  1. I've given up flipping 3A since I can't buy for mid. Now I'm stockpiling santas again.
  2. I've had zero luck buying any 3A for mid for the last few days. I haven't tried to buy for max. Is it a buyout? It smells like one.
  3. All birds lay eggs. Any birds that do not lay eggs have become extinct because this is how birds reproduce. In fact, it's part of the definition of a bird. All chickens are birds. All breeds of chickens lay eggs. A hen is a female chicken. Hens lay eggs. A rooster is a male chicken. Roosters do not lay eggs.
  4. I haven't killed Bork in months -- guess it's time to add it back to the daily tasks!
  5. With all due respect, that would be a lame poll -- everyone would prefer new abilities. But new abilities are a very hard thing to do. New abilities are very complicated because they have a lot of collateral effects. I certainly am not against new abilities. But it is pointless to compare outfits to new abilities. Outfits are simple and easy. It's basic art and coding. The overall design of the game is entirely unaffected. But there's no reason to treat this as an either/or. Particularly for the skills that are uber hard to train (runecrafting, slayer, etc.), I think that it would be nice if the outfits had slight effects. The model I have in mind here is the lumberjack outfit. Perhaps each item of the outfit could have a slight benefit to the skill. As the outfit builds, the benefits can build so that it becomes most helpful at the upper levels, where training is most impossible. Finally, back to the poll idea, I don't think we could trust the results of the poll, even if one were conducted. Everyone would say that they prefer effects to show off value, but the actual gameplay of people show the contrary. For example, why do thousands of people click away for hours to earn pointless skillcapes? Why is a statless piece of head paper worth millions? Why do people (and I admit I did this) give up very serious xp rewards to get "full ringmaster"? The answer to all of these is to show off. It's a huge part of the game. Many might deny it, but their actions prove otherwise.
  6. I don't think it's needed, but that is a nice idea. When you click on the guide of a skill, there is a milestones page.. and it's usually just blank with 99 cape. These would fit in there. Sorry for the double post, but, yeah. This solves that age old problem of "no incentive" between mastery of a skill and 99. It would make working toward 99 less of a grind. And it would allow those who are dedicated to a skill (but not dedicated to grinding toward a 99) to show their dedication by wearing the earned pieces of their skill costume.
  7. GF bankspace :wall:. Unless Jagex added like 100 new bank spots as well. Easy to solve -- make them storable in poh. Or make them like the circus costumes -- the guy who gives out the capes keeps your pieces for you.
  8. The original poster makes a very insightful point that I'm surprised Jagex has missed until now. Obviously, people like to show off their levels. The wild popularity of skill capes has demonstrated this beyond cavil. Yet there is no way to show off high levels below 99. Jagex should come up with some wearable items (comparable to the achievement diary items or the circus costumes) that have zero or minimal stats but that can be earned progressively as one moves toward a 99. Let's take runecrafting as an example. At a low level, a player could earn runecrafting boots. Then gloves. Then ammy. Last would be legs, chest and finally cape (with emote). The skillcape then would be a capstone on the entire outfit. Ideally, the entire outfit would coordinate and be suitable to the skill. I think that would be a very nice addition to the game.
  9. Mine to  And RS is becoming to boring not sure how long ill continue to try. The p phat seems to have been rising every other day for the last couple days could that mean it slowing down? Just keep playing. The current rate of rise is unsustainable. As long as you keep playing, you should gain on it in the long run. There will be a correction eventually.
  10. You don't use your FOG points either?
  11. Just got this assignment last night. I always do it because the numbers are so small. (I was assigned to kill five this time.) I can manage a few, but if I got fifty, or something like that, I'd have to block it. I still have trouble with them. Only lvl 123 and I don't have the outstanding gear people use to kill these. I'd much rather skip them. I don't need the exp or points that badly. You have the stats to handle this assignment if you wanted to. And you don't need really expensive gear. I've used this, and it works just fine: karils, leaf-bladed sword, d boots, slayer helm, barrows gloves and bunyip (of course). Pray mele. Take some prayer pots and super strength and attack and some sharks (at least ten). (of course, anti fire shield and pots) The prayer takes care of the mele, and the karils and the gloves prevent his mage from owning you. At your level, properly potted and on assignment with slayer helm, the leaf-bladed sword will rip right through them. Edit: Soz, I was a little late with this, but the above advice is right on.
  12. I haven't been doing anything with my slayer points (after I bought the helm and so forth). Last night I finished my 200th consecutive assignment and got a lot of points. I had a couple thousand altogether. I bought slayer dart runes and sold them in the GE (over 6M). Then I started wondering whether that was the smartest thing to do. What do you all do with your slayer points? Do you think Jagex slayer point system "works"? Are you incentivized by the points? I find that once I got the helm and all the abilities, the points didn't really do much for me (although the 6M was nice, I guess).

  14. Didn't know these were in GWD -- might have to try them there. I do these just because the assignments always are relatively small. But they are a pain. It rocks when you can get about three guys in there and kill them off as fast as they spawn. But by yourself, they're tough. Just stick with them in the fairy ring place. You can bank in like 30 seconds and with a bunyip and ~5 monks, you'll only need to bank for your gems. Lol, I don't bank -- I only pick up the key halves.

  16. 3A ranger gear still is buyable on GE at max, but tough to get for less.
  17. If you do your waterfiend tasks, you have all the crimsons you can use.
  18. This is exactly right -- I sold all of mine. Merchers can't effectively buy out iron ore. Every newb in the game can mine it. At this price, I'm sure people already are starting to pound away at iron rocks.
  19. My blocked list: Terrorbirds -- Don't want to mess with the chime. Black demons -- Hard to kill and bad drops. Wyverns -- A real pain to kill. Hellhounds -- No drops.
  20. FWIW, I'm having trouble buying 3A range gear right now.
  21. What does this mean? Pretty plain English. It meant that the momentary selloff of partyhats was over for the time being but that Easter Eggs were set to crash within the next few days, which might set off more panic selling of a few partyhats, but probably no significant downward impact on prices.
  22. They're dumped pretty hard, so they'll likely have at least one more price decline, and maybe more. But I'm convinced that they'll eventually go up from here. I certainly expect to see them north of 20M before Christmas. I have twelve so far, and as soon as I can scrape together enough money, I buy another one.
  23. Luck applies only to short time periods. For all long-term players, luck comes out in the wash.
  24. I bought a santa at min yesterday. I see this as a real buying opportunity, especially on the santa, which never really had the ridiculous runup that the other rares have had.
  25. FWIW, 3A vams appear to be pretty stable right now -- both buyable and sellable on the GE.
