Finished up Bathory's Nordland I album and am listening to Nordland II now. Won't finish it though, getting off work now.

Yeah, read that the other day. They sure are professional aren't they! :lol: WoW's server issues were all fixed within 3 months, Blizzard gave out tons of free time and apologized a lot. LoTRO had much more added in content in 3 months. [bleep], even Vanguard was doing better once SOE got its hands on it (maybe not 3 months, closer to 4?) 3 months is a lot of time to where they haven't really fixed A SINGLE [bleep]ING IMPORTANT THING. I don't give a [cabbage] if these mobs are naked now or if this guy's spelling was corrected. The PvP patch or PvP levels that were supposed to be IN LAUNCH are still not here. The memory leak which they've claimed to "cure" 3 times now IS WORSE THEN EVER. Stats, while they kinda-sorta work, are still [bleep]ing useless. Sieges still lag the [bleep] out of people, Raid content is still bugged beyond belief and you really can not raid past T1 (if that) without encountering bugs in which they make the raid near impossible. *inhales deeply* They still have not added in any content from levels 50-80. The only thing they did was update Black Castle (who gives a [bleep] about a lvl 30 place) and updated the Pyramid (lvl 30, who cares?). They have no clue about class balance, as the Dark Templars are still [bleep]ing useless and the one shoting is extreme. Even the most simple of issues to fix (a loot table issue in which players could get upwards of 4-5 epics an hour) took Funcom 3 days to hotfix, allowing players to destroy the already shattered economy with cheap epics. Mounted combat is a buggy piece of [cabbage] that is not near what they hyped, in fact if you try and fight on your mount you're a [developmentally delayed] because you actually gimp yourself for doing it. And aside from all of this there are still numerous graphical issues which I am amazed got past the alpha of the game. Oh, and DX10 which was supposed to be in game at launch is still not in game and IIRC is slated for a 2009 release. They actually had the balls to put on the back of the game "Optimized for DX10" when they are clearly lying. And speaking of that, the minimum/recommended specs are bull. That is all that is wrong with the game and what they have not fixed. Even the female attack speed they ended up making a worse mess of by making males attack slower, nerfing it instead of just fixing the problem. Funcom has had plenty of time and the only thing they can do is put out lowbie content. You know why? Because guess what reviewers are going to play first! Phew, that was a hell of a rant. :D Little rant of mine (bored at work...almost over) about the problems of the game summed up in a couple of paragraphs.

I definitely agree about VGCats, but CntrlAltDel I really actually enjoy :( B^Uckly has a problem with premature punchlines. He's so excited to tell his mediocre joke the he spills it in the first panel and the next 3 panels are useless. He is good with those Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V functions though...

Woke up at 7:00, took a shower, went to work. Been browsing various stuff all day and working on a new website (which is about done now). Ehh... I got a new avatar today as well.

Valve "works through EA" as well and has been for a couple of years now (since orange box). EA is nothing but a publisher. They take care of giving studios more financing and selling the game boxes. They have NOTHING AT ALL to do with the game design. Valve, Mythic, Bioware.. all these companies are a part of EA. EA now isn't like the EA it used to be, it's instead just a much more distant publisher instead of a game design company.

I know we had a post a ways back (some months ago?) but it just kind of died. However I've recently come across some great web comics and I thought revitalizing it would be a good idea. KC Green's stuff is pretty damn funny, I'm reading through the archives at the moment. horribleville BEE POWER (not updated anymore) Custom Comics [hide=Example][/hide] Pictures for Sad Children is another new one I've been keeping up with. it's a mix between :cry: and :D and is also the source of my current avatar. [hide=examples] [/hide] Perry Bible Fellowship I'm sure a lot of people here read, but its worth mentioning. Still one of the funniest comics on the web, shame its very rarely updated anymore. [hide=example][/hide] Also a small shout out to Penny Arcade and Cyanide and Happiness. They're really popular webcomics, but most are still pretty damn funny (although they can be hit and miss). Penny arcade, especially, is still one of the best gaming humor webcomics. I don't think there is any real need to post examples of these :P Feel free to list your own recommendation of lesser name webcomics and what you read yourself. Maybe even post some terrible webcomics too

It's being made by Mythic, not EA. Mythic is as much of a part as EA as Valve is a part of EA. The game is not like WoW. It visually is like WoW just because Blizzard copied the warhammer franchise for warcraft. The content and game is actually quite different from WoW (aside from them both being MMORPGS).

I love Machinima (See "SourGruntProductions" for MY machinimas) I just found him :D WoW is a good base for machinima. Warcraftmovies is probably the best site for them. Favorite machinimas: The grind (series), Time Gnomes (series), Jimmy the world of warcraft story. Then I have a few PvP videos I have really enjoyed.

The first we knew of it was when a forum post suggested Funcom take a look at their loot tables, because certain mobs were dropping a heck of a lot more purple loot than they were (presumably) supposed to. The poster backed this up by providing a screenful of blue and purple items garnered in a very short space of time. Word got out, as it inevitably does. It seems the Beguiler Demons in Poitain were bugged: their loot table was so skewed that soon any level 75+ character that wanted to could go and stock up on epic drop after epic drop. They're not the best gear in the game by far, but it was pretty clear that a purple item is supposed to be a lot rarer than this. Personal inventories and traders alike were soon overflowing. As of this morning's small patch, a fix has been put in place: 'Altered the loot table of the Beguiler Demons in Potain so they are now dropping more appropriate loot.' Several days' worth of wanton purple looting has already taken place, so this is a bit like shutting the stable door after the horse has... well, not so much bolted as seduced your wife, stolen the family silver, drunk all your cognac, smoked your cigars, lost interest and ambled off. Even better, the comments: Nadril said... Yeah, not that big of a deal guys. A mob dropped epics with an insanely high drop rate, effectively screwing up the economy even more and overflooding it with items, draging the price way down. This happens everywhere! [bleep] do you even read what you're typing dude? Goddamn Funcom fanboys are ridiculous. o_O :shock: I actually want Age of Conan to fail now just so other gaming companies will learn that you can't pull of [cabbage] PR tactics and lie to your customers and get away with it.
