An Elitist's View on Crashing
This says it all. That OP is willing to spend hours and hours to a game does not give him more rights than someone who doesn't. And by crashing this person you don't give him the time nor ability to gain exp. efficiently like you once did. I never crash people and I never will, it's just sad and people who do crash make me cry. With crashing you only irritate other people, but if that is what you want... :? You have no idea what you're talking about. Your stats are sub-par and you've never hopped worlds over and over again looking for an open Graardor. What right do you have to harass and belittle players who often have no choice but to crash? You say you'll never do it, but if you ever decide to pursue MHing as a source of income or fun, you'll find yourself singing a different tune real quick. The hypocrisy in this thread is unbelievable. The OP has yet to flame anyone, yet you and others feel compelled to insult him and call him a bad person. You all talk about respecting other players and being moral and nice, but you always resort to flaming the people you demand respect from.

Psi's Road To Trimmed Completionist Cape
I like your idea of having an account outside of dangerous areas to bless in case you die. Bringing three chaotic weapons, arc necklace, and ranger boots to DKs would be really scary otherwise.

Chaotic Rapier or Chaotic Longsword?
Yeah, definitely get the rapier in that case. Besides, the only downside to using a rapier at Bandos is the possibility of being crashed by someone with a CLS or maul. That's not really likely to happen, though. GL Alex. ;)

How Do I Find a Good Barbarian Assault Team?
You have to tough it out and max your roles. Just be very selective with your teammates. The best way to get on good teams is to have maxed roles and full penance, of course. Pro teams are always in world 6. I definitely recommend watching a lot of youtube videos and getting your technique down as soon as possible. Make sure you know about QSing and suiciding. Really, the best way to get better and faster is to learn these things yourself and make your own teams. Personally, I got maxed roles and then met pro players on my way to full penance. They taught me stuff that I wish I had known before I met them. Would've saved me a lot of trouble.

Chaotic Rapier or Chaotic Longsword?
Link has no idea what he's talking about. His entire argument is essentially "CLS looks cooler and people who have rapiers are losers with toothpicks." I have my opinion on the subject (rapier), but you should definitely read the entire chaotic weapons thread. It's full of calculations and testimonies by owners of the weapons that all prove the rapier to be superior to the CLS in nearly every way. CLS is second best at everything with the sole exception of solo Bandos. Rapier and Maul both beat it everywhere else, definitively. If all you plan on doing is solo Bandos, get the CLS. If you plan on doing anything else, get the rapier. The most preferable option, however, is to get both the rapier and maul. Again, you should really read the whole thread. It's very eye-opening.

summoning. How combat related is it really?
@ the above post: When I was around 85-90 slayer, I would try my best to always use a combat familiar. I found that using an EE and bringing food usually allowed me to last an entire task without banking. Back then I used Guthan's plate, Verac's skirt, fire cape, 10% strength prayer, and a cannon (which was a pretty efficient way to slay at the time :D ). Soul split definitely changed that, though. Soul split allows you to maximize your offense without ever having to worry about healing. It makes using combat familiars much easier. It was kind of difficult to stay alive sometimes before I had it.

summoning. How combat related is it really?
Personally, I've had very few problems using the familiar interface. When you're below 95 summoning, it's as simple as setting the quick button to attack. It was a little tricky at first with the iron titan, but I got the hang of it. Now I can fully control a steel titan (it's special, what it's attacking, etc) without losing any time. It would be amazing if Runescape had a WoW type interface with all of my options right there on the screen. Using spells and familiars would be incredibly intuitive. As it stands, I don't have problems using it. It could be more intuitive, but that goes for the entire tab system that we currently have.

It's ironic, then, that you're being a much bigger ass than the OP.

summoning. How combat related is it really?
In regards to combat level, I'd want to know if my opponent was about to pull out a steel titan or a unicorn (I'd already know if they were using a yak). Thus, combat level should be affected by summoning. In regards to bashing people who mention the steel titan, you're right -- it's one familiar out of many good ones. Combat familiars become useful far before 99, but 99 grants access to the best familiar, obviously.

Runescape loading music
As far as I know, you can't turn it off, which is extremely annoying. I miss that button.

