Your favorite Off-Topic threads ever?
Oh man, I remember that. I wasn't around when it first opened, but I remember well the story. Other than that, I can't think of any threads I was really fond of. Maybe if I go back a few pages.... Edit: oh, yes, the "Today" thread. Before the rollback I posted on that one almost every day. A good place for me to tell all the stories about what happened, even if nobody really cared.

It's official, my brother is a moron
I applied for that show once. Turns out you need a minimum of 3 transvestites/incestual pregnancies. Who knew?

Russia threatens U.S. and Poland with Nuclear Attack.
There can be no coming back from that particular "BRB", if you catch my drift.

Racing Games
Mmm, Burnout is great. Especially Revenge, Traffic Checking ftw. I hear Grid is pretty awesome, but I haven't gotten the chance to experience it myself.

Sooo......I hear Too Human was a flop. 14 years of anticipation wasted. I was just thinking the other day about games with innovation. Many games have tons of things that are new, original, and could be completely awesome. A lot of those don't do it right and suck preposterous amounts of the [wagon], while a select few succeed and become the most innovative and celebrated games of our time. Portal was one that did it great. Too Human.....not so much. Though I can't remember why TH was supposed to be so awesome...

Smash Club.
Apparantly you can avoid Olimar's FS completely in Mushroomy Kingdom by staying on the top blocks in the underground. Really put a cramp in my style when my enemy did that...twice.

Halo Discussion thread
Would it be better to just buy a new xbox instead of getting it repaired? Not a free repair, of course. I heard they've fixed the RROD on the newer models, right?

Halo
Yea...assault rifles...... The only reason anyone uses them in 3 is because it's the default. And the shoot for 2 seconds, melee, dead thing. But in Halo 2 and beyond, they made the pistol go from the Best Thing Ever to weaker than a grunt in antigrav for 3 years. Seriously, that pistol was awesome. I had a shrine in my closet dedicated to it.

Text adventure games
The only game I've ever played like that was Thy Dungeonman from Homestarrunner. Not really hard, but fun.

Halo Discussion thread
Aw, we never got to play together..... Anyways, if you've got the 20GB model, that's about $200 something new, a little less used. A headset could probably go for $10, Wireless adapter is something like $50 I think, Halo 3 $49.99 probably, MS points are what, $10 for 800? Then the account could probably be worth $50 or more. And the controllers would maybe be $10-20 each. So that makes, by my estimate, $380-$400.

Pen Spinning
Yep. Last night I was doing sonics with my pizza crust and later, thumbarounds with a short knife. When you get to the stranger stuff, it's a lot more interesting. And I usually practice at my computer, reading off of the how-to page :P Once I figure it out from there, I'll try it wherever I am. I do it whenever I'm at the computer, too, just because there's a big cup of pens here.

Parental Controls, are you cursed by them?
I used to be, because we used MSN as our browser and they had them set there. But then I got Firefox. I was neevr completely restricted, either, since I knew the password my dad used for it (which is the same he uses for many things) so when I found a blocked site that I really wanted to use that was blocked for really no reason, like many pages of Halopedia, I could just gain access.

My Birthday...
Yup. Right down the road from Bigfoot. So they let old people drive these days? I thought they got rid of that years ago. But at least for next time, you'll have that Hug-a-Bear. For a shield.

Pen Spinning
I do it, quite a bit. I made a thread on this before, but it didn't get much traffic.... Anyways, I can do [comparitvely] many tricks. Charge reverse (not regular for some reason) sonic, reverse sonic, fingerpass, thumbaround, thumbspin 1.5, backaround and all the neobacks, infinity and the fake double, which is my hardest. Might I recommend http://www.pentrix.com for those learning, although it's complete crap for anything but looking at videos. There was another great site, but I forgot what it is, and it may have been shut down. Something with turtle in the url.

Halo
[hide=Since it's part of the main plot, I'd say they're necessary]I'm almost certain that Cortana knew that the Ark was an installation foundry. Part of Mendicant Bias was trapped in High Charity's network (Or was it the Forerunner Dreadnought) and Cortana 'battled' Mendicant in order to delay the launch of the Dreadnought so that Chief could board it. I think this is the time that she learned or the Ark[/hide] Yea, that's what I thought. See, I know all this stuff, I just don't put it together quite right.

Subconcsious: Actions of Attraction.
Well, not straight-ahead tunnel vision. But within a very small area with an occasional over-the-shoulder check.

[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
I would if I could, J, but I can't. In a few weeks time....

Subconcsious: Actions of Attraction.
I recall someone on this forum having .gif image of some dude doing that near another dude, and the other dude is like "Please stop doing that". I think it was Lenin. Yea, that was me. I got it from some other guy here, though, I think he still has it. Forgot his name. And do people really try to make eye contact on the street? I'm just used to looking straight ahead when I walk, I rarely notice it or try. I only make eye contact when talking to the person.

Let's talk jeans.
I'm sure it'll be quite the big day for you.

Hold up Annie, before you go RVB crazy make at least a small contribution to mine at SG. It's seen no activity since it was created.

Subconcsious: Actions of Attraction.
Eye contact. Typo. And you fell into your own trap with your sizing fail.

Subconcsious: Actions of Attraction.
Hmmm....I just always try to make contact with everyone I'm speaking to. Even if I have to force it.
-
What makes you angry?
I realize you probably meant "pub", and if you didn't, it's something I just don't know about, being in a different country, but the mental image I got from that is just hilarious.

Subconcsious: Actions of Attraction.
 I think he means that when, say, your friend is attracted to someone, and you notice the behavioral differences between what he normally does, and what he does when he's around her.
