  1. I actually lol'd. OP is pretty funny. Use a terrorbird. If it was attacking the mole when it burrowed, it will start walking in the direction of the mole. Makes it much easier. Also good for run energy, of course. Oh and use melee.
  2. Combat really has always been the main focus of Runescape. I don't think Jagex is lying by not putting a disclaimer on the main site (that's a pretty ludicrous accusation, actually). Quests, PVP, most activities, and the fact that almost all skilling results in combat-related products is a pretty big hint. Can you get by in Runescape by just skilling? Absolutely; there's nothing you can't get if you skill enough, but the most expensive skilling tool is a dragon pickaxe, whereas divine spirit shields and other combat-related gear is far more expensive, and rightfully so. You can do anything you want in Runescape and get by at a reasonable pace (unless you chop yews for money). Combat is a high risk, high return venture. Skilling isn't. It balances out nicely.
  3. Wow, Red Phats. I wonder what Frost/Mith goes for. And if you got a Red Hat, you could downgrade to Green or even Yellow and then trade that for Divine. It would be a free whatever it takes to upgrade Yellow/Green to Red. Wow indeed. How do you even make a trade like that without having hundreds of millions in junk? Who has hundreds of millions of junk? :(
  4. The totem looks pretty attractive for playing Pyramid Plunder.
  5. Yeah, should've included Starfox 64 for sure. ;) Also, Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask was just as amazing as OoT. I actually like it more, as the storyline is much darker, the main "campaign" or goal is longer, and there are WAY more side-quests and hidden things to find. One of the great things about both games, too, is the amazing music. Other than that, some of my favorite games of all time are on your list. You're missing the Metroid games, though. :(
  6. I really want to start runecrafting. Need full agile first.
  7. As is the tradition: Oh, the hypocrisy.
  8. Na, i would say they use a hose. Or they just posess one of those ultimate gamer stations designed by the MIT guys. I cant help but feel sorry for these people. Save your pity, because many of them have healthy lives outside of Runescape. Zarfot is a great example.
  9. The first article is well-written, but I don't exactly agree. The profit from MHing maxes at around 5M/h (that's with maxed stats, the best gear, overloads, a chaotic weapon, and maybe a divine spirit shield for a few bosses). The profit from skilling hovers a little above 1M/h. There is a perfect balance between the two. Making 5M/h from MHing requires so much more time and money, luck, patience, and there's the ever-present possibility of dying. There's also the intense competition across all worlds. Skilling provides a relaxed, consistent source of money with no risk and little competition (unless hunting for imps or rune ores). On top of that, the only expensive item that a skiller will ever have to invest in is a dragon pickaxe, which means they need less money than MHers. However, I do think skilling could do with a way to make a little more money at extremely high levels. EDIT: Second article is kind of typical and stating the obvious. Expected.
  10. Trololol For as much as you seem to know about the game, I would think you'd be able to read the BTS and figure out the quest comes first. And the TT update is fun, and brought more opportunities for decent rewards from clues. Because they always stick to the update schedule. The man has a point.
  11. Well here's what I did (I had around 94-95 melees, but otherwise my stats weren't much better than yours). Full void with melee and ranged helms Z spear Hand cannon (only used for freeze part) Other usual gear Started with a tort full of brews and rocktails and fire titan pouch + scrolls Inventory had brews, rocktails, super restores, and two phoenix necklaces (for the freeze part). I just melee'd him, hid behind the pillar for the charge attack and rested behind the pillar during the clone stage. I used my hand cannon (+ specs) during the freeze part while wearing a phoenix necklace. During zerker mode I spammed titan scrolls and used protect from melee and piety. Kyatt would be much better than a fire titan (funny that I beat him with the titan when I had access to geysers and unicorns). The run that I beat him on was the only run in which I pulled my strategy off perfectly, which is important to note.
  12. I really don't know anything about the top dungeoneers, but I'm gonna go with No Excuses just because he's been fighting for #1 for so long now.
  13. I really don't think it's luck. I never used a kyatt for it and it took me eight tries. You're most likely doing something wrong.
  14. Yeah, I've never gotten angry at knifers because it's my fault for letting them get that close.
  15. if I were training magic again its looks would be solely enough to make me wear it lol This. I love my healer hats.
  16. Dung Smith clan chat.
  17. /gives Morningrise333 a flame shield. You'll need it buddy. Good luck. Well I don't camp or use noobtubes, so I'm not really concerned with any flaming. I'm a newb anyway. Sue me.
  18. I've really gotten into MW2 recently. It's actually my brother's game and account, but I love to play when he's not playing. He's really, really good, so he gets kinda mad 'cause I lower his KD so much. :shades: I'm getting better though. Finally able to pull off a sentry gun at least once every game. :D I really love using the Intervention or Barret with stopping power and FMJ. I also love using an UMP with a silencer. And, of course, knifing classes are pro.
  19. Metallica was one of the first thrash metal bands. Their first two albums were very thrash but had progressive elements here and there. Their third album, Master of Puppets (1986), ventured even further into prog (long songs, huge changes in dynamics, odd time signatures, BASS SOLO, etc), and was a HUGE deal because it was one of the first metal albums to combine all of these different musical elements into one package. No other thrash band was doing that at the time (though Megadeth was coming very close with Rust in Peace). After Cliff Burton (bassist who wrote most of their music) died, they took all of the material he had written and James Hetfield (rhythm guitarist, main songwriter) pretty much dumped all of his creativity into their fourth album, ". . . And Justice for All." This album is straight up progressive thrash metal. 10 minute songs, crazy time signatures, some poly rhythms, beautiful acoustic work, Kirk Hammet's best solos yet, etc. This, in my opinion, is their best album. Then the Black album happened. They completely changed their sound (due in no small part to the loss of Cliff Burton and the addition of a new producer who would go on to produce every album till today). Once they started playing rock music, they hit it huge. They were already a huge band, but the Black album made them into the biggest and most famous metal band ever (until Pantera came along in the early 90s). IMO, Metallica isn't overrated. They really were geniuses at one point. It's sad that they lost what made them so special. EDIT: It's funny that you say that, because James Hetfield is often touted as being one of the greatest rhythm guitarists and riff-writers of all time. He can down-pick insanely fast. With the music we have today, it's easy to overlook him, but he really was the best when they were a young band. Without him, the music I listen to wouldn't even exist.
  20. You have like 30 seconds to summon the Kyatt if you hide behind a pillar during his clone stage. With your stats, you should really use the kyatt.

  22. Go to the Dung Smith clan chat and ask. There's always someone available to make something for you, and they're pretty nice. But don't do teams. I learned that the hard way. Took two hours to make four prom 2hs.
