I was combat 53, got it by merchanting and mining coal around August 2004

Chaos elemental--went out to wilderness and everyone was out there, half of them pking half of them killing the CE. I ran around looting all the death piles and got 5 black d'hide bodies 8-) Daggonoth Kings-- I was killing blue drags for fun, update came out and I got together some friends (highest was combat 99) and we charged the Kings. 2 people died on the way there, 4 got to kings. 2 died there, 1 got ring of lifed, and I teled with 14 hp left. Then hunter, farming, and construction just because they were new skills.

2 whips, 1k pure essence, and a clue from abbies was my best. Kind of off topic: Just got over a dry streak of 21 abby tasks without a whip yesterday 8-)

Only had 2 items in over 150 trips, karils coif and ahrims staff, so I guess the staff would be my best... I'm not the luckiest person when it comes to barrows.

As much as rares are "ruining" the economy, they are needed in a game like RuneScape. Take stakers for instance, they can easily make over 2.1B gp, the cap on items. In order to still keep getting more money, rather then just staying at 2.1b and not being able to keep anymore, they invest in rares which are basically the equivalent of a check or gift card in real life. As for the pures, I don't thing Jagex has much of a problem against them themselves, but due to all the complaints that they get from all the "mains", they have to take action somehow. I don't mind pures in general, it's just gets really annoying when a pure walks up and start a conversation to the point of Him: HAHA I have 99 str too and im 50 lvls lower Me: That's nice Him: Guess what I can hit as high as you, u noob Me: If that's true, want to fight? Him: No it'd be unfair you have def Me: Why not get defence then? Him: Because I can own anybody as it is Me:... I'm guessing that people hate pures because the majority of them take on the wilderness attitude of "I can beat anyone I want, and if they happen to beat me then they got lucky", instead of hating them for the stats they actually have.

Not everyone has their miscellanians working for maples, I've had mine getting herbs and coal for a couple months. Herbs so I can raise herblore and coal to sell (it makes money too) or to make some steel/mith. As for the shortage of seeds, people will continue to get maples from miscellania for the nests and firemaking/fletching experience regardless of losing money, so there isn't much to worry about

I've never noticed those sleeves on the top before; are those only on male characters or are they from the helms? Time to complete the set again... It waas just changed today.

Here's the ranger void knight helm, doesn't look as good as mage in my opinion. just a little outside break then onto that melee one.

Ironically, the only time i've been scammed is from a rl friend, when I lent him a santa to merchant with and he got scammed (When i was over at his house he proved it by showing me his bank). I've also let 2 of my friends try on my phat in the last 3 months, but both of them have given it back.

i have to say gratz, and nice work. gl on range and malee :thumbsup: can you meybe try and make the ultimate set with it. like master wand, mage arena book, god cape, seers ring and infinity boots. or range one with rune x-bow/C bow with ranger boots, ranger ring, accumater ect. =D> I don't have the money for it at the moment (got bored one day and spent it on over 70 barrows items that nobody ever wants), but when i get the money i'll test it out.

looks a bit like a slayer hood from above.i know someone will say im blind it looks nothing like it but i thought that it did.also have they updated the look of the torso because it has sleeves now?still want the melee helm. now someone get the range one. I'm working on it as we speak

When training slayer, I deliberately hop to an empty world so that when I cannon it won't irritate anybody. It gets really annoying when people who log in after I do try and flame me about having a cannon and telling me to hop worlds.

I can't concentrate on skills for very long unless I know it'll all be worth it in the end. Agility was boring, but I knew the faster run regaining and more shortcuts would be worth it. Runecrafting on the other hand, offered me nothing I couldn't buy already, and althought fast money, I have other methods. Basically, I don't have ADD, but if there's a lack of motivation I give up shortly.

It seems like jagex's theme for this month is updating old and boring things to make everyone want them (dark beasts, iron dragons, antifire sheilds, crossbows, etc) instead of big new things.

I spent 5 days killing 1.1k iron dragons with no visages, not even a dragon drop -.- before I finally decided to get back on track with slayer. Had a friend who got one in less then a half an hour of killing irons though, sold for 30m.

some things ive been asked: "what's a lag?" "what magic lvl do you need to use a msb?" my friend got "what lvl firemaking do you need to start cape on fire, nobody will tell me"

In my opinion, I don't think it's as much of a RS status symbol as it is a personal status symbol. I walk all around the world of RS seeing people with fire capes who are way lower combats than me, and I don't think much of it because its common. When I daydream about me having one, however, it seems like a big accomplishment, because I've gotten to jad 11 times so far and still no cape. People can pay other people to get fire capes for them, and they might enjoy just having it, but I've refused help because it wouldn't mean much to me if I walked around with a cape I didn't deserve.

I don't have any solid proof, but my friend and I logged in around the same time, went to reds for about 20 mins, found out they didn't drop it, and headed off to iron drags and he got visage about half an hour later. I've asked him twice since then, and he says he didn't talk to Osiach beforehand.

I'm currently camping there and there's only 1 other person on my world, it's clearing out pretty fast now that the majority of the people killing them are getting discouraged and quitting. I got my first one after approximately 12 hrs of killing, and I've been killing for probably around 25 total with no second bow.
