  1. i think Skully is a pretty cool guy. eh says hai and doesn't afraid of anything.
  2. Gargoyles aren't bad enough to blacklist, and Black Dragons are easy if you just kill the babies in the Chaos Tunnels. Steel Dragons should be your number one priority to blacklist. They're slow, and competition is high. Waterfiends are great for charms and drops. There's no reason not to do them. My personal list is: Steel Dragons Iron Dragons (still slow at my level) Hellhounds (too far from a bank, no drops, annoying to kill) Greater Demons (too far from a bank, and I get attacked by dogs) EDIT: Goraks aren't all that bad. It's a fairly quick task with low numbers. Your blacklist space can be better used.
  3. You read Erichermits guide. That's false, as it takes ~2 trips to do it. The second trip you don't need to bring a cannon there. Just let it stay there while banking, so it's (somewhat) worth using... Edit: Speak of the devil... Actually, the cannonballs just don't hit the Wyverns, and you're wasting money by using it. I'm speaking more from experience than anything. I have read his guide, in any case. : youre just supposed to take it on 1st trip i thought. o well doesnt matter i skip wyvs lol. ummm so it sounds like beasts (but wont they mage me if i attack them? and if so can u bring familiars into the morners place) dags (obviously) black demons, kalphs, suqahs, and aberrants what about velds from that quest, are those worth cannoning or should i just stick with the slayer tower and what about iron dragons? and where do you cannon fire giants lol, i always kill them in the chaos tunnels I think you're misunderstanding. The cannon does not hit well on Wyverns. It has nothing to do with bringing the cannon. Slay Black Demons in the Chaos Tunnels. Use the cannon on Dark Beasts. DEFINITELY use the cannon on Mutated Bloodvelds. Amazing task. Never Iron Dragons. It doesn't hit on them. You can kill Fire Giants underneath the waterfall with a cannon.

Oh man. I don't know if such a monster exists! I think your best bet is to do Slayer and range most of your tasks while using a cannon. You might be able to make your money back that way.

  6. Everything he said, but perhaps save your cannonballs on a Wyvern task. A cannon doesn't do too much to them.
  7. I believe you can buy one using 75 points without having the knowledge to make them.
  8. Holy %$#@ you can just tele there with a slayer ring if you haven't been there before? I'm gonna do that right away.
  9. I like to consider myself an experienced Slayer, so here's a few things to consider... At your level, you wont be making profit using the most efficient methods, such as a cannon, piety, etc. If you need extra cash, you don't have to farm Snaps. Kwuarms, Ranarrs, even Toadflax works well. Toadflax will pay for a lot of Prayer Potions, but go with the higher level herbs if you can. At 80 Slayer, I use a cannon as often as possible, and I always use super sets. I also use Prayer Potions on all of my tasks. I usually use Superhuman Strength, but I use Piety pretty often too. Doing this, I make a very small profit. I spend most of my money on Cannonballs and Prayer Potions. I think that if you farm Ranarrs and use MTK, you can easily fund your slaying. When you get into the 60's and 70's, you'll be able to remain self sufficient at the very least. Good luck with your Slayer. It's an amazing Skill.
  10. Ah thank you. That sounds worth it to me. That's a good amount of extra experience!
  11. That advice was really helpful for me. Slayer Rings! GENIUS! I hate the bog event! I might have another go at Lumberjack.
  12. A long time ago, I did one Fight Caves attempt with crappy gear and a bone crossbow. I got to Jad and messed up on the prayers. Is Void an option? What range ammo should I use to maximize speed (without spending billions)? I've heard of using a SGS. Assuming I could find a lender, how would I use it effectively? Is a Verac helm, Karil top, and Verac skirt still efficient? Should I invest in Armadyl? Any other modern tips or tricks I should know? Thanks! EDIT: Also, totally unrelated, are the penguin points any good for some extra experience? I'm not going to go searching for them, but I've seen at least four penguins while slaying, and I haven't been able to spy on them. I'm wondering if I should take the time to start collecting them when I spot a penguin.

