  1. Two thoughts: 1. It's a bit curious that the cape isn't as . . . flamboyant as the other skill capes. I wonder why. I would think it'd be even MORE glorious. It's a cool design, nonetheless. 2. It's kind of sad that a player (soon to be two players) can complete Jagex's endgame skill before Jagex can.
  2. That's one badass emote. Couldn't really see the cape, though. It looks like it has a hood attached, so does that mean there's no separate hood? If someone could get a closeup of it + stats, that'd be awesome. Anyway, congratulations to him. That's insane.
  3. It's hard to view it as being a black and white issue, 'cause it's not like these people are forcing their subscribers to do stuff for them. I guess I don't really see it as being unfair. They provide us with entertainment, and some of us repay them in either views and comments ($$$) or favors. I only watch Taco Limey and Zarfot, though.
  4. Alright, you guys convinced me to try the Chrome extension. It's wonderful. Thank you, Will14smith.
  5. What are you talking about, they do this all the time??? Eg: Dragon Dagger (which requires quests) and Dragon Claws. For 99% of situations, claws are a rich mans dd. But does that make it okay then ? - I think your example is yet another piece of gamedesig-gone-wrong evidence So you're saying that progress is bad? I don't get what the point of your thread is.
  6. Yeah, pretty much what everyone else said. However, there are some quest rewards that are totally unnecessary. I can't think of any right now, but I'm sure they're there. Trust me. ;)
  7. First article: I really don't understand what the point of explaining all three spellbooks was. You're posting an article on a Runescape fansite, so your audience is likely to know that information beforehand. It seemed as though the entire point was to defend yourself against some stranger who called you a noob, and you didn't even do that very well. Ancients are far better than modern magicks for PVP, and not just because the spells are better (autocast, anyone?). I'd much rather read an article about magic from Muggi or someone with similar experience. Second article: Well-written. It inspired a twinge of nostalgia and retrospection in me. I especially liked the last line. EDIT: There's a difference between a controversial article and a poorly written article. If the first article was controversial, edgy, and sparked some sort of heated discussion, I'd absolutely agree. However, it's just a list of spells and a tiny little attempt by the author to defend herself against a stranger. You'll typically find that people are much more vocal about things they dislike than things they like. In this case, the first article sucked, and everyone's pointing it out.
  8. mad Congratulations on your first 99. IMO, it's a great skill to max first, as it means you have a bunch of others not very far behind. I may be biased, though, as 99 HP was my first, too. ;)
  9. Trying to scavenge for herblore supplies. Sold my stockpile of d bones which were for 96 prayer (and 138 combat), but this is worth it. I should be able to get 91 herblore over the bonus weekend.
  10. I agree completely. Yeah, I'm definitely going to use it when it comes out for Chrome. Sounds pretty useful. Sorry, I'm not trusting a first-time poster who posts a link containing everyone's hopes and wishes.

  12. God I hate these things. Almost as much as I hate holiday events. Thank you to everyone finding the answers, 'cause if I had to put any effort into this, I'd skip it completely.
  13. I literally have no idea what point you're trying to make. Are you trying to argue that I do quests (of which some are inefficient to do) therefore . . . something? I don't get it. What do quests and RSC have to do with crashing nowadays? I'm saying compared to today exp/hour and gold/hour is much higher than RSC if you levelled alot in RSC with the rates so low, why are you trying to get the most in RS2, when it's much easier? . . . because I want to? I still don't know why or how this applies to crashing at all.
  14. I have 99 summoning, too. Sorry, I'm just a little confused by you saying that your suggestion would save time when it wouldn't for any player who knew how to pick up drops between hits. It's an excellent idea, absolutely, but only for convenience, not for saving time.
  15. I meant I usually kept 2-3 days of prayer potions for power-slaying. If I were still slaying, I'd be pretty annoyed. Come to think of it, that's exactly what happened last bonus weekend. I had maybe 250~ pray pots in the bank last time, which is nowhere near enough for a couple weeks of slaying. I farmed (and still farm) cash crops, not ranarrs, so my 200-300 avantoe/toadflax/snap seeds didn't help me much. Prayer potions were still unbuyable.
  16. Why can't someone both rush and have fun? I have a few friends who are over 93 dungeoneering, are members of DG Elites, and love the skill. I get a kick out of being efficient and fast, so I enjoy rushing and trying to maximize my exp/h. That goes for all skills. But besides that, I'd much prefer to rush with a good team than "have fun" with a world 117 team. I honestly believe that it's impossible to have fun dungeoneering if you're not with friends or a good, experienced team.
  17. This is not all directed at you, People should always have stocks of Herbs/Second/Food/ etc. Even if your the worst Slayer/Monster Killer ( Men/ Women in Edgy) You should always have some sort of stock of items THAT YOU ALWAYS USE. Some people do not keep enough stock for two to three weeks. I know I didn't when I was going for 99 slayer. I was using turmoil and cannoning constantly, and I relied on farm runs and slayer to fuel it, so I often only had enough stock for maybe two or three days of slayer at a time.
  18. I don't know if you know, but part of collecting data is playing the game. That's, uh . . . pretty obvious. As for your slayer issues, it does depend on your levels and the way you're slaying, admittedly. If you're using extremes, turmoil, a combat familiar, a cannon, and moving as quickly as possible, a whip will beat a CLS on most tasks, undoubtedly. Your sarcastic comment is more asinine than scathing.

  20. Maybe not better, but whip = CLS on slayer. This is not true... Been using my CLS for 3 days on slayer mostly, it outclasses whip at almost all places. Spirit mages seem to be an exception, since they have such low defence and pretty low HP that you can 2 hit them with whip or CLS. And you have data to back that up, I assume? Slayer monsters have such low defense that speed becomes very important. Only at monsters like dark beasts and mithril dragons would CLS be better.
  21. I think high levels most benifit from this. High levels are generally more prepared, have more money, have more resources in the bank, and have more knowledge of the game. So, while the high level is saving literally millions by training herb/smith/summ. The low level is probably cutting trees or something equally as useless, and even if he did want to train herb, he would likely not have the money or resources to get it very high. I'm a 137 and I just spent 100m~ on herblore a few weeks ago. I had just bought 96 prayer, too. Luckily I've been holding onto my last few herbs, so I think I'll be fine. Sure wish I knew about this a few weeks ago, though. I'd be getting 93+ herblore for sure. <_<
  22. - Joined in 2001. - All non-combat skills over 70 (not something to brag about, admittedly). - Efficiency is fun to me. - Maxed combat via slayer. - All quests done except for EW3 (which I will never, ever do). - All diaries done except for elite Ardougne (much rather spend money on herblore/prayer than smithing right now). You probably shouldn't make baseless assumptions about people. Ironically, your behavior is far more inflammatory than the people you disagree with.
