SOTW#11 Theme = Transport - Vote now!
If I remember right this is an actual 3D render and that using it is ripping as it isn't actually "stock". Of course if you got this off of a stock site with the artist saying its ok, that's fine, but not every image you come across is stock-fodder. I'll be entering.

Oh crap, the same kind of description pre-june 5th of AoC, fun to level, no idea about endgame...=P This is actually more fun to level though. Like, I had fun 1-50ish or so leveling the first time but man 60-80 sucks. Plus TR is really fresh as far as MMOs go.

My favorite interview with him is when he's talking about the cities or something. It seriously went like this: He seriously could not think of the goddamn acronym 'NPC' as a [bleep]ing game developer. I'm not exaggerating the uhh's either. Josh Drescher (WAR guy) is actually really enjoyable to watch an interview with. He's really excited about the game and doesn't really fill it with a ton of PR speak. IDK how the end game is, but man it's fun to level in and I figure it'll hold my attention for 2 months or so until WAR is out.

Well don't dismiss it so early, and this may not be an MMO, but a FPS, but it's fun to pass the time (Combat Arms). : Yeah, Combat Arms is pretty fun. Two other good free FPS's would be America's Army and Warsow. Tabula Rasa (MMOFPS) is really fun too so far. I don't know how much there is to do at max level, but it's a fun leveling experience so far. Of course I'm not sure I'd recommend it if you play solo. I've been playing it with a group of 4-5 others and just having a blast. Towns in this game (Capture points) constantly get attacked by aliens and can get taken over (in which you can take it back). Awesome fun hopping between towns and [cabbage] defending them and good XP  . With skatedog on this, I would give it a shot. The latest videos and such of it have really shaped up (lighting effects in place and such) and it looks wonderful for a game that isn't rough on system specs. Plus the PvP sounds wonderful. That and Josh Drescher is much easier to watch in interviews then the dude from Funcom.

Bugggggggggy
Man, was this thread moved from general or something? Update Java, update your video cards drivers and see if the problem persists. If it's still happening try and tone down the graphics.

Just a random useful thingie
Yeah Oy is totally going to keylog you. Anyways nice link Oy, I may have to give it a shot. Reminds me I think I need to still download CCleaner on my current PC (IIRC it allows you to clean registry too?)

I have to agree that the render could fit in a bit more. I had a bit of a problem making it fit, even after brushing over it and such. I think I might have gone a little crazy with the clipping mask over it. Ah well, still getting used to their applications and such. I've been giving these "splatter brushes" a shot too and just trying out new techniques.

I haven't really encountered any bugs so far, and servers have been really stable.

HD, how do you disable add ons? ill try to find it til you answer. Tools > addons. I want to say that you're having a problem with HD in firefox though. Maybe try playing HD through internet explorer or the browser you can download for RS? I've heard HD has a lot of problems when it comes to support for firefox.

Really? I figured the bright part would draw your attention.

I'm giving tabula Rasa a shot right now with my friends I played AoC with, very fun game so far and a good change of pace. It'll probably keep me interested until WAR comes out.

Wanted to bump this because I have another recommendation you can try. Tabula Rasa I've been playing lately, in wake of quiting Age of Conan. So far its proven to be a very unique and fun experience (I'm playing with a group of 5 people). The game is an MMOFPS set in the future. I don't really know how to explain it, but the game is just a lot of fun -- there's a ton to do and I've enjoyed it a lot so far. I don't know what else to say because I just started yesterday, but you can try out the 7 day trial (no CC needed!) if you want. I'm on the Pegasus Server and my characters name is Cyrant Biotin. I really would urge anyone looking for an MMO to please not disreguard the smaller ones, a lot of times they're the most fun.

Disable any add-ons you might have in firefox and see if the problem persists. Likewise does this ever happen when you're not playing runescape? And are you playing HD or normal RS?

For WoW it's not so much that it is end game oriented as the end game in it is kind of boring.

