nobody on even /b/ thinks the memes are funny, you clearly don't know what you're talking about and need to calm down. You sound like an old man calling every teenager satanic because Radiohead is popular. Oh and let me guess, you went an a ranting spree when 2 girs 1 cup was popular. "Stop laughing! This is not something to joke about! This is just sick!" No, I didn't? As I said (and you seem to have missed) "The gore stuff doesn't phase me". It doesn't stop me from thinking that the level of 4chan "humor" is pathetic and unfunny though. And I've been to /b/ and all it is is a bunch of [bleep]s shouting "MOAR PLZ" or any other meme they can think of. I didn't actually find anything funny.

I do probably think that, at least in the mid levels, they'll get a bit of tweaking done to them. However honestly from what I've heard from other ToS they even out respectfully at 80. And by no means was doing stuff such as killing that high level guardian, or soloing that elite "easy". Hell, the elite took me probably 10 minutes and a lot of potions. If I screwed up I woulda died hardcore. And I've seen a lot of horrible ToS that don't know how to play the class that, quite simply, I can dominate. So I don't think we'll get hit that hard. ps: casters can rape my [cabbage] if they know that standing next to me is a bad idea.

Getting a new Graphics card... (answered, - close)
The cards I would recommend are: For low games, like Half life 1 / CS 1.6 or even playing source games on decent settings I would recommend a 6600GT. Really cheap. For a bit more mid priced option I would recommend a 7900GS. This should be good for most modern games as long as you have a decent processor/RAM although it'll play new games probably on low/medium details. For some heavier gaming, considering you have the rest of a rig to run it, I would recommend a 9600GT. Quite cheap and mine allows me to run Age of Conan (one of the most demanding games on a GPU right now IMO) on all highs. The reason why I skip the 8800GT is I can't really justify spending another $40-50 on what is a small FPS boost (like 3 fps maybe). Of course all of this depends on what your doing and what your PC is like. If you're running an ancient AMD 64 processor or a pentium 4 or something like that a 9600GT would be a waste. ps: I am only speaking from a Nvida point of view, as I have owned all these cards in the past and they have served me very well. Hell, my little brothers machine (my old PC) could run Call of Duty 4 with a damn 6600GT in it. . However there are good ATI alternatives, and some may argue that in the lower range an ATI alternative may be better. However for the higher range (like 9600GT/8800GT level) I prefer Nvida.

Getting a new Graphics card... (answered, - close)
All graphics cards today are 3D ones, the only 2D ones I remember were WAAY back in the olden days. Yours should be able to handle runescape's load with their 'new' graphics. You are correct that you can not replace the video card in a laptop. What kind of games are you playing? It may be that there is simply no reason to spend money on a graphics card if all you are going to do is play runescape. However if you are playing some more demanding games post your specs on the desktop you wish to upgrade and how much you'd be willing to spend on a video card.

Yeah, it's 256MB it's just that your onboard video takes some of the memory. The reason why I'm WTF is that the bare minimum requirement for XP is 128MB of RAM. I don't know how you get by with that much. :o

Yeah it was, whatever. The gore stuff doesn't phase me but it doesn't change the idea that 4 chan sucks. Apparently to be funny all you have to do is post some gore picture and use an overused meme.

Runescape HD -Need more help with gfx card + RAM-
@ Devnull, I'm fairly positive that unless he were to be running Vista (Aero theme) (and, he isn't) running windows won't take any extra resources away from the video card.. The ram, however, there is no reason not to have a gig or more these days. (2GB really). @ OP: Can you right click on your desktop, go to properties and then "settings" and tell me what it says under "display"?

Woah. Are you saying you dislike the porn on /b/, yet you don't seem to object to any of the actual sick [cabbage] that goes on there? Porn is the least of anyone's worries in /b/.

Do you have an AGP, PCI or PCI-E slot?

Am I reading it correctly that you only have 256MB of RAM? (well 196 after it uses some for onboard video). Anyways, your motherboard supports 240 Pin, in which case I would strongly recommend THIS RAM, 2GB. You'll see your performance skyrocket. To be honest I don't know how you're dealing with that amount of RAM unless I'm looking at the picture wrong. (don't speak that language).

