Hate to break it to you, but it takes me less than two hours to get a torso. A proselyte top + fire cape has less defense and prayer than a torso + SW cape (these are the third and second best plate/cape combinations for slayer, respectively), so I don't see how your comparison to a proselyte top is at all relevant. I'd really love to see the calculations that "prove" a torso to be only worth it if you're going to spend more than 200 hours slaying.

I always do a victory fist pump when I see an abyssal whip, staff of light, or dark bow on the ground. I laughed hysterically when I saw my first pair of solo claws appear. I laughed hysterically some more when the same thing happened a couple weeks later. I'd probably run around the block if I got a solo Arma or Sara hilt. I'd probably have a seizure if I got an FFA or LS'd divine sigil. The excitement is still there for me.

How the [bleep] do you figure an item that takes two hours (maximum, usually less) to get is only useful if you plan on slaying for 200 hours?

Hey, Bandos Chestplate may not be worth getting, but it's sure as heck more worth getting than a fighter torso, which is mostly just a waste of good BA points. Not everyone has access to a pro BA team, you know. And even if you do you're still better off filling a penance horn and using a Barrows/Proselyte platebody. (And if you do happen to have access to a pro BA team, can I join? W6 is a nightmare.) There are only three useful penance items, and the torso is one of them. What else are you going to spend your points on? It takes two hours to get a torso if you have full penance and know what you're doing. For slayer, a torso is the second best body armor available, so it's definitely worth picking up if you can't afford (or don't want to buy) a BCP. IMO, it's worth picking up the torso, fighter hat, and penance gloves IN ADDITION to filling your penance horn. If you're having trouble finding teams, get full penance and max out your roles. World 6 is home to both pros and noobs, and the pros find each other with full penance.

Yeah, there's a huge difference between the chaotic melee weapons and previous melee weapons. Not so with the staff and crossbow. EDIT: Furthermore, why does melee always get a huge array of weaponry in comparison to mage and ranged? Why are there four melee barrows sets but only one each of mage and ranged? Why three chaotic weapons for melee? Ranged could have the slow, accurate, one-handed crossbow and a fast, two-handed shortbow. Magic could have the staff and some sort of two-handed orb that has negative accuracy but a HUGE damage modifier. I think Jagex could have been more creative. Hopefully they balance it out with batch 2.

This. IMO, it's worth doing. Especially if you need mage exp.

The chaotic crossbow needs some serious improvement. The chaotic staff is probably fine. Maybe increase the accuracy a little.

I've already gone from 87 to 93 rc, want to bet on that claim? Yeah, had effigies come out when I was a low level player, I'd probably be in the 90s for runecrafting right now.

It's worth noting that you can pick items up without spending any extra time if you time it correctly. The charmchompa provides convenience; it doesn't save time.

You know what's much more useful than full Bandos and a DFS, wont degrade, and will always help in every combat situation? Turmoil. For the love of Zaros, please do not make the mistake of buying full Bandos at such a low combat level and without having both turmoil and overloads first.

Like others have said, it's very easy to make money in Runescape these days. All it takes is a lot of dedication and (sometimes) a little luck.

I don't see what the problem is. If someone starts following you, take them somewhere they don't want to go. My favorite place is the wilderness. Deep wilderness.

Level 2 men are better money than woodcutting. 3/10 for the pirate hat. Pirates are always cool.

I, too, have completely given up on w117 teams. Your method is fine, and you should do what Squareroot2 says, too. I've been doing mediums on all furnished floors in search of a night spider, though.

Its not so much how good it is, its how easy it is to get, and whips are very easy to get compared to similarly high leveled melee weapons. I mean, rune xbows are pretty much the best ranged weapon, yet there some ridiculously low price. Killing abyssal demons for 5 hours is not really easy, since in 5 hours of TDs I have just as good a shot at claws as I would of whip. The requirements for abbys are arguably lower. Plus theyve been around so long, which generally means the prices are lower than some of the newer weapons. Point is, the price of a weapon is not based entirely off efficiency, infact it rarely is. The requirements to access TDs are lower than that of abyssal demons.
