I like the guy above me. Anyway, I felt that the higher estimates were more accurate until reading the post about supply and demand. I think it's very true, so now the original estimate is starting to look more accurate to me.

Just a thought, but is it at all possible (or likely) that Jagex would actually inject items into the economy? Hit a button and create 10 3rd Age Helms out of thin air, right into the GE? Could this be how they adjust prices, or am I blowing air?

I agree. I like the idea of a randomly generated drop. Like killing monsters. Perhaps the more difficult the kill, the greater chance of a good item?

Player A, who has played since 2001 and has always had a large collection of rares, which he periodically sells off for large sums of cash, decides to visit the GE. Player A buys all of the economies Bandos Plates. Or, how about Player A starts a clan of merchants, whose goal is to buy up every GWD item in the GE? Congratulations, thanks to free trade through the GE, you've given a number of merchants complete control of a large part of the economy, and you're forced to conform and pay THEIR prices. Now, I'd like to say "can we please end the GE/free trade discussion?", but someone is most definitely going to reply to me and try and explain how that wouldn't work blah blah blah. On topic: I would happily obtain 92 Firemaking if it meant I could get 99 Woodcutting that much faster. I think this is an extremely useful update.

Considering this is a FIREMAKING update, those requirements are very high. The last beacon already needs lvl 92 firemaking, it shouldn't also need 70 Smithing/59 Construction when those skills have nothing to do with beacon lighting. Oh well, you'll get "that guy" with every update. Am I "that guy" or is he "that guy"? I believe the other guy is "that guy". The rewards are looking very lovely so far, and chatting with Mr. Blaze was hilarious.

My laptop, which is supposed to be totally sexy, has a hard time running full screen. In fact, I play on LOW DETAIL with the FIXED SCREEN. It's so epic fail that I've cut down on my playing time by at least 90%. Someone help me.

You deserve a cape because you put restrictions on yourself? Skillcapes are probably one of the biggest lures to get people to be members. Making them f2p wouldn't be very smart, profit wise, for Jagex.

I completely agree. They have to be some of the best monsters to train on. I'm surprised that no one camps there.

Congratulations! You can't use a beast of burden to be much more efficient, you can't use a Bunyip to save money and time on Slayer tasks, you can't beat another someone your level who uses Summoning. Your efficiency as a player is vastly inferior to a level 50 with 52 Summoning. 2/10 for bragging about not raising a skill. 9/10 because you're proud of your 100 combat.

Hahahahahahaha! :lol: Oh, and KillThomas, the fact that you're unable to cope with your friends poking fun at you is a sure sign of insecurity (read: lack of confidence). My friends, including my girlfriend, make fun of me for playing Runescape. My friends who play WoW make fun of the graphics of course, to which I politely reply "I have plenty of fun without taking up all of the memory on my laptop." When my girlfriend makes fun of me by calling me a nerd, she's just being a smartass.

I have to object. If one my friends asked what I did this weekend, and I said I played Halo for 20 hours, he would just be like "HOLY [cabbage] MAN! WHAT THE HELL????" Now if I told him I played runescape for 5 hours, he would be like "Dude that game sucks. I hate you just for playing it". You need some new friends. And some confidence.

Runescape is not my dirty little secret. When people ask me what I do in my spare time, I spout off my list of activities, and I always name Runescape. I'm a musician, I play five instruments (and counting), I work out, I'm in college, majoring in physics, chemistry, and mathematics, I'm an avid reader, I'm good looking, have an amazingly beautiful girlfriend (this is not a relative statement), I have a band, some great friends, and a very healthy social life. I have every right to play Runescape, and should anyone question that right, I'd simply ask them what the #%$@ they're doing with their lives.

1/10 for training Summoning and Prayer. What's wrong with you? Come back when you REALLY hit 100 combat. Sarcasm. Good job on the levels
