Over 20 hours of work for something so simple? Maybe not :P
/agree Well, it's not like I wasn't planning on using my video interface elsewhere. If you've ever worked with Flash, you'd know just how easy it is to swap graphics around. All I have to do is create new graphics, swap them with the old ones, and suddenly the interface isn't related to RuneScape anymore. Actually, I'm planning on doing exactly that for a few videogame sprite movies I'll be making a while from now. Making the graphical parts of the interface only took about an hour or two, it's the coding that's the real nightmare. Once the code's done, you can do practically anything with it Besides, this is the first major application I've ever developed in Flash; previously all I've done is gotten a 2-D sprite of Mario to walk around in a blank white space. I learned a lot about actionscripting from doing this, and now I have a better idea about how to accomplish future applications which I might work on. And, yes, I do write way too much Fair enough.

"Dharmaville"
After a while of being :awesome: on the Something Awful forums and getting overused (like it does here) it got switched to the name :ima[bleep]: .

Getting my old files to my new comp.
So what, you just used the "my friend" excuse just so you'd get some help? Anyways: Saved Games/custom content you can just reinstall the game on your new PC and then transfer over specific folders (saves and whatever else) over to it. WoW you can just copy over the entire game. The other games I'm not sure if they create something in the registry or not, you'll probably need to reinstall them.

Need some advice about a friend (details inside)
Seems we got ourselves an internet tough guy :wall:. If every problem was solved that easily would he really have had to make this thread? He wants some ideas on what to do that are alternatives to the one hardwired into us. And like I said, if he goes and kicks the guys [wagon] you think his friend is going to sit there and take it? You think he won't want revenge? Also I'm wondering if you follow your own advice, beat the [cabbage] out of everyone that does something wrong? You'd end up in jail. Have fun playing RS with Bubba from D block breathing down your neck. Did I say beat his [wagon]? No. I said confront him. Tell him what's going down, don't make up excuses like, "oh, it's broken" when it's not. Talk to him, face-to-face, and tell him that he can't be mooching all the time like he does. It's effective, and gets your point across better than pretending that his habit is simply inaccessible. "Confrontation" does not mean violence. And by kick to the curb I meant boot him from the house, despite whatever it may really mean. Same idea, confrontation. I say just curb stomp the mother [bleep]er.

Conservative Host Scoffs Waterboarding; Is Waterboarded; Say
I do applaud him for changing his position so quickly and admitting he was wrong. @ Dizzle: The U.S doesn't always torture the "bad guys". And to not consider waterbording torture is just stupid, have you seen any of the videos where someone gets waterboarding? Most people can only last 6-12 seconds before wanting to call it in, and in real torture it lasts much, much longer than 6 seconds.

The official World of Warcraft thread.
It's too bad I can't find a post a while back when I posted all the reasons why runescape is such a horrible game ray. I'd love to have posted it here.

The official World of Warcraft thread.
I don't think anyone that has played on burning blade in the past even plays the game anymore. I mean, I quit, Riku quit, I don't think Lion hardly plays anymore and I'm not sure what shadowfax is doing.

The official World of Warcraft thread.
I'm sure we all thought that after playing. @tintin: to clarify on what I said earlier, my first MMO experience was with Ultima Online at a friends house. It would have been my first real MMO but my parents (was like 11 at the time) didn't want to pay a monthly fee for it :( . Ended up playing runescape due to there being nothing else. This was like 7 or 8 years ago so there wasn't exactly a good market for f2p MMORPGs like there is today, they were still very much in their infancy still. Either way I ended up quitting the game like a year later after picking it up and only returned once for like 3 months once the whole "RS2" thing came around. I didn't start playing WoW Until the end of vanilla because I viewed it as a terrible MMO. ^ Plus I've played too many mmo's other than just WoW/RS :P. Probably just about every MMORPG you can think of (minus AC/EQ1) I have played.

Real question here, why do you waste your time making runescape"fakes" when you could be using that time to be making some pretty cool web apps. Clearly you have an idea of what you're doing but I just can't get past the fact that you're doing all this for a runescape thing. It just seems all so... pointless. /agree

RYB and CMY theory?
Print isn't just CMYK. It's also spot color a lot of times and rarely it is Hexecrome (which can produce more colors from the visible spectrum than CMYK). You really don't have an option to work with anything else if you're digital. Even in the print industry images aren't converted into CMYK until after post-process effects have been finished, but before layout.
-
RYB and CMY theory?
Meh I don't really know what else to tell you. Everything I've been taught about color theory is based on RYB, and I am much more inclined to believe my professors and color theorists than you. I don't really have any other explanation for you.

Tell the mooch to [bleep] off and get his own stuff.

RYB and CMY theory?
They don't though. If you read everything I had posted I stated that both RGB and CMY(K) combinations can only create a minor part of the full, visible, color spectrum. Our eyes simply see color, that's it. Source:[1] Maybe that'll clear it up? There actually is a model based around RGB as well. They're supposed to be stark opposites, and red and green are. The RYB color wheel people use is in no way broken.

I didn't quit RS to play WoW and RS wasn't my first MMO experience either. Of course then again I don't play WoW now either so.

Making Friends
Honestly, I hope this is real. The thought of a bunch of middle school children (more than likely) all trying to bend over backwards into tricking their friend to giving them his runescape account is hilarious. I mean, randomly phoning you and asking you questions? That's [bleep]ing amazing. I don't really have any advice beyond the obvious, but dear god I really can't stop laughing at the thought of this. Devious little bastards these days huh? (even better, I can imagine like some [bleep]ing Oceans Eleven [cabbage] where they try some crazy [wagon] scheme to get this kids account)
-
RYB and CMY theory?
Oh, that. It's less about RGB/CMYK and more about just color in general. Color theory doesn't need to fall under a certain color system, especially when in printing often times spot color will get used, which is a specific pantone color, not a mix of RGB or CMYK. from the site though: It's just a placement of colors that in various combinations look good together. I'm not sure the big reason behind RYB but it clearly works. You just need to think of everything as just color, and not as mixtures of RGB and CMYK (which can not effectively produce every color in the color spectrum)) Picture of a "color spectrum". As you can see even a monitor display can not effectivly display everything, nor can CMYK or Hexecrome (which is CMYK + Orange and Green)

First tag in ages.
I feel like it could be more defined, right now it sort of looks.. half-done. Honestly I think with some tweaks it could be pretty nice looking. Right now it just looks unfinished though, which may just be the way your style works but still.

Help a newbie coder out please
Why DOS anyways, if I might ask hawkxs? Seems sort of, well very, pointless.

What Game(s) Did You Last Get and What Are You Playing?
Downloaded it tonight (Yeah yeah, I know) and I have to say it's a really fun game, much better than I expected. I'm already at a C grade license and found it hard to pull myself away. Should keep me busy between this and TF2.

[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
Apparently they will allow item trading in the future or something. I have like 4 flare guns. Btw found out today that with a pyro's help a sniper can get his arrow lit on fire, which on impact will actually cause the enemy to catch fire.

[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
Dude, the huntsman is seriously like the sleeper hit of the patch. I [bleep]ing love this thing. Saruman can vouch for this, I was running around and changed my name to Ted Nuggent just destroying people with the bow. Don't get me wrong, it's a hard weapon to use in a 1v1 situation, but in a normal 12v12 it's [bleep]ing awesome. And in skilled hands I can see this thing being abused. :P Needless to say this update has pulled me back in. Think I must have played for like 4 hours tonight straight.
