  1. Article #1: In 2007 or 2008, I found this MHing clan (DKs, primarily) that was considered to be one of the more elite clans at the time. It was around then that I decided that my goal was to max combat and slayer, so that clan became my "goal," in a way. I started lurking their forums and getting to know some of the members, and I discovered that one of the leaders had gotten fire capes for almost every single person in the clan. They were a very close-knit community, so they never had problems with account stealing or anything, but it really turned me off that these supposed "elite" players were letting some other guy get their fire capes for them. It was weird for me. I related to the article in a lot of ways (no, not THAT way). Article #2: I didn't know about the drop potential glitch. Decent, informative article.
  2. It's worth noting that you'll run into a lot of people who will use heavy units and immediately attack you. I would sometimes throw a couple heavy units into my squad so I could last the entire four minutes. Also, consider sending one troop to each side of the castle so that you can keep a couple units alive if someone attacks. Most people suicide, so they'll kill your units for you at four minutes. Personally, I got my 300 rank a bit differently, but I had to pay attention the entire time. I was able to get my 12 ranks in about 45 minutes. Less MA is better MA. I would still recommend suiciding, though. It's more consistent.
  3. Extremes > fury, but it would be better to keep your fury and use it to make the money for extremes.
  4. What's the point of good gear if its just going to sit in your bank at the times when it might make a difference? Because boss hunting isn't the only thing to do in Runescape?
  5. Dungeoneering or slayer. I enjoy slayer more, dungeoneering encompasses the entire game into a single skill, basically, so I think it's technically the best skill.
  6. My computer is prone to lag spikes and my internet can be unreliable at times, so I prefer to minimize my risk when possible (unless I'm with someone I trust). I would never, ever risk a chaotic weapon. At most, I'd risk maybe 5M, but I usually try to get it down to 1M or less. That's partially why I love TDs so much -- you can use cheap armor and easily get back in time. Talking about boss hunting, of course.
  7. This. Thanks Bladewing.
  8. FINALLY  And yeah, ew Kalphites
  9. The delusion of morality is a coping mechanism by which individuals rationalize their fear of punishment/retribution in order to increase their self esteem. There is no such thing as morality. That being said I for the most part follow all laws. One needs only be rational, not "moral", to decide to obey them. Aren't you original, sticking it to the man like that!? Fight the power, bro! It's called philosophy, not anti-conformism.
  10. Well, ALL of the Mahjarrat want to do that. ;P In regards to Bilrach and the Dragonkin: in his notes, Bilrach says that Zemouregal underestimates his power. Considering that Bilrach was Zamorak's third in command (behind Lucien, presumably) and that Zamorak commissioned Bilrach to summon K'ril, and that Bilrach was able to recruit the Kal'Gerion demons, I'd say that Bilrach is probably a LOT stronger than Zemouregal, and just doesn't let it on. I agree with Squisher -- I think the Dragonkin sealed themselves at the bottom floor of Daemonheim (remember that they hid themselves for protection because they were worried about their race dying out). Castle Drakan used to belong to the Kin (as seen in A Tail of Two Cats), but Zamorak gave it to Drakan after Zaros' fall. Is anyone else TOTALLY psyched to see a huge battle between the Zarosian and Zamorakian Mahjarrat?! I wanna see Azzanadra kick some ass.
  11. Finish WGS and camp TDs. All you need there is black d'hide, a rune cbow and a whip. It's a very cheap way to make money.
  12. It takes more than three hours. I'm pretty good at FoG and I was using pro gear with nearly maxed stats, but it still took about 5 hours, maybe more.
  13. Usually, people are learned in school not to think black-white in this world, some people obviously aren't graduated yet. Anyway, 99% efficient compared to 100% efficient, but I guess my attempts to get that into your head will be in vain You're underestimating the differences between a fury and a glory, which is pretty ironic, Mr. Black/white. I feel like I'm trying to explain Nietzsche to a bunch of children.

Yeah, I agree. I've always loved the "loneliness" of the Metroid series. But it certainly looks like an interesting game.
  15. Yeah, I agree. For anything else I wouldn't be bothered, but 15 magic defense is a LOT.
  16. You DEFINITELY want the rapier. You're going to want to max melees eventually (I know you ;) ), so the rapier will be incredibly valuable for you. CLS really isn't good for training.
