  1. What kind of headphones are you using? Where are you plugging them in at? (Headphone jack in the back? Or the front? Or USB? Or on the speakers?)

They switched it to an f2p model a while ago, didn't they? I always thought of maybe trying it but the launch reviews were so bad I didn't bother. I hear there is a new expansion pack coming out though.
  3. [bleep] Jopie, where'd that come from? :P Very nice.
  4. God agreed. I can't stand 99% of runescape fanart. This, however, brings some actual style into a boring game -- well done.
  5. Lol, good tanks can piss me off. Most don't realize that even a conq can get enough HP regen with a potion to pretty much be unkillable save for extreme damage. My ToS hit 58 last night, and actually had a chat with one of the GM's about a quest problem. I was amazed, I got responded to within 10 minutes about it and the person was very friendly. While she couldn't do anything to help me with the problem she did assure me that it is a known issue with funcom and they should hopefully have a fix for it soon (read: next patch). Nice person, even chatted with her a bit after that. :P Also I'm starting to feel like I'm writing too much about this game on massively.com, haha. But I can't help it -- every AoC article there is there is always a kid or two who proclaims the game is horrible. I know it shouldn't bother me, but I really do enjoy the game and don't want people to get the wrong idea from jaded gamers. --- ps: the ToS nerf is [bleep]ing funny. After playing a bit last night I don't even know if it constitued as a nerf, all it did was lower the leveling speed a bit for 30-50. After you get 50 or so you can get Titanic storm which lets it hit 5 targets at once, which is more than enough to take at once. I mean, between you guys and me I can still take out 5 mobs my level in 12-15 seconds. Less if I use my 1m CD spell. Oh and lightning strike was honestly buffed more than nerfed. No CD from a 2s CD and it's damage only got adjusted so that it was a higher minimum and lower maximum. Less burst and more sustainability.
  6. Plus, if you're using safari on a windows based PC I think it may still have a pretty serious problem, unless microsoft hotfixed I.E for it. (was a prob between I.E / safari). Firefox or Opera is the better bet.
  7. Ugh yeah, I know what you mean. I'm helping doing some web design work for a company this summer and I've ran into that problem -- damn annoying. Of course it's almost always I.E that likes to screw up and not firefox. Tell me about it. You do one thing to make it work in IE and it screws up everything else. Yeah. The thing I found odd is that when I do tables and valign I.E wants me to use "middle" instead of "center", yet when I do a normal align it is center. Firefox is fine with either. :wall: Thank god I'm not going into web development for a full time job in the future and this is just more of an internship though, [cabbage] would drive me mad.

  9. Just report it if you want to. However, I can bet you big money that apple will never take a look at the report.
  10. Yeah they were. I do give credit to rockstar for pulling off a great story though. However I really haven't picked it up since. Well, I did once and then it crashed. :wall: Was a fun ride but then again I was never big on any of the GTA's, so 4 still beats them for me.
  11. Pretty badass so far.

Runescape really does dwell on the addiction formula more so than any other MMORPG I've seen. I mean, answer me this (to those who still play this game): When you are doing something, like tradeskilling or leveling, do you activly pay attention to your game? I'd be willing to bet that most who play the game have a ton of different forums opened and just switch back to RS to make sure they don't log out or to switch trees (or whatever). Half of the time there is no reason to even play the game if you're just browsing online anyways, but you feel compelled to need to level your little dude. At least in other MMOs (Who still can grab those with addictive personalities) you pay a bit more attention to the content.
  13. Whats your case fan setup? My GPU is running at ~53C or so on full load while in conan, and my fans aren't the best in the world. (and it sets right next to an OC processor).

Please don't move this into the gallery, just lock it. :wall:
  15. I would surf around an EE1 forums or something, see if others have the problem too. I don't think it's an issue with your hardware or anything.
  16. Feel free to shoot me a PM with any NDS homebrew questions you have. It's actually a lot easier in the long run than PSP (having to deal with firmware downgrades and what not). I'd love to get a PSP for pure modding purposes but I don't have that kind of disposable income right now. :P Plus NDS has some great games coming out in the next few months or so.
  17. Really? Suprising kind of, I didn't expect that. Then again isn't the PSP almost the same hardware specs as the PS1? PS1: CPU: 32-bit RISC (33.9MHz) RAM: 2MB, 1MB Video RAM Graphics: 3D Geometry Engine, with 2D rotation, scaling, transparency and fading and 3D texture mapping and shading Colors: 16.7 million Sprites: 4,000 Polygons: 360,000 per second Resolution: 640x480 Sound: 16-bit 24 channel PCM PSP: CPU: PSP CPU (System clock frequency 1~333MHz) Main Memory: 32MB Embedded DRAM: 4MB Interesting, it's higher than I thought. For comparison sake, here is the NDS: NDS: CPUs: Two ARM processors, an ARM946E-S main CPU and ARM7TDMI co-processor at clock speeds of 67 MHz and 33 MHz respectively. The ARM946E-S CPU processes 3D rendering and the ARM7TDMI processes 2D rendering for DS games and Game boy Advance gameplay. RAM: 4 MB of Mobile RAM Oh well, I can do all those save for N64 / PS1. I did think the PSP specs were lower though, interesting. (I still find NDS's library better though)
  18. Ooh, not bad. My only crit is that it's hard to make out his face. Of course I'll wait to see what Hiim's is like as well. :)
  19. He might be talking about me. In no way am I mod, and I was only mocking you for your horrible job on your current signature.
  20. It's as if he was ever able to get it in the first place. @OP: don't make it so painfully obvious that you stole that image. Seriously, posting it not 5 minutes after you just got flamed for creating a [cabbage]ty copy/paste MS paint job? Pitiful.
  21. My post on massively.com about the patch notes. Now that I've had time to think about them they aren't that big of a deal, and certainly don't hamper our PvP viability. While lightning strike may do less damage as a ToS I use storm field and charged blast in PvP encounters, using my 1m CD lightning skill (hits for ~1k dmg) as burst. Sounds fun. I usually break for PvP now and then when I first enter a zone, mostly because I'm ~50 and all the others are like 55/56 or so. I've still been getting into some great PvP however. my favorite PvP encounters though are the ones that after everything is said and done you both compliment either. Bit of a story: I was fighting a similar level necro. These guys can often give me problems, but only good ones. Most of them just stand still and eat my storm field and then wonder why the die. Anyways, I was fighting this guy and he kited extremely well, got me very close a few times we fought. Hell, even one time he did some unspeakable burst damage to me which was insane. I think we ended the fights with me dying once and him dying 3 times. Afterwards he messaged me saying I was a great ToS, and I told him likewise. Really shocked me because it is generally at that point when I get a PM going "nerfnerfnerfnerfnerf" or "[bleep]ing ToS". Had a pretty good chat with the guy. My ToS is 57 now and I've just started thunder river.
  22. Oh [cabbage], did you know him at all?
  23. Yeah, because the Nazis game up with the swastika's design... And you really think that your average teenager is going to know where the swastika came from?
  24. They're seriously developing it for the Wii as well? At least it's an easy excuse to have the game look like [cabbage]. Anyways looks generic and boring from the trailer.
