The official World of Warcraft thread.
Seriously though, my rogue had 90g by level 30 and like 150g by 40... just through mining/skinning. And that was without spending any sort of extra time just tradeskilling. But when the majority doesn't know a thing about making gold, this is what happens. And you better believe it that Blizzard will be catering to the casual.

Offical Age of Conan thread
Level 43, or so, now. I was a little discouraged last night (had to argue to countless people about how "ToS aren't that OP") and tried playing my conq again. Bad mistake, I forgot how [cabbage]ty his damage output was. However the whole OP ToS thing has started to get on my nerves. The problem with it is that, while yes it is true 20-40, my ToS is starting to even out now. For example, I have 1.3k hp. An assassins opener on me took off over half my life, which I simply can't heal back. Trying to run away and kite someone when you're slowed (hit from behind) is difficult. While I still do rape face it's mostly because I know how to play the class and, well, I generally know what to watch out for other classes. I don't really want to brag but I'm just saying -- if I could kill pretty much anyone I saw (although it took forever) on my conq I don't see the problem for me doing it on my ToS. Still having lots of fun with the class however. The biggest thing is that, even if ToS need a bit of a smack on the wrist for lower level PvP, it gets tiring hearing people tell me I just rolled ToS because it's FoTM. /rant off

The official World of Warcraft thread.
http://www.massively.com/2008/06/18/wor ... /#thankYou It's so [bleep]ing obvious that blizzard is trying to keep people in the game by giving them as much free goodies as possible so they don't migrate to other, better, games.

Wendy's is in denial
Woot. A&W's teen burger is the [cabbage]. I went to the mall couple of days ago because I was craving for it. I feel like I'm pregnant because of all this craving. Wendy's big bacon classic is the only reason why I go there. BACONATOR MOTHER [bleep]ER

How to make sure you can play RSHD! ALL PROBLEMS LOOK HERE.
edit: IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH RSHD TRY THIS: (1) Make sure you have the correct specs, using the guide below. (2) Update drivers! 99% of the time your problem will be with drivers. (3) Update Java! If none of those work, and you just get lag or some other odd problems remember, RSHD IS IN BETA so that means that there will be problems. Just wait it out. ---------- Considering this question is bound to pop up again, I figured I'd make a quick little guide on how to figure it out yourself. What we are going to do is make sure that you have this. (1) Open the start menu and go to run, and type in DXDIAG (2) You will be greeted by a window that looks like this: The one underlined in blue is the CPU, and in red your RAM. In general if the requirements say 1.5Ghz it would be wise to have at least a 2ghz-ish processor, or any dual-core processor would do. The RAM would probably be better off to have at least a Gig of it, considering how cheap. If you are running vista I would recommend 2GB. (3) Now go to the Display tab (mine has 2 because I have 2 monitors) Underlined in red is your primary concern. as this is what your graphics card is. In blue is how much memory your graphics card has (mine is 512Mb). Now, for a game that requires 64Mb it would be best to probably at least have a 128Mb. The good news is that unless your PC is as old as jesus you should, hopefully, be set. (4) If you are fine, than have fun and go ahead and play. However, if not, go to (5) (5) So obviously one of your PC components is a problem, is there an easy way to fix it? CPU: This is the most difficult of the 3 to replace. The good news, however, is that 1.5ghz CPU's are very rare now except in 6+ year old machines. The other good news is that the CPU may not cause as much of a problem as a lack of RAM would, so if you're close to it or a little under you can give it a shot anyways. RAM: This is easy to fix. The best way is to get a gig stick, assuming you use DDR2 ram. THIS RAM is a great deal, $21 for a gig. If you don't want to order online you can always go to a local retailer (Best buy or such) and pick up ram there. Just make sure that it is 240-pin for most recent machines. Video Card: Chances are if you failed this you have an intergrated video card. The first step is to determine if you have a PCI, AGP, or PCI-E slot open to put a new one in. The easiest way to find out is to go to powerleap.com and use their system scan, it will tell you what you have. Picking a video card then is easy, this is what I'd suggest for a cheap card: PCI - $38 AGP- $20 PCI-E - $20 Hopefully this will help those and reduce the need for all these extra threads. If you have any questions feel free to say so. [hide=For Macs] [/hide]

