how many headshots you can pull with Huntsman if you're good.

[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
Take another route or something. As far as spy goes I'll play it now and then but I have the worst luck in the world. Seriously, I've been headshot in stealth by a huntsman arrow so many times I've lost count. Countless snipers have gotten that stupid achievement from me.

- The official World of Warcraft thread.
It's pretty much the same. If raiding @ 80 doesn't interest you then this really isn't a game to bother with.- Project Natal + Milo (Revolutionise game industry)
Don't make any sense in this thread either.- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
It's just a heartbeat sensor, because of the snow, it's only on that weapon, and in that level. Ah ok, that's disappointing. It had a real Dead Space sort of vibe to it with that minimalistic UI.- Best Games.
It's also an extremely subjective question, and one that is often dependent on aspects such as design, soundtrack, user interface, performance, script/storyline, and polish. If these aspects fall short of user expectations, it can impact the overall experience of a game, even if the gameplay itself is enjoyable. Having fun is an important feature of mainstream games, but it's definitely not the only feature. Said what I wanted to say. And anyways, for the record, I don't just mindlessly follow reviews. There are plenty of well reviewed games I dislike (Halo, for example) and there are also games out there that are poorly reviewed that still stand among my favorites (Lineage II). However just like any human I can't try everything and I will let a review tell me if it is pretty good or not. Of course I really only pay attention to sites I trust, not a metascore, and I certainly do think a lot of sites are terrible for reviews and extremely biased. (And honestly if you guy's can't tell I was just trying to get a rise out of sworddude, come on, look a little closer. I haven't played HAZE and never really will.) That's why I still like to place Half Life as my favorite, it really changed so much more than just one genre, it changed everything. Half Life 2 did a lot of the same as well with its physics, these days you always see every game touting around their awesome physics engine but before Half life 2 there really was no such thing. The classics are always good, I agree. Not as much for being first but even today a lot of them have brilliant level design and it was amazing to see what they could do with so little to go by. Sure, some things in these games are archaic by nature, key cards and such, but they really are impressive.- Guess the Game
One of the Legacy of Kain games?- Left 4 Dead
If you watch the interview I posted, dizzle, he says that valve is looking into ways to integrate them both. Nothing is set in stone yet but they want to do that.- Left 4 Dead
Requiring L4D and the expansion would kind of suck for new buyers. They did say that the will at least allow custom maps from L4D into L4D2, and they are looking into a way to connect the two games.- Left 4 Dead
The L4D team and a lot of the TF2 team are the same people so I wouldn't be surprised.- Left 4 Dead
New infected and weapons too. Not to mention new gameplay mechanics that force palyers away from hiding in a corner. (gauntlets for one, read up about it -- it's awesome. No longer can you sit in a corner and deal with it, you need to keep on moving forward or you will get swarmed.) It's plenty worth $50.- Spore - Galactic adventures UK Release!
Spore was pretty brutally average (not near the level of hype it was put at) and alongside of the stupid DRM fiasco I never bothered with the game. Needless to say the expansion doesn't change my mind about anything.- Left 4 Dead
JJ have you watched any of the videos about it yet? It's a hell of a lot more than "L4D with melee weapons".- What Do I Do?
Meh I'm not a big fan of roller coasters myself so I usually avoid them. Not out of fear, mind you, I just don't really enjoy them and I don't enjoy getting spun all around a lot. (and yes, I've rode plenty of them before.) No real advice to give you though.- E3 2009 - The Big 3 & the Minorities
kOI4XJecOc0 Giant Bomb was making fun of part of the Nintendo press conference.- Porfolio re-imaging: SITE PREVIEW IS UP WITH DOCK
Yeah right now I'm doing that. For the container though I set each margin manually (well auto for left/right/bottom and 300px for top) so that it would hang off center there a bit instead of dead center. Good to hear what I've got it fine so far, now the difficult part is the javascript =P.- Left 4 Dead
http://www.giantbomb.com/e3-2009-interv ... -2/17-813/ This is a pretty good interview with valve about L4D2.- Project Natal + Milo (Revolutionise game industry)
I know at least the guy's over at Joystiq got to see it and try it out, so it's not just this crazy top secret thing.- Porfolio re-imaging: SITE PREVIEW IS UP WITH DOCK
Slight update. I'm still figuring out what I want to do with the background, but for the time being I've started to get some of the coding done. Background will just be done last.- Compressing video.
What video editor are you using? Use their built in compression.- Left 4 Dead
Valve wanted to make sure that modders don't spend a ton of time on a game that has some real apparent flaws to it. The more I hear about L4D2 the more I support it, especially if it has mod support right off the bat. - The official World of Warcraft thread.
