Been hopping around between skills and doing a lot of farm runs. I just can't force myself to train dungeoneering on teams anymore. I'll keep doing solo meds until batch 2 comes out, 'cause I'm [bleep]ing sick of world 117.

I don't know any godwars teams. There, should be fixed now. But in all seriousness, the whip was easily the best weapon in game for a very lengthy period of time, but has lost it's spark now for higher level players. You have to remember, the requirements of 80 attack and 80 dungeoneering aren't a joke for some people and that alot of people are awfully paranoid about the recharge cost of these items(which is uncalled for if you can make 600k an hour). And just to be clear, the whip is still, after 6 years, the second best training weapon game and is a major reason attack and defense hiscores can keep up with the strength ones. I refuse to believe that- even the lowly leaf-bladed sword does better than the whip at most dragons(greens and blues might be the gay area). I think you have gotten something horribly wrong, the whip is dreadful at irons/steels. [/hide] Regardless of what you conceive my godwars experience to be, pre-dungeoneering, it would be hard for a random player on rs forums to find a bandos or zammy team offering whip/rune def as attack status over a godsword. But, I will take Z spear over whip/def at dragons any day. Two things: 1) You lost me at RSOF. 2) Aside from Sara GWD, whip + defender + claws > godswords.

Well I'd have to disagree on the whip was the best weapon for boss hunting before chaotic... And as I get blue, black, iron, steel and mith dragon tasks (as well as other tasks that stab attack is better)... and I am more than happy to cancel fire giant, greater demon, and hellhounds... Yes, I do find myself using Z spear almost as much as whip while slaying. Whip was best for solo TDs, Bandos GWD, and Zamorak GWD. ZS was (and still is) best for Corp. Crossbows are best for solo Arma GWD and Sara GWD. Thus, whip was the best weapon for all relevant bosses.

I agree with this 100%. Quests aren't necessary for developing a high level character, but you'll be doing them eventually for the rewards anyway, so get them done now and reap the benefits when you're lower leveled. TRIVIA: When I first came back to Runescape in 2006, I got 1-40 thieving and agility from quests alone. 8-) I, too, think you should be farming all the time. You should also start working on achievement diaries, as you can make something like 100k profit a day from battlestaffs alone (ten seconds of work). After you've done all that (it should take awhile), I would recommend that you start slaying and working on dungeoneering. Due to effigies (among other things), slaying is irrefutably the best way to level combat, but you have to do it right. I recommend reading Zarfot's Mega Slayer guide on the RSOF. If it's not there, read MstrMonopoly's slayer guide in the AOW, which has a lot of great information for budding slayers. You should also be doing your weekly penguins and spending the points on prayer or herblore.

Well that can be debatable. When I slay, I find myself using Zammy Spear (underrated imo) almost as much as I do whip. It all depends on what you do. Boss hunting, pking, slaying, the whip fails to finish first in most besides slayer tasks. Regardless, it is a great weapon. I absolutely think it deserves it's 3.5m pricetag. I had just wondered why it decided to settle at that price. Before chaotic weapons, the whip was the best weapon for boss hunting, PKing, and slaying. If you're using your ZS almost as much as a whip on slayer tasks, you're either getting tons of dragon tasks or doing something very wrong.

Seems like it'd be much simpler to just be able to spend a large chunk of points for the maximum number of a certain monster that master assigns. For example, spending 200 points for a 200 ice wyrms task.

You have to remember, too, that in its category, the whip is second only to the chaotic rapier. The only other comparable item is a CLS, which only beats it on higher defense monsters/players. There's no reason for the whip to be any lower than 3.5m, really.

I do but it was suppose to be locked since i kept getting flamed over the inital spell choices. Ok i thought full ahirms would be good since they are massivly innacurate. Only had to wait until the second BTS to lose hope. In my opinion they should only announce updates that are done, bug-tested, and ready. I dislike that the updates they announce at the beginning of the month aren't bug-checked until a few days until the update. Guess I'd go with whoever suggested they take a month out and just get their act together. Honestly, I'd be for them taking a few months off of major updates, making some epic new content, and then releasing it. BTW: We wouldn't have a 7 page thread here if we had new content. Agreed, like expansion pack like updates. Those would be a ton better imo. I would be happy with this. It'd be cool to get one big chunk of ready-to-go, bug-tested updates.

I love them. There are certain skills that I absolutely hate to grind, so I've been saving my effigies for when I get higher levels in those skills. I've gotten most of mine from 97-99 slayer. I only wish they had come out when I was a much lower slayer level. I would be okay with increasing the rarity of them, though.

I completely agree. I would actually consider using fire surge at TDs if I could just right-click to cast. The modern spellbook would be so much more useful for certain types of combat.

Clue scroll updates and new, working graphics; or clue scroll updates and new graphics chock full of game-breaking bugs. I dunno, difficult decision. I'd rather know it's coming out and be disappointed when it doesn't come out on time than not know at all.

Like you play to start to have fun etc and feel good as you play but continue to play to relieve negative emotions for not playing. You're right. It's like that time I got into drinking fish tank water as a hobby. I became so addicted that I thought I enjoyed it, but deep down I really didn't. :( No you [bleep]ing moron, I play Runescape because it's fun and I like it. Why would I play if I didn't enjoy it? When it starts to get boring or dull, I take a break! It's called moderation - try it sometime.
