Yup. Adobe wins out even if a student pirates their software as opposed to using something like GIMP. Also just look around for a crack, not a full torrent. I'm not sure how technical I'm really allowed to get here though.

Gun game is pretty much taken directly from a Counter Strike server mod. Really fun concept, would be cool.

Did absolutly nothing today since one class was canceled and one doesn't start until the 7th. Just eating some cereal now and then going to bed. Have my longest day (in terms of classes) tomorrow. 10:00-12:00, then 1:00-2:00 then a night class like 6:30-9:00. Upside is then thursday I have no classes and Friday I have 2.

Just do it. Funny that your teacher recommended it though. Seriously though it is a pretty standard thing to do. Adobe knows that people pirate it which is why the software can be so pricey. The fact is Adobe's customers are college campus's, design firms and freelance artists... not someone just learning the ropes. The major thing with the price isn't the software its self but the license for it. I'm a 4th year Communication Graphics student and still am running a pirated copy of the software. (btw just download the trial off of adobes site, at least gives you 30 days free and a fast download) I know it might not be morally right but honestly aside from checking into a student discount you don't have much of an option. Going with a different software, such as GIMP, will really only hinder you later on if you choose to pursue graphic arts. (Since you will need photoshop). Also Corel DRAW is for an entirely different purpose.

It's that same rationale though as "oh only $15 for a map pack? Well it was $10 before so that is only $5 more!". It's not a big deal but the price also isn't the thing that is the issue. The issue is them upping the price for no real reason other than they know people will pay for it still.

More like blame kids spending too much of their moms money >_>. Either way this price hike doesn't effect me as I don't use nor pay for live. If for some reason I want to play an online console game I play it on my PS3.

Actually ended up deactivating my account today. I find it dumb you can't actually delete anything though. It wasn't due to privacy concerns by the way. I just found I got nothing out of facebook and never used it. Figured I would just deactivate the account so people didn't think I was just ignoring them. Still I don't really agree with how facebook is dealing with things.

Not a dig at you but ****ing Christ is that worse than I could have ever imagined. I couldn't listen to the entire thing :/. Granted not sure what I expected as I really dislike both bands but meh... that does not work together at all.

Seriously though I'm not sure how I forgot about Arkham Asylum and Uncharted 2 when making my list. Those two games were easily top 25 worthy. Really looking forward to the second Arkham Asylum :D.

Make sure to learn CSS early too, otherwise your HTML will suck. It's not *too* complicated, the basic tags are easy but when it comes to creating layouts and more complicated things then it starts getting difficult. Yeah it's really not too difficult. Didn't do too much today. Went down to the Casino to meet my grandparents for lunch. Afterwards gambled a bit with my roomate, ended up being up $50 so not bad.

Some great games on there. Oh and you really should play Uncharted 2, it's an incredible game. lol you're dumb.

This story did not end the way I expected it to end. Meh, they were annoying highschool girls. They looked like 16. After having my hand burnt I left quickly because the sauna made it worse. Isn't the water just room temperature ? Unless you were burned by the steam ... I'm guessing he was burned by the steam. Another day another day of classes. Sadly cost is still an issue I think. I mean look at how much it costs for a small shuttle that holds a few astronauts with very tiny living compartments (think a submarine). Now imagine having to make something that would not only have a simulated gravity inside (can't really have childbirth with no gravity) but also be large enough for multiple families and be large enough to create a constant food supply... yeah.

Heh yeah, SHODAN is just [bleep]ing evil. The twist as well (which Bioshock later reused) was incredible. But yeah its just the fact that she is always present, always there that is so crazy. Some bosses and villains you see maybe twice before doing one big showdown with them. SHODAN you encounter throughout the entire game.

The fact that Treyarch is doing what they can do regain lost PC customers (even if it is just a marketing gimmick by Activision) is great.