  17. I like to balance my strength and prayer bonuses, personally. For me, +15 to +18 prayer is the "sweet spot" where you'll only need around ~12 prayer potions per task, so that leaves you plenty of room to mess around with strength bonuses.
  18. It's not considered to be going in circles if only one person is making arguments and the other person gives no arguments and is HURR DURR 2 MACH MONEE It's called talking to walls. Ok, so only one person's opinion and preferences are valid. Got it. ps: Since I'm guessing you're a goon, we have a goon clan chat fyi It's not preference. I'm right. You're wrong.
  19. I love rares, and I realize they give no bonuses. I haven't denied that a fury is better. All I've been saying is that some people don't care about the small improvements (me), and some people (you) do. But you keep talking about it like it's a necessity It can get me bandos, barrows, godsword, whip, staff of light, etc. And I'm pretty sure overloads, possibly 92 prayer. What else is there to need? You're missing a LOT of stuff there. We clearly have differences of opinion. Whereas I base mine on experience, you base yours on . . . nothing. This is becoming a silly argument over whether or not it's good to be a cheapskate, essentially. It's fine that you've convinced yourself (without reason) that an amulet of fury is not worth the price and is not a necessity, but it is incredibly irresponsible of you to run around posting misinformation on H&A topics. You say the extra bonuses aren't worth it, but judging all of your other posts, you really have no idea what subtle changes in bonuses can do for you in intensive combat situations. +12 difference in magic defense is HUGE. +2 strength bonus is the difference between KOing and redbarring someone, and it will shave off hours and hours of training time when you're going to be spending hundreds of hours in combat. +2 prayer means using a few less doses of prayer potion, and for someone like you (that is, someone who hates spending money, apparently) it could save you millions over your career. Why do I continue to argue with brick walls? That's what these topics are for. ;) Gear can be sorted into two categories: staple items and interchangeable items. Staple: Barrows gloves Rune defender Dragon boots Full slayer helm Berserker ring Amulet of fury For staple items, you should definitely get barrows gloves and a rune defender as soon as possible (you probably already have them, though). Dragon boots are very cheap, but you probably have those, too. A full slayer helmet is pretty cheap, too, though I recall hearing a lot of my friends complaining about how hard it is to buy a hexcrest or focus sight on the GE. Nonetheless, it's a relatively cheap and effective upgrade. We've been over the fury. Berserker ring is last, but definitely a good investment once you can comfortably afford it. Interchangeable items: Abyssal whip (goes without saying, and is probably the most important item behind a black mask) Verac's skirt (high defense and prayer bonus) Full proselyte Fire cape Soul wars cape Ardougne cape 3 Karil's top and skirt Zamorakian spear Ahrim's top and bottom (at 93 slayer) Staff of light (93 slayer) Infinity boots (93 slayer) Seers' ring (93 slayer) Arcane necklace (93 slayer) Bandos plate and tassets Chaotic rapier Verac's, Karil's, and ZS should come before fury. When you hit 93 slayer, you should easily be able to afford the gear for ice wyrms, and you should have an arc necklace by then. You should only buy Bandos after 95 prayer and 92+ herblore (consider parting with your fury for these, but it'd be better to keep it and use it to make more money). You should get a fire cape, SW cape, Ardy cape, and chaotic rapier as soon as possible. Hope that helps to put things in perspective. I also highly recommend using a cannon on dags, velds, and spectres, even if you don't normally use one. You should always be trying to raise your prayer and herblore levels.
  20. That was fun. I lol'd at you "using" the ingredients on the glass. :D
  21. Because if you can TB + barrage + venge someone, they are going to die. Period. We can't switch between prayers/curses and the three spellbooks because it'd be horribly unbalanced. You give up certain advantages to have other advantages. How about switching spellbooks would remove all the effects the previous spellbook had? LIke remove the teleblock or vengeance, or the freeze from the ice barrage. Would still be OP to have all of those options, spells, and teleports at your fingertips.
  22. You definitely want Karil's and a Verac's skirt before a fury, but fury > Bandos. If you're more of the slayer type, I can give you a list of stuff to buy and in what order to buy it all, if you'd like.

  24. A little more than 10 rounds (more than 100 waves).
  25.      :ugeek: :shame: :!: :shades:     :P :x :o ;) :?       :???: :---) =D> <3:
