Getting back up to speed
This. Maxing combat is a great goal for anyone. You should also work on dungeoneering, as chaotic weapons are the best you can get.

Returning lost dung rewards
I would imagine that it'd be half the original price if implemented. You lose your rapier, you pay 100k tokens for your next one. I think the minimum they could do while still being somewhat reasonable is 1/4 the price, so 50k after your first chaotic weapon.

An Elitist's View on Crashing
And that was on a LS world? Wow, he had some balls to crash a trio (I'm assuming you were each using a different combat style with extremes and maxed gear?). I know you said the RNG favored him, but was there anything else he was doing could've contributed? Was he using a steel titan and overloads? Td crashing is all about anticipating the TD's prayer switches. as long as you can hit above 300 often you can crash pretty well It was two range/melee hybs (me and another guy) and a dedicated mage. The guy who crashed was using a pony and extremes + turm. He was obviously quite experienced at TDs, as his switches were much better than ours, which was probably the reason why he won on several kills. Kudos for him for being more skilled than we were, but crashing a trio when they weren't bothering your spot at all is still a [bleep] move. That's pretty crazy. Yeah, crashing a LS world is pretty unnecessary, especially at TDs. I'm absolutely positive that someone is going to jump on this and say "oh look the high levels who love crashing are complaining about being crashed! HYPOCRITES!" When crashing TDs or DKs (and even Bandos if you tele out while tanking Graar), you accept the possibility that the person you're crashing will attempt to get you killed. This is why crashing Bandos is so much more common than anywhere else.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
You know, I think that's a possibility. It could even replace the fury as the best melee amulet, but I doubt that will happen. It's too hard to get onyx gems as it is without taking away from their usefulness.

Everyone's slaying hardcore due to school starting back up soon. ;)

sawmill: is it worth it???
Sawmill is actually faster if you have a crystal saw, but ivy is much better due to the AFKability. I would personally get an adze and cut teaks, though, which is the best overall exp.

An Elitist's View on Crashing
That's interesting. I think I remember Sxq posting a video of that a LONG time ago. I assume you have the titan attacking Graar, right? I know at Arma, the minions drop food really often. EDIT: Well, ideally you wouldn't be crashed, but we all know that wont be possible till new bosses are released. It's like there was a relatively short period of time where solo Bandos was great, then suddenly EVERYONE wanted to do it, and everyone is STILL trying to do it, even though TDs and DKs are actually better money.

Item Risk
I know how that feels. It's a good learning experience, though. ;)

Well I think it's more that, in ideal conditions, solo Bandos could be better. ;)

Post and discuss all Jagex Twitter updates here!
I agree. I would really prefer them to tone it down to one or two updates a month at the very most. Even releasing a set of GIGANTIC, bug-free updates every three months would be great. On another note, I really don't understand why so many people complain about the people complaining about Jagex delaying updates. Did they promise this update on a particular day? No, but it doesn't matter. It's really OKAY to be upset over not getting the update. It's like knowing the month a new game is going to be released, then getting impatient and anxious when it isn't out earlier in the month. It's actually more annoying to me to read thirty people post about complainers than to read one person's complaint. Dungeoneering is literally the ONLY thing I want to do in Runescape right now, but the exp rates are too slow for me to want to deal with world 117, so I'm very much looking forward to this update. In fact, a LOT of the complainers actually really love Runescape and want to immerse themselves in this huge update to the biggest skill in the game. They're obviously going to be a little upset when it doesn't come out when they expect it (and make no mistake -- there IS expectation, regardless of Jagex' disclaimer). What's the big deal? The complainers, regardless of whether or not you agree with them, are offering much more constructive criticism and discussion than "STFU U COMPLAINERS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE JAMFLAX". My problem -- and this has always been my problem -- is that Jagex ALWAYS plans to release updates way earlier than they should. Instead of creating expectation for release this week, they should've given themselves till next week to fully test everything. I just don't understand why an update can't be fully tested and debugged far in advance of the planned release time. /my 3 cents.

An Elitist's View on Crashing
As I said not attacking anyone, you speak about being effiecent and making the most out of your time, I was wondering what you was doing here, speaking it like it wasn't a bad thing. Your original post was an attack on anyone who crashes, actually. I agree that this thread is getting REALLY repetitive. Sseli, you should go through all the posts, find all of the arguments against crashing and all of the best rebuttals to those arguments, then post them in the OP so people wont keep saying "u should just be nice!11" and "why dont u just hop!1!".

Bandos has been around 4m/h for quite awhile now.

Golden Joystick Awards
The people responsible for the awards should have advertised it instead of developers telling their users about it. Why not both? Obviously the developers are going to tell their customers, as that's the most direct advertisement possible.

I'm 12,000 years old and I serve The Empty Lord who has informed me of what it is, but I've been locked away by a bunch of [wagon] who it'd be funny to separate my essence into four diamonds. [bleep] those guys. I hope some adventurer shows up to rescue my ass.

Jealous of your [bleep]ing couch. You obviously don't live in 2010 BC (before couches). Imagine trying to relax without a [bleep]ing couch.

Golden Joystick Awards
Uh, I'm pretty sure "UK Developer of the year" means that people from all over the world are judging developers from the UK. Nowhere is it implied that only people from the UK should be voting.

Is Herbelore any good?
You should farm the most profitable herb that you can, then sell it and buy more efficient herbs or potions for the actual training. As for whether or not herblore is useful -- it's probably the most useful skill in the game aside from magic and summoning. If you ever plan on doing any serious combat (including training slayer), you should invest in getting extremes at the very least. This Except you forgot summoning in your list of usefullness  No I didn't.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Well if it's a ring, and the recoil damage is fairly significant, it could increase your DPS on tasks where the monster uses melee. Of course, this wouldn't apply to tasks where you use protection prayers (unless the item is able deflect potential damage, too, for some reason). I think it's either going to be a ring or a shield. If it's a shield, it's automatically useless for slayer.

Best 'non-slash' weapon for slaying?
Stab: Chaotic rapier > Zamorakian spear Crush: Chaotic maul > Saradomin sword > Zamorakian spear You really only need a whip and a ZS if you don't have a chaotic weapon, but SS > ZS on crush tasks. For a spec weapon, d claws are the best. Don't bother with a godsword.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Observe: Jagex's complex and intricate art of animosity at work. Wait, you mean ambiguity? :P EDIT: Having reread the BTS, I'm no longer sure it's a ring.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Yeah. The melee-deflect ring sounds interesting, so that may be a big contender for the zerker (i), but the spec saving ring sounds more like something to just keep in your inventory to use as needed. In any case, more options is always better.