I would just stick out with guardian if you're enjoying it. ToS even out at 80. Seriously though, stick with what yah enjoy.

My tempest of set can take on around 4-5 (maybe 6-7) melee mobs at once without much of a problem. I could take on like 20 [bleep]ing mobs that are blue/green to me, but usually I can only get a max of like 12 around me. Oh and I take down my AoE packs in about 10-20 seconds depending on the level. Lower ones I take out in like 10 seconds, higher up might take longer. And active block is different from the shields system. You hold X and it's essentially like blocking in a fighting game -- you take much less damage with it on and parry/block a lot of hits. While it doesn't let you block magical attacks it's damn useful. As a ToS it's saved my [wagon], I even have killed a lvl 51 guardian at level 32 because of it. Active block + heals ticking + storm field running (passive AoE that does great dmg) is win. I swear I'm going to get my class nerfed though. Soloed a 51 guardian 1v1 at 32, I soloed an Elite boss mob at 32 and constantly AoE 8-10 mobs at once. I've also done plenty of 2v1, 3v1 fights and came out victorious. Oh and I kill everyone, don't even care anymore. My K:D is 245:81

It should be in the menu options on the monitor. [bleep] around that a bit and see if you can't find anything.

you can get a 1GB of RAM for as low as $21. A 2 gig stick might go for $45 or so. Keep in mind that if you're using a 32bit OS you're limited to roughly 3.5GB or ram. If you post what kind of model your PC is I could help pick out the correct RAM for you.

There's a big difference between porn and the [cabbage] that pops up on /b/. Case in point I saw a picture there once of a person stomping a cats head with a shoe. Anonymity, especially to the extent 4chan does it, brings out the worse in people. How do they know if they're Anonymous?

Your motherboard has a slot (pretty easy to recognize) for RAM. It's really just snap it in and go, no cords or anything difficult needed. Make sure it is the correct pin type, however. No :geek: .

What is the first thing you did as a legal adult?
Really in America there isn't much you can do 'legally' at 18. I mean, sure, I could buy cigarettes but I don't smoke -- and I couldn't buy lotto tickets but those things are a waste of money. I think I may have seen an R rated movie but nothing special.

You are the first person to come up with the idea of shortening "version" into v. anyways, v1© is the best, but that isn't saying much. It's much too busy, the background is bland and the focal is pretty tiring.

People can just use "Path of Asura" for this though, on a 30m CD as well. Only useful thing about this is you could have it set up to a place that your path isn't, but not that great. Oh and I've been loving Active Block (hold X). My tempest of Set just rapes with it.

What ticks you off most in a video game?
Yeah, nothing worse than a poorly designed boss battle. Oh, you didn't know that you have to do [insert stupidly complicated combo]? I love a good difficult fight though if it isn't just stupid.

Really small text on tip.it
He actually knows how to do that, I think what he wants is to change TIF's font size while leaving other sites alone. (and I guess not have it change every time).

What Are You Doing Now, Lifewise.
I just got out about a month ago from my first (real) year of college. Doing a Graphic Communications degree that is a lot of fun. Of course, all of my graphics classes (had a photoshop class first semester) I've already known everything. While I did learn a new program in a layout class for the most part it's pretty funny how much a person can self teach themselves. But still it's a lot of fun. Summer wise I'm doing my summer job now, which is helping with the web design for SAME (Society of American Military Engineers) which isn't bad. $10 an hour, 40 hours a week and I'm learning quite a bit as well -- pretty good deal. Other than that I'm thinking of getting an apartment this next school year with my friend.

Dual input VGA/DVI Cables
What kind of monitor are you using mega? If it has two slots in the back (like a VGA + DVI) you could probably just get a VGA/DVI cable for the Wii. At least on my monitor I have my 360 hooked up through the VGA side and my PC through the DVI side. All it requires is a simple menu change on the monitor to change output.