Runescape today
I agree. Even if Divine managed to catch back up towards higher end partyhats, I would refuse to trade my green for one because its simply not worth it. I heavily prefer the chaotic shield which can be obtained by leveling up a skill to 80 and/or earning 200k tokens from a skill....too easy.....Chaotic shields unique ability to reduce up to 10% melee and 20% range, having at least 30+ in every def bonus, and the attack bonus.... who wouldn't pick that over a prayer draining shield with the limited 30% melee drain and its mediocre stats? It's a 30% reduction to all damage, not just melee damage. It costs more to recharge the chaotic kiteshield than it does to buy more prayer potions for the divine. Thus, divine is superior in every way. There was a thread on this very subject. I'm kind of surprised that this thread hasn't been locked due to the idiocy of the OP's comparison.

99 Runecraft & 50m Combat goal
Didn't you LS a divine or two? Good luck on your goal. I think I'd rather slay than train runecrafting, too.

some hunter and prayer questions
If you have it, use turmoil on all tasks. If you don't, use piety on all tasks. The only debatable situations are dags and spectres. Your cannon is doing most of the work, so turmoil might be a little unnecessary. I use it anyway, though.

Tip.It Times - 1st August 2010
SirHartlar pretty much summed up my thoughts on these articles. The first article is another "state the obvious" deal and the second article is a guide to politeness that uses slayer as an example for some reason.

summoning. How combat related is it really?
Really? I absolutely love using a steel titan. It completely shreds everything in slayer. It 's not uncommon for it to kill monsters faster than I do.

summoning. How combat related is it really?
Tormented demons. Using a steel titan to kill them is what I'm referring to specifically. Combat familiars are useful for slayer once you can summon an overlord, but they become extremely useful once you can summon a geyser titan.

summoning. How combat related is it really?
Considering that you don't do much combat, it makes sense that you rarely see people using combat familiars. I started using combat familiars on almost all slayer tasks as soon as I could summon an overlord (which is a pretty low summoning level). Combat familiars are used at TDs to make 4-5M an hour. All efficient slayers use them. Combat familiars are my favorite aspect of summoning.

An Elitist's View on Crashing
It's the best way to make money via skills in Runescape. Sure, I could gear up for solo Graardor, hop a hundred times, give up and go craft some natures, but that's not a very good way to make money for that Divine I want. Like it or not, Runescape is an inherently competitive game. I don't have to compete, sure, but nothing gets done that way. Your argument that Jagex isn't literally forcing me to crash is easily countered by me contending that you aren't forced to play Runescape at all, so why should it even be a concern of yours? Crashing is going to happen, so let's discuss why it happens rather than how to avoid confrontation, which is impossible in the solo MHing world.

An Elitist's View on Crashing
You're completely missing the point. It has very little to do with an "entitlement complex." - There are a limited number of non-LS worlds. - There are thousands of players who want to use these worlds. You see the problem we have? We are FORCED to compete with each other. Like Bladewing said, if you're going to be mad at someone, be mad at Jagex for forcing us into these situations. No one who solo boss hunts regularly will tell you that everything is all fine and dandy and hopping for a half an hour is an acceptable course of action. Like I've said before, crashing is not personal. Crashers are not sociopaths, bullies, or whatever other demeaning title you want to assign to them. They're just playing Runescape the way it was made. The problem is that many people don't even try to find an empty world. Many people will just crash without trying to find somewhere that will inconvenience nobody. I would be fine with somebody who has hopped 3 -5 times crashing because they have put the effort in NOT to crash. But immediately crashing whoever is there is just doing it is almost lazy. You're absolutely right that there are people who do that, but you can never tell. I think people just get angry when they're crashed so they take it as a personal affront. I think crashing without hopping at least a couple times is rude. The only place I think it'd be acceptable is solo Graardor, but even then it's worth hopping just so you can find the easiest person to crash.

As Hedge explained, that's exactly why it's a bad metaphor.

An Elitist's View on Crashing
While that's an important tenant of slaying efficiently, there's a lot more to it than that. Anyway, the point is that until Runescape becomes a single player game, crashing is inevitable. If you don't like it, get bigger and compete.
