  1. You have to keep in mind what era RuneScape is in. It's midevil based. In those times, if I saw someone walking around wearing a crown, I would probably bow down at his feet because he was most likely a king. On the other hand, if someone saw me walking around walking around in a chicken outfit, I would probably be tarred and (re)feathered by the guy and his friends. Also, people like "cool" items. Partyhat-A crown (passed the cool test) Scythe (and the grim reaper hood coming up)-spooky (passed) Chicken Outfit-Hooray, I can pretend to be a chicken for easter? (fail) I'm not going to go through all the rares, but you get the point.
  2. A lot of people grew up playing capture the flag, so when they see castle wars, it's a nice minigame that everyone knows how to play. Fight Pits is just mindlessly kill whoever you want, or join up with a team and slaughter everyone. Basically the wilderness where everyone is in really good gear.
  3. Very nice. That's going to be in less than 2 months (even with basically the same grats messages \ ) Also, nice loot.
  4. Skill capes have changed the game a whole lot. Slayer has always been my favorite skill, but I doubt I would have ever gone past 90 if skill capes had never come out. I respect people who go for the cape because they like the skill, yes even fletching, I really liked the skill about a year and a half ago, so I got it as my first 99, but I don't respect them if they want it to show off, or so they think they have permission to look down on others.
  5. Yeah, it seems to hold true with me too.. At irons, clues come with darts, at abbies clues come with coins, etc.
  6. Slayer has always been my favorite skill since I became p2p. It was the first skill my friend suggested when he was showing me around the p2p world. Less than 2 months until I can have the (in my opinion) best looking cape on my back
  7. I agree the 1 minute deathpile isnt very good, especially while Boss killing. But the item sharing owns for teams. Why? All players participating in the drop act like its only one person doing damage on the monster. Meaning, if you have 2 people in a lootshare, and 1 who isnt, killing KQ, the ones in lootshare will almost ALWAYS get the drop, as both lootshare team members hits are added up as if it was only one person's hit. Thing being said, it makes it so teaming with partner Boss Monsters is a bit safer in the fact of drops, as the larger team will always get the drop. On the note of the 1 Minute Death Timer: I believe there is a very logical way to fix this. How? Teamloot share. Friends on your teamloot should be able to see your deathpile right away, while other people have to wait 60 seconds in order to see the pile. 1) This assures most/all of your items will be picked up by teammates 2) Random people cant just run in and lure boss monsters and hope for people to die, and then steal there stuff right away. I think this addition would solve 99% of the problem, if not make it 10x better than it was before. Not to mention it would further encourage people to use the teamloot options. Another idea for the death pile update, is to have a toggle option. Similar to accept aid, you can turn it on if you want to have the 1 minute wait, but if you turn it off your loot will appear right away (This wasn't my idea, I got it from my friend's RSOF thread). As for lootshare, I can imagine it being useful for all of the untrustworthy teams set up on forums, but with most friends, you don't really need it. Also, I don't quite understand what would happen in some circumstances. ex. if a team is killing a boss, and a random person comes up and does the most damage out of anyone, but doesn't do more than the whole team total, does he get the drop? or will it never give him the drop because he's not using lootshare with the other team.
  8. Aww, you told me nobody was coming... Oh well, grats on the levels anyways, keep it up
  9. I started using the site around late 2004, made a forum account early 2006 and constantly browsed forums, but didn't register with my real rsn until April 2007
  10. If Jagex really did make the bosses harder, they would have to increase the drop rates of the good items by a whole ton, because unless you amassed like 50 people to go swarm the boss, you could only kill 1-2 bosses a round. As for me, I'm fine with it the way it is. Sure, the bosses aren't much of a challenge if you know what to do, but you can't slack off at all, miss one prayer on jad and you're basically dead. Forget to turn mage prayer on when fighting prime or melee when fighting general graardor, and you're basically a goner.

  12. Very good read, I like how the editor used actual examples (with golden eye). I always like a little competition but its also fun to work together as a team and feeling a sense of accomplishment.
  13. Only advice I could give is put cash at the top, and maybe put all forms of currency along with it, otherwise very nice bank and amazing organization
  14. Are prices different at the mage guild? I hadn't checked but I assumed it would be the same throughout.
  15. I was doing a black dragon task in world 2, some guy runs in (didnt see name or level). I didn't think much of it, but 30 seconds later I noticed he wasnt there, looked on minimap saw red dot, went over and looted Dragon boots, Neitiznot helm, Ring of Wealth, and a glory.
  16. They had them for about an hour, by which time there was about 5 people in each world buying them. Eventually Jagex stopped it and he just goes "Im running a bit low on supplies at the moment, try coming back later after I've restocked."
  17. Good Game... It's now going "I normally would, but I'm running a bit low on my stock at the moment" or something like that, I think Jagex already caught it.
  18. Nice blog and good luck on 99 con  I also have to add that you're not bad at pking :-w
  19. "Rarer than a left half from a skeleton" Oh, well I know they said "rarer than a champion scroll from an imp" about something, I just can't quite remember what. Maybe chain from a dustdevil? Doesn't really matter actually. I'm not positive, but it could've been the rarity of getting a dragon chain from cashing in barbarian assault points (too lazy to look it up, but i remember Jagex saying that also). Anyways, this doesn't really convince me, because then I'm not sure if I read this right, but it looks fishy to me.
  20. In my opinion, bubbles sounds a little too innocent, so even though the virus maker probably used the name so people wouldn't think it was so bad, it probably still drew caution due to it having such a weird name.
  21. Yeah, I've been getting black demons a lot more too, but like others have said, it's not a bad thing. I just whip out my dharoks and cannon, and get really fast slayer xp for the next couple hours.
  22. Like the people above have said, Godwars just came out, give Jagex time. But if you ask me, we need old skills updated before we get new ones.
  23. Even if he did fake it (which I doubt he did, because there wouldn't really be a point in doing so), it still raises a good challenge, and lets other try to beat his record. I would do it, except I can't spare the time away from my task.
  24. My guess would be because SwiftSwitch is hosted by it, and a lot of people use SS, so they get curious and go to zybez.
  25. Are you in a clan? Yes. If so, what clan are you in? Shadow Raiderz. Why did you join it? Friends, pking, a large community? Me and my friend wanted to start a clan made solely up of friends, so we made it. Would you ever quit the clan? Not unless everyone else quit first.