I got to Jad with a bone crossbow and welfare armor, then failed on the prayer switching. If I can get to Jad, you can. ;)
  14. I would also like to add my to my previous thoughts. I think a lot of times, players who grind do have the mentality that the work now will allow them to have more fun later. That's how I feel. I feel that my goals right now are going to allow me to do what I find fun later on. Slayer is fun, but PVP or soloing boss monsters would be a lot more fun, and so training Slayer and combat is a precursor to the REAL fun that I get to have when I finish my goal.
  15. Why is there only one King Black Dragon spawn? Well A. He's a venerable boss monster and was once so powerful he needed a team to take him down during the days before lootshare, B. His drops today, frankly, suck. You can get the visage from black and, I believe, metal dragons. And 3. The Wraith requires FULL BLACK armor to fight. This makes him somewhat time consuming for even the most powerful of players to fight him. So when someone else show's up, you can't overpower them with better gear. You missed my point there with the KBD. The drops of the Tormented Wraith essentially suck, yes? With the exception of one rare item: the elixir. There is a low risk when fighting this monster, and the chance at a VERY valuable reward. Compare this to another boss monster--any of your choosing--and tell me if this seems fair. The Kalphite Queen has similar drops as well, yet is more hard than the KBD, let alone the Wraith. Yes, the gear thing is a complete equalizer across the combat levels, but prayer completely nullifies the risk. An inventory of prayer potions and one could stay there many hours and make a decent amount of money even WITHOUT an elixir drop. I tried my luck there, and I made 100k an hour. My friend tried his luck there and made 200k+ an hour. All with little risk. Even killing Green Dragons, which are a lower level and far more weak, are more dangerous simply because of it's environment. There is nothing, truly, that makes the Tormented Wraith particularly dangerous. He hits hard, but not fast enough to KO someone. All of these are beside the point, though. I'm sorry for getting off topic. My suggestion to add onto the OT's topic was that they should investigate ways to make this NPC a little more difficult, so people weren't able to camp there quite as long. Harder to camp = more of a chance you could find an open world. Crashers, however, can't be avoided. I won't even venture a guess at how to stop it. O_O Well why should they make it harder? - There are lots of bosses already that are very hard! I think JAGEX wanted to open a "boss" for the lower levels to being able to solo (lv 70-100): I spent a lot of time there: but franklyI wonder why all 130+ people come there, there's a lot more money soloing gwd or even the kbd earns more money/hour! Well it's not just the Elixir that lures high levels, it's also the mass amount of blue charms.
  16. Or it's less college tuition, food money, gas money... Way to assume that everyone is unhealthy and well, stupid. :|
  17. Not sure if it's been mentioned, but you stated that you didn't notice an increase in how high you hit with Armadyl in comparison to Black D'hide. Range attack bonus does not affect your max hit. Ammo and your range level are the affecting factors. You wouldn't hit higher, but you'd hit more often. There's more that I highly disagree with, but it's late, and I don't want to nitpick. All in all, it's not a bad guide for someone who may not be familiar with Ranging.
  18. No. This isn't the RSOF. I'm sure your ideas will be much more appreciated there.
  19. I know what you mean. I have a bad habit of logging in and doing nothing. If I don't have a strict goal, or I'm doing something that I'm not that interested in, I don't get much done. After I've been on for an hour or two, and I realize that I haven't gotten anything done, or made any progress, I feel like I've wasted my time. Ever since starting on My 90 Slayer goal, I've felt pretty accomplished. It's fun that I'm actually doing something productive that I enjoy. I was just at Black Demons, and a 133 tried to take my spot, so I competed with him for about ten minutes. He had full Bandos, a Bandos GS, and an Ice Titan, and I had a whip, defender, overlord, and I was using Chivalry. It gave me a huge rush whenever I'd see him hit a 59, then I'd hit two 39's in a row. I took most of the kills! I attributed this to the fact that I had been raising my combat skills very quickly and efficiently in the past week using Slayer. I definitely felt accomplished.
  20. At least in a fast clicking game you have a chance of being better than the other player regardless of stats. In multi, it suddenly becomes all about your stats. Thus higher level players abuse their power to crash other, lower leveled players, and in LS worlds bigger teams crash smaller teams. Far more frustrating IMO. A. Why even have stats or play this game if all you believe in is a simple game of you who got a better internet connection and faster reflexes? To be honest your just whining else if you really thought that you'd play FPS or something fast paced and not this game where you "TRAIN SKILLS ALL DAY FOR SOME REWARD" B. Don't go to Lootshare worlds. I hate lootshare and would get rid of it all together myself. I'm going to have to agree with Trem here. Your advantage should always be based on your stats. This game is all about stats and raising them. And luck.
  21. I'm not going to compete, but that is one hell of a challenge. I'd love to see this happen.
  22. this proves it. most tip.it ers are stupid.. [/hide] Not at all, he understood what this is all about, except he had trouble explaining it. So here we have a shield that on average 70 attacks out of 100, will reduce the damage received by 25%. It will take the "edge" off of an attack. Most "grinding" monsters people fight have max hits of ~15. Which means, at best, it will be 25% off of 15. It is welcome, but really nothing mindblowing. At worse, it will be 25% off of 0 or a very low number. Don't buy the shield and expect much against normal monsters. The real use is clearly PVP and boss monsters only. The thing is, the shield isn't even good at that either. The new monster is best killed with zamorakian spears. GWD is best done with godswords to rip through the bosses defences. Pvp is again largely won with godswords. The shield is very good, but the best thing you wear with it is a whip. What you can see here is a real paradox. The shield is good for pvp and boss hunting. Whips are used for grinding against normal monsters. Whips are not made for boss monsters, they aren't made for pvp. The shield and the whip disagree, the shield would rather watch WWE and the whip would rather just watch Dr house. So you have haft of the TV showing Dr house, and the other haft is showing RAW. It seems like shawn michaels is talking to cameron and you can't really figure out much of what going on. Conclusion: The shield is good, but has no suitable pvp/boss hunting 1 handed weapon to go with it. It's a damn lemon. For now, it's completely useless. "OMG LOOK AT ME I HAVE A DIVINE SHIELD! HERE I COME BOSS MONSTERS! Oh wait... snap, I have no weapon to go with it. *sob*" Well you can still use knives with it though :D I lol'd. But anyway, I've thought about it as well. The whip really isn't the best weapon to use in pvp or boss hunting. However, a crossbow is very good, and you can use the shield with a crossbow. The shield will be great for rangers especially, I think, especially vs. Kree or Zilyana.
  23. There should be a "highly stupid" rating for kills like that. Where they should be penalized for being idiots. I'm just going to go with what they use. Armor equiped will be "used", potions "used", and familiars "used" RobinHoodie gets a "No Sense of Humor" rating for killing that joke. You now owe a full set of Godswords to Killotroll. Omali wins approximately 7.3 internets for his post, and for making me LOL.
  24. Wait, so this thing drops Holy Elixir, mass amounts of blue charms, and Spirit Shields worth 250k? It's no wonder high levels are camping there.
