Effectiveness and risk of various methods?
If you're the type of slayer who just dawdles around and tries to AFK the skill, you made the right decision by not using piety and super sets. I'd go as far as to say that you shouldn't even use combat potions (you'll save an extra 800-1,200 GP a task if you don't). Efficiency isn't really your cup of tea, and that's okay. You should use full rune to save money. Consider selling your whip and using a dragon scimitar, too (much cheaper). FYI, waterfiends are always profitable. Unless you're doing something completely wrong, of course.

Power Slaying?
Its important to note that prayer bonus does not work linearly. Having +30 prayer is exactly the same as having +20 prayer. You only need about +15 at the very least. BCP provides extra strength and prayer, hence why it's useful (though not worth the price tag if it would cripple your bank). When power slaying, you should always use a DDS or dragon claws for specs, and only use healing familiars in single combat zones. Are you certain about that? This is the first time in 5 years of RS ive heard that. I definitely notice a difference when using a +30 prayer bonus as opposed to +15. Until I can find info suggesting otherwise, I will stick with my statement. I agree with having offensive spec weapons, but if you are powerslaying and do not have summoning, you will need some sort of hp restorer. food is too old fashioned, but can be used. If you're power slaying you use a combat familiar and an offensive spec weapon. Notice that I said +15 is the MINIMUM to use piety or turmoil. You'll notice a slight difference between +15 and +30, but no difference between +20 and +30 (I personally hover around +18). You will lol.. with 20 bonus you'll use 0.4 prayer point a second. (resulting in -at lv 70- 60 prayer doses an hour) with 30 bonus you'll use 0.333 points a second (resulting in 45 doses an hour) And that is using the formula I just tested for.. (which unsurprisingly was exactly the same as runewikia's) It's pretty interesting that you've just now tested this in game and came up with different results than I and other people have had.

I let my membership slip once since getting it in 2002. It doesn't bother me that I now have to pay a few more quarters every month.

Power Slaying?
Warped terrorbirds are a different matter. When I used to get them, I'd use a barrows platebody and still use piety because I felt that I needed the defense. With soul split, however, I'd just use a more prayer-friendly setup.

I'll probably switch to the Prom 2h now, as it's apparently what some pros use anyway.

Maxed combat
I lol'd at killing rabbits cause they deserved it. 14/10. I need to catch up with you. Good luck with MA. It's the least fun you'll ever have in Runescape. ;)

What is "Powerslaying"?
Completely agreed. This is for you, OP.

What is "Powerslaying"?
Sorry, I should've clarified that it does indeed profit in the long term, but I highly recommend doing farm runs so that a streak of bad tasks doesn't cripple your bank.
-
What is "Powerslaying"?
It really depends. If you do multiple farm runs every day, you can easily sustain it at any level. If you don't, you'll be hurting real quick. It gets easier and cheaper the higher your slayer level is (up to 93). You'll still use protection prayers on tasks you would normally use them on, like dark beasts, black demons, etc.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
You're one of those few players for whom the CLS might actually be the better option, but ONLY if you're really not going to be maxing out any time soon. If you get the CLS and get extremes and turmoil six months later, you'll have wished you got the rapier. Keep that in mind. I might be completely wrong about all of that, though. Take it with a grain of salt. However, if you plan on doing any slayer at all, the rapier is still much better.

What is "Powerslaying"?
Power slaying just refers to the art of slaying efficiently. The goal is to maximize speed and offense at the expense of your wallet. When power slaying, piety/turmoil, super/extreme sets, and combat familiars are always used. I highly recommend using a cannon, too, but many players find it to be too expensive nowadays. Your gear should have a nice balance between prayer bonus and strength bonus. You'll want anywhere from a +15 to +20 prayer bonus when using piety/turmoil. Anymore than +20 is overkill and any less than +15 is wasteful. A good, cheap example of this is a proselyte plate, fire cape, and Verac's skirt.

Tzhaar is a good place to train ranged and make a little cash. It's not the fastest exp, but it's an option.

Storyline to Nomad's Requiem?
The elite black warriors that attacked Nomad are the same exact elite black warriors that Lucien commands in WGS. This is irrefutable. Lucien, like all Mahjarrat, is talented at concealing himself and deceiving people. There is every reason to believe that he was just acting when he appeared to be weak. We happened to stumble upon Nomad before he had finished powering himself up, hence why we were able to beat him. You speculate that his former master could be Drakan despite the fact that there is literally zero evidence for such a speculation, yet you dismiss the idea that Lucien is the former master when LUCIEN'S MINIONS are shown attacking Nomad IN THE QUEST? You must be trolling. There's no other explanation.

Storyline to Nomad's Requiem?
Simple question: If Lucien has nothing to do with Nomad, why are his minions attacking Nomad?

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Oh, I have my settings such that I see 40 posts per page, lol. Let me just quote the post for you. I'll edit in a sec.

Crimson Charms
If you don't have a bunyip, don't bother with waterfiends. If you're willing to spend the money to burst rock lobsters, you should definitely do that. It's the best bang for you buck. Otherwise, dust devils are probably your best option.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Using turmoil and overloads with void, Bedman claims to three-hit them pretty often. You should read the post, it's pretty interesting. Sorry, where is this? http://forum.tip.it/topic/250660-big-barrows-analysis/page__st__40 Second to last post on page 2. There's a lot of really good information on that thread about barrows in general, too.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Any particular reason you seem to hold such a grudge against those who use the CLS. You act like it's the hands down worst weapon around, but lets face it, it's the most versatile. The raper is best a low def monster kill, while the Maul is better suited at high defence/weak to crush killing and PVP. The CLS is in the middle, often being the second best weapon to use at nearly any given boss. You seem to act like every CLS owner needs have their brain checked, and you try very hard to point that out in many many posts you've made in this thread. He explicitly said that he understands why people buy the CLS, but he doesn't like when people try to argue that the CLS is better than the rapier when it's not. Also, you're mistaken. The rapier is the best "all-purpose" weapon of the three. The rapier can do anything (except crush, of which the CLS is incapable of, too) effectively and most things VERY effectively. The CLS, however, can only do most things less effectively than the rapier, and very few things more effectively than the rapier.

Storyline to Nomad's Requiem?
I guess it's a little late to point this out, but you've ventured far into the realm of non-argument and circle talking. You're arguing that because there's an infinitesimal chance that Nomad was NOT working for Lucien, it must be the case that there could be any number of wild scenarios that explain why Lucien's minions attacked Nomad. You ARE playing Devil's Advocate, but you don't know it, and that makes you a complete imbecile. I distinctly remember Zaros being resurrected in Sheep Shearer. I have an excellent memory. Nothing you say can convince me otherwise. Prove me wrong. EDIT: I'd really love to hear what your idea of a "solid basis for speculation" is.
-
Storyline to Nomad's Requiem?
Are you playing Devil's Advocate on purpose? If you are, you're a pretty good troll. If you're not, you're an idiot. Surok's -- and by extension, Lucien's -- minions are FEATURED IN THE QUEST. Surok was trapped in a library by a guy who sells battlestaffs for a living, and you think that HE might be the former master trying to kill Nomad? You're clutching at air and failing.

Fishing levelling?
Well it sounds to me like monkfish would be best for you. Barbarian fishing isn't really great till level 70.
