Well, the 9600GT is $140 or so and a pretty good choice. I'm assuming you have a PCI-E slot, since it's one of the dual core pentiums it looks like. Not sure if your CPU would bottleneck a 9600GT though.

edit: yeah rethinking it, it's prob fake. Plus I very much doubt they'd choose those DT songs.

I'm one of those guys who likes to have everything "plain". Problem is, of course, is that even if you say it loud and clear some Fast food workers simply can't understand the idea behind it. One time at wendy's I ordered it plain, was on the ticket and everything. Ended up getting my burger with no tomatoes / ect. on it, but then GLOBBED with ketchup and mayonnaise. Ugh. Another time me and my roomate were driving through Wendy's. I asked for a "Plain baconator" and there was a pause. "Do...do you still want the bacon?" No, of course I don't. :| Also, a somewhat... odd question. Is it illegal to go through a drive through in reverse? Me and my roomate wanna try it and see what kind of reaction we'd get.

Yeah it will. I use a 22" wide and 17" flat at home and it works out. The only thing is if, on the larger monitor, you're moving your mouse to go to the other the mouse will seem to "jump" because of the resolution difference. However it's never been a problem.

Another question here; Are you sure this will work with my comp and be compatible with my motherboard and whatnot? Yes.

Try the drivers. If all else fails it's probably just them having problems on their end.

Also it may be wise, if you can stretch your budget a little bit, to opt for a better motherboard. This one had some good reviews and seemed solid on newegg, but I don't have much experience with various motherboards. The upside is that with the core2duo (easily OC'd) and HD4850 you can run pretty much anything you throw at it. I know ATI isn't a choice a lot of people choose these days, but the HD4850 pretty much rapes the 8800GT, and IIRC, does better than the 9800 in benchmarks too.

I had an inactive account for 6 months and 2 days and everything was still intact when I reactivated it. is it wrong to roll on (and subsequently get) gear thats worse than yours, than like 10 other people genuinely need, purely because it looks nice? I rolled on t4 shoulders in a gruul PuG and won, and had a ton of angry people spamming me for about half an hour. :lol: Pretty dick move, but it's a PUG so who gives a [cabbage]. :thumbup:

Speaking of Canadian's, I read a poll yesterday from Microsoft that had 1 in 5 canadian men admitting they game nude. Well, I thought it sounded about* right. *fake edit: aboot.

GH:WT I see the point, since it's going to the same Rock Band model and going further and adding the ability to add extra content. Plus, and I may be the only one, but I much more enjoy Guitar Hero III's song list than Rock Band (excluding DLC). I may get GH:WT and split the cost with my roomate, it depends on what songs it has. They really need to focus on just "song packs' though instead of entire new games. Doesn't even need to be DLC, just make it something like GH:Aerosmith or some [cabbage]. Unless Rock band 2 has some great new features I certainly won't get it. I admit I've had a lot of fun in the first Rock band with my little brother/sister, but I didn't buy it. :P

Just a gimmick so they stand out.

I remember trying to play Duke Nukem 3D over the modem, never did work though. I think the first game I played online though was Diablo a bit after it had came out. Was maybe, I dunno, 98 or so? I can't remember when we first got internet but I remember not using it much until I started to play Diablo with my friends over the modem -- good times. I think shortly after that I played TFC for a bit. I also do remember stumbling upon runescape one of those times (because my parents wouldn't pay for me to play ultima online) and playing it for like, 4 months. This was back when there was something like 3 worlds, open PvP, ect. Long story short I thought I was the [cabbage] with my full iron set I begged (I was like 11) so I turned on the PvP active thing. Got PKed, dropped all my gear and quit the game for a number of years. It wasn't really until I moved to germany and got DSL/Cable (I forget which it was) that I started using the internet more though.

Not bad. I do seem a bit more drawn to the sunset though then the 'lil guy.

My god my eyes they burn. Scrape this thing immediately and go back to the basics of design. Or, at least get rid of the damn tree picture -- why would you ever have something so complicated as a background?

I'm in [The Family Buisness] which is made up of members from Burning Blade on WoW (so I knew a lot of people there already). We're starting to open recruit simply because we lost a lot of people, but we still have a strong core group of guys. Well, that's what you get for rolling PvE. :P Cool sluggy. Just so you know, ganking goes down a lot once you get past white sands. Lot of kids there. Of course it's still there, but it's easy to avoid if you know what you're doing.

Well, I have a 9600GT and it doesn't have ambient -- so go figure. Also my 6600GT, as I said, had a broken fan on it. Of course I noticed it quickly when I started up a game and it just skyrocketed up and caused all sort of artifacts. And, honestly, don't ask me how it sustained the temps it was at -- it was ungodly hot. I agree that he needs to look in the case or tell us what make his computer is. The only real info we know is what his video card is, unless I missed something big in that past thread of his.

That doesn't really make sense. Why would you, esentially, get a new monitor and everything else every 4 years? Seems more like a waste of money than anything. Unless you're really trying to save space, or want your computer to look "sleek and stylish" get a normal desktop + monitor.

I enjoy that too. Sure, gear from what I understand can help once you get epics @ 80, but it's not something that is going to decide most matches either like WoW. The HoT system really was brilliant though. I know a lot of people in PvP beta (cap of 20) were really afraid of it. However it turned out to work out incredible. Because my heals are HoT based I don't have to SPAM HEAL LOL and instead can actually DPS. Imagine that, a hybrid based class that plays like a hybrid! Plus, as I said before, group PvP is a much more fun experience with HoTs. The big thing as well is that the cone AoE HoT (bigger one) doesn't stack save for other classes, so healing doesn't get overpowered. Plus each classes "big heal" has their own little debuff CD that is placed on a player, so they can only get a big heal each minute. It's great.

Well, the 8800GT is a pretty powerful card. Following up on what others are saying though I'd put my bet on Overheating or not enough power going to the card. It would be really nice if you could maybe see if the fan is even working on the card first. On my old 6600GT the fan stopped working and would cause graphical glitches. While I've never heard of the Purple screen of death it might be a cause. IIRC not everything has one for ambient. I know my machine really only has a sensor for the HD/CPU/GPU, the ambient always comes up with a garbage number like -68. anyways, I would download speedfan and look at the cards temperature black. Other than that maybe just make sure what PSU you have. Or, to make it easier, what is your PCs model? Maybe I could look up what the PSU in it is.

Shadowbane is crap though so it doesn't matter. :P (lol). But, seriously, Vista is the way to go. Especially if you want to upgrade later vista 64 is an awesome choice -- being able to have more than 4GB of ram is a great thing. Dell isn't bad, aside from obviously costing more than doing it yourself. I haven't had experience with HP in forever, however, so yeah. My roomate uses a Dell XPS though that has worked well for a year now.

On my old Razr I could just type in an email address instead of the phone number for a text, and it sent it to my email. I'm certain this'll work for your phone as well.