That kid that went to your school.
what a [bleep]ing coincidence, I just read this thread today on SA. *hmmmm* Anyways, I was trying to think of one and then it finally hit me. That kid for me was Kevin. Kevin I knew in middle school. Now, I didn't exactly hang out with the coolest crowd, however I had my great group of friends and we stuck together. Kevin had just moved here (or something, I don't know) and one of my friends introduced him to us during lunch. Now, he was a pretty big guy -- not really fat, but tall and built. After talking to him a bit he wondered if he could get any of our numbers, you know, to talk to us later. Well being the person I am I told him mine. He would usually end up calling every day while watching Dragonball Z. While I did watch it after school ([bleep], I was 12 dude) he seemed to watch it religiously. Anyways, we'd talk for a bit and that'd be it. Well I went over to his house one day to stay the night. To paint the situation he lived in a trailer which was, of course, in a trailer park. His family was poor, I don't think his mom worked and they were quite religious. Now, you might start to be thinking "well, he seems like a normal guy" .... well, yeah. He told me about this thing that he belived in called "Chi". Being the stupid kid I was, of course, I kind of followed along for a bit. Apparently it was exactly like the [cabbage] they did on DBZ, just a lot less intense. There was tons of webpages online just dedicated to this [cabbage], so we checked them out. Anyways he decided that we could, you know, "train" for it. Well I went along mostly because it sounded kind of fun, but also just because I was slightly curious. Well of course it didn't really work, but when you think that something will happen, well, your brain kind of makes it happen. Fast forward a bit and we were outside just kind of messing around. He stops me and says that he sees demons around. Of course I just think he's joking so I play along with the idea. Thank god it was night because, well, we looked like [bleep]ing [developmentally delayed]s. The problem, of course, is that I was just kind of having fun and he thought this [cabbage] was real. After I moved away to Germany I pretty much just stopped talking to him for the most part. He talked to me now and then (very rarely) about what was going on with his family, or whatever. I don't remember any of it but just the fact that a lot of it was pretty normal [cabbage] trailer-park type drama. No clue what he's up to now though. Another story about Kevin though is how he got expelled from school. Apparently he joked that he was going to stab his teacher, announcing it to the class. This was right around the time when people were really uptight about the school shootings going around so he was out of there pretty quick. Weather or not it was an actual expulsion or not, I don't know. All I do know is that he didn't come back to school. Trying to think of "that kid" during high school and I'm kind of coming out empty, however. I really didn't know that many crazy characters, or at the very least I have blocked them out of my mind. Well, there was one kid in my high school who was an ICP fan (Jiggalo or w/e). He was pretty odd. Maybe I'll think of more later.

2 more Tecmo Employees Sue Tecmo
http://www.dsfanboy.com/2008/06/17/all- ... ing-tecmo/ All 300 employees suing Tecmo Or, at least, representatives of all 300. As hard as it may be to believe, Team Ninja's departure isn't the worst thing to happen to Tecmo this week. The two executive officers of their labor union have filed a class-action lawsuit against the company, claiming, as both Tomonobu Itagaki and Team Ninja (reportedly) have, that Tecmo owes them unpaid wages. Evidently, Tecmo used an illegal "flexible hours" pay scheme that denied employees overtime. We would imagine that if Tecmo has to pay all these lawsuits out, they're done. It puts the future of their upcoming games -- Tecmo Bowl Kickoff, Monster Farm DS 2, the Rygar Wii port, and the Mighty Bomb Jack revival that only existed in our minds anyway. Beyond that stuff, it's sad to see such a classic game company on its way out, and it's terrible for all those employees whose jobs may be over (though perhaps they'll end up moving to a company who pays them). Tecmo's response to Famitsu states that they have (coincidentally) phased out the flexi-time this year, and that they were "consulting with an external specialist to ensure compliance with labour laws" while devising their systems. The Tecmo rep said that the company had discussed the unpaid wages with its employees in April, and that Tecmo was "currently calculating those unpaid wages." Good to see that they are all leaving. Hopefully Team Ninja will simply reform elsewhere.

Death Note
I enjoyed it when I watched it earlier this year. Pretty much rewatching the series as well on [AS] as they come on dubbed. Code Geass (comes on after death notes on [AS]) I've found to be pretty good too. Kind of feels like a death note with big mechs. Maybe not as smart but still a good show from what I've seen so far.

Runescape HD -Need more help with gfx card + RAM-
Alright, try this. (1) Download CPU-Z (2) Run it (3) Go to the "motherboard" tab and take a screenshot, then post it here. I'm assuming that it has an integrated video card, and even if the machine doesn't have a model number (or is out dated) the motherboard should. Reason I'm asking is your report doesn't list the motherboard make, only what bios. ps: this is odd

Not sure about the trees in this one. The pitch black behind them looks kind of odd. The mountain is wonderfully done and sky is great too. I would change up text though.