Offical Age of Conan thread
I've been as patient as I can for fixes. For content, for bug fixes, for fixing the crippling memory leak issue... and I'm just tired of waiting. Am I a hypocrite? Maybe, but it doesn't even matter now. I always ignore a lot of issues whenever I play a game, and focus on the positives. I focused on the fun world PvP (although atm it's only large guilds mass ganking now instead of the smaller group afairs scattered around) and how the game looked. I focused on the idea that I enjoyed the lore. But I ignored several things for too long. The crippling memory leak which has gotten progressively worse every patch. The servers that, while smooth as [cabbage] for the first few weeks, now constantly D/C the entire instance which seems to happen every hour or so. The bugs in the game which, admittedly aren't HUGE all the time, but still pile up very quickly. It's not that there is bugs in the game, or crashes and stuff either. I mean, I can even put up with that [cabbage] (however much there is) to a point. I put up with it in Hellgate:London and I put up with it in the numerous private servers I've played in the past. The problem is that Funcom seems oblivious to it's actual problems because they keep patching content no one gives a [cabbage] about. Most of the player base has hit 80 and is just leveling alts due to boredom. Yet instead of focusing on higher level content FIRST Funcom does it [wagon]-backwards, and works their way up through the levels. They decided that it is seemingly more important to Give us a better Black Castle and Pyramid of the Ancients that, well, most players end up doing maybe once and that is it. They ignore the fact that there are many parts of the game which leveling is purely party based. Now, I am fine with this but the problem is that the leveling content for like 74-80 is in one small area that only supports 1 group at once. Throw in the fact that this is AoE based, so that classes such as a ranger are completely useless to it and have a much harder time leveling. It's not that I had a hard time leveling either, my ToS leveled stupid fast as did my HoX (who is just 78). The problem is that there were numerous times where I would log in game and stupidly twiddle my thumbs shouting "78 hox LF DM grind" over and over and over. I got more enjoyment out of playing FFIV on my DS then trying to get my HoX to 80 for [bleep]s sake. Then Guild problems just didn't help at all. When I started I joined [The Family Buisness] which was a great guild which had people I knew from my old WoW server. However shortly it ended going from like 50+ active members down to 7. We tried to do what we could in [TFB] but ultimately we were stunted by the game mechanics to what we could do as a guild. So we decided to join another guild. We joined [Xen of Onslaught] first and got to witness a DM grind with them. They got destroyed in PvP, we had people shouting, and it just wasn't fun at all. Then they had a horrible raid (which I refused to take a part of) and their officer (who sounded like [bleep]ing 15) was yelling at everyone. Meh. So we joined [Pandora's Mighty Soldiers] and thought we had hit it good. They had some T1 content done and seemed pretty good. Problem was, well, they wern't. And aside from that we had more guild drama inside the guild which involved a few people leaving. Plus, well, the guild [bleep]ing didn't do anything. As [TFB] us 7 probably did more in a [bleep]ing day then this guild did in a week. Of course we couldn't now due to the Apprentice system nerf, but still Pandora's was just unorganized and just an orgy of other guilds. The fact is is that if my guild was awesome, did PvP constantly and all that I would probably wait out AoC more. In World of Warcraft I ended up staying in the game much after I started to dislike it solely due to the fact that my guild mates were [bleep]ing awesome and I had a lot of fun with them. It didn't matter if I disliked raiding and that PvP in WoW was nothing but an e-peen fueled item grinding mini game because my guild was cool. I just got tired. I've been thinking about saying "[bleep] this" for probably a month or more now, but just stuck with it due to the PvP patch dangling in front of me like a goddamn carrot on a stick. In due time Funcom may fix their [cabbage], but right now I just can't be bothered. I've played Private Lineage II servers which have had more stable servers then AoC. So that is my reason. Sorry for a long post, but I wanted to explain my reasoning. The fact is is that I'm very forgiving when it comes to certain game mechanics which may not be fleshed out yet. I gave Hellgate:London about a month or so before kicking it, and because I liked Anarchy Online so much I gave Age of Conan more of a shot then what I thought. Of course, the problem and the catch is that the higher you get up the worse the content really seems. Levels 1-40, when you count out any sort of bugs or lag issues, are pretty [bleep]ing smooth and good from a PvE perspective. I would even wager that most of 40-50 is pretty fun, but in all honesty after that its just like watching a trainwreck in slow motion. I'm still going to be [bleep]ing around on white sands or so for another month (or w/e) until my sub runs out but I won't be playing it beyond that. I know my posts have gotten really harsh over the past few days versus the game, and I just want to say that I love the concept of the game but hate its execution. There needs to be a lot of work done.

Dreams
I don't remember many dreams. I do remember one a bit back, I was in the middle of reading like a 350 page thread (another forums) about horrible web comics. I dreamed about bad web comics that night. :wall:

This. The 3x 30" is drool worthy. How the [bleep] would that fit on any normal desk though?

Lizzys Art Gallery
Meh, they need a lot of work. All of them are really childish and pretty poorly drawn.this is the only one I think deserves any sort of credit, although it is much too blurry for the thing being a rock. I don't have enough time (nor willpower) to critique each of them though. Welcome to the forums.

What do you mean "the rest"? Do you have multiple firefox browsers open instead of just tabs or what? Which one crashes first? Do you have any addons installed for firefox? Also are you using FF3 or FF2?

Ordering a new computer tonight... 1 question though.
Yes the 7900GS should work fine for dual monitors like that.
