Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
It really doesn't. From who have you heard this? It's a "friend of a friend" thing. Someone in my clan chat said that he's friends with some of the top dungeoneers, and they apparently told him that augury does increase magic damage.

This made me cry
I would guesstimate that the average age is below 16. My perception is a bit skewed though, 'cause I don't talk to anyone outside of the clan chat I use, and most of my friends are around 18.

Why do people wear skillcapes?
So . . . I'm right, but you're trying to downplay my point. Gotcha. But if you don't, it's useless. Actually, it does. You mentioned in your first post that skill capes are too common, and that you don't wear your construction cape because too many people (in your opinion) have them. This implies (and correct me if I'm wrong) that you enjoy prestige and e-respect. Well, sorry, but there are plenty of players who are much richer than you and have more party hats than you. I would think that this unfortunate truth would make your e-ego shrink in shame, but I guess not. I suppose you're like the level 120s slaying in full bandos who criticize the 135s slaying in proselyte with turmoil. Yeah, your armor is more expensive, but you're still the [developmentally delayed] in the room. By that logic, godswords are incredibly prestigious because I've had MORE level 70s ask me for a godsword than you've had 138s ask you for your party hat. I even get asked when I'm not wielding a godsword, which is always! It makes me feel cooler. u mad?

Why do people wear skillcapes?
Aside from dungeonerring (which I still consider it to be a relatively new skill) the rarest skillcape would be runecrafting which approximately 4,321 players have. If you think that many people own partyhats (especially by individual colors) then there's probably something wrong with you. I don't think it's a stretch to assume that a few thousand players own party hats. A lot of people hoard them, mind you. Also, Just because I bought a phat doesn't mean I am emotionally attached to it.... I don't literally go through some random videos complimenting on phats or any of that [cabbage]. I wanted to buy a partyhat so that I can make a safe investment on it and secondly, not everyone can own partyhats. A "safe investment" implies that you are going to sell your hat at some point in the future, but as of right now it's a useless paper hat. Skill capes, on the other hand, represent something useful. There will always be more players with max total, more players with lvl 99s or even lvl 120 skills but there will always be less players with partyhats. When I first started, I thought that green masks could NEVER reach the price of D chains because they were so cheap....and D chains were very expensive and sought after.....Now that I underestimated the capability of discontinued items, I guess I stand corrected. There are also players who have more party hats than you. UH OH GOTTA STOP WEARIN UR HAT NOW AMIRITE. I've had players from the upper lvl 2400s asking me to borrow my phat, and even people offered to give me ridiculous offers to borrow my phat.... This is bragging. Not relevant. Morningrise, you're more than welcome to criticize my for buying a partyhat which in your opinion, you count it as a complete waste of money. but I would appreciate it if you stop convincing me otherwise. This is a debate, not a personal matter. I don't care what you spend your GP on. Answers in bold. Your last point is incredibly funny, because you seem to be offended by my criticism of you owning a party hat. You make a thread criticizing other players for wearing a cape that they like and spent time and money on, but you can't don't like it when people criticize what you spent YOUR time and money on.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Off topic, but I've heard that augury actually DOES increase magic damage. Any truth to this? I wouldn't be surprised at all. The KB still says that the chaotic staff has a +15% damage bonus.

Why do people wear skillcapes?
very constructive post. wd  You have yet to offer any sort of rebuttal to any argument in this thread, yet you feel compelled to tell others that they're not posting constructively? Question: Do you own any party hats or wearable rares? If you do, why? There are much better alternatives available, so I don't see the point in spending hundreds of millions on an aesthetic item which offers no benefit to you other than making you feel cool. That's arguably much more [developmentally delayed]ed than wearing a skill cape, which, at the very least, is proof that a player has a skill that will actually help him/her somewhere in Runescape or Daemonheim. Disclaimer: The above is laced with sarcasm. I don't want anyone jumping down my throat thinking that I hate rares. I bought my phat because its DISCONTINIUED. I didn't purposely spend my money on them to look "cool". Seriously, where did you get that idea from? And I do have enough money to spend on whatever I can please tyvm. So you have an emotional attachment to your party hat. It has no utility other than being rare (though it is certainly more common than some skill capes, mind you). What's the difference between you buying a party hat because you like it and a player buying 99 smithing because he/she likes it? Also, your party hat's rising price becomes a null point if you don't sell it.

Post and discuss all Jagex Twitter updates here!
The update will be cool, but I'm not very excited because I know I wont be able to buy any of the good items. I'll have to rely on old fashioned luck, which hasn't been good to me in my nine years of 'scape.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
If rapier > whip, and whip is pretty accurate with semi-decent stats . . . :wall: Yeah and whip isn't the best thing for various bosses. Not anymore, no. CR took it's place (with the exception of solo sara and maybe solo bandos, but who does solo sara?).

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
I lol'd.

Why do people wear skillcapes?
Sorry, I should have clarified my point a little more: As implied in my first post in this thread, I don't believe that utility is the only reason to own or wear an item, hence why I don't believe that rares (or skill capes) are "useless," so to speak. But, yes, they are technically useless. I hope that makes sense.

New type of highscores
I don't see why I should be ranked higher than someone who has 30M slayer experience just because they haven't played in the past 12 months. My "true" rank is my rank on the all-time high scores. I don't like the idea. I would, however, like an option to sort the high scores in terms of experience rather than total levels.

Why did this never happen Andrew..?
We should be able to summon a Spirit Camel that holds 24 items. ;)

Favourite Runescape Soundtrack?
Zaros Stirs, most of the Dungeoneering boss songs, Horn of Frost . . . I forgot what else. The music has greatly improved in the past year.

is dungeoneering really a difficult 99?
That was a very interesting post. Anyway, Dungeoneering is definitely not one of the easier 99s in terms of exp/hour (for now). It's a lot like Slayer in that it's a slow and involved skill that everyone loves, so there are a lot of people with high levels in it. It'll become the best skill in the game when batch 2 comes out, IMO. Dungeoneering, slayer, farming, and summoning are all examples of extremely successful skills. Jagex should continue the trend with future skills.

max slayer points
I'm absolutely positive that it's around 49k points. I'm going to check the TSG forums.

Training Hunter
Red chins are practically impossible to hunt, so red sallys would definitely be better. Iceberg pengs are good, too.

When did you join?
My original Tip.it account was made in 2006 I believe. Anyway, I started in late 2001 or very early 2002. I was eleven years old. I'm twenty now. I mostly screwed around and took long breaks until 2006, when I got into the game seriously.

Skeletal Wyvern Task
You should consider skipping them, as they'll be difficult for your levels. However, piety and melee armor with a cannon and healing familiar is your best bet. Alternatively, bring a BOB full of food instead of the healing familiar. Though a bit slower, consider banking the bones, as getting back is quick with fairy rings.

max slayer points
It's somewhere around 50,000. Enrix E B maxed his out, but I can't remember what the exact number was.

Port Sarim Battle Axe FRAUD!
Cool story, would read again.

88 (and a green bird!)
I think it's funny that you have probably ten times the exp that everyone around you has, but no one knows.
