Today, april 14th, we had around 20cm of snow dumped on us from 6 in the morning. It is now 7pm and it hasn't stopped. :angry: I like snow, just not in april where as soon as it falls, it turns into muddy slush.

This is @ Noxx about 3 posts up. Where was the theory that only "efficiency trolls" insult? IIRC, the OP of "Efficiency trolls" claimed that said "efficiency trolls" were being insulted and trolled. Also, go visit the 200m exp thread, they have great discussions about efficiency WITHOUT insulting others because of how they play.

There is no mechanism in place from preventing anyone from giving false or bad information. That is horrible if you are giving out good information. Please, start frequenting H&A, you will notice this trend. And who says 100% that bad info would be taken over good info? There is still no need for flaming others because of different advice.

And of course you have to provide detail if you want to back up your method. Let's take a fury vs glory arguement. Player A says: Fury is best. Player B says: Glory is good too, and 15m cheaper. Obviously, this could cause some thinking for the OP to decide whether or not 15m was worth some extra bonuses. Player A says: Fury is better, and gives some evidence as to why 15m is worth the extra bonuses. Player B says: Glory is cheaper. Then of course the OP would take Player A's advice more seriously, and there would be no need for Player A to come back and flame player B.

Don't try to act like that's the only thing which happens. What started it all for me was a particular thread about Cave Slimes. The OP wrote the guide, and considered a decent moneymaker for low levels. Never said it was the law to obey his guide, etc. Then some particular users on this forum troll'd that thread to no end and repeatedly insulting OP. That was what made me have such a bad impression of "efficiency trolls". In your example, no one hurled insults. In which case, the best thing to do would be to ignore. Although player B is wrong, he did not use personal attacks. In the end, it is at discretion of the OP, the person who's ASKING the question, to decide what to do. If person A's arguements were sound, then obviously OP would choose it instead of person B. EDIT: More often than your scenario, I see instances where OP (average midlevel player) asks a question... let's say "how do I make money at my levels?" Person A comes along and gives the "best" advice, "get 85 dg and kill frosts" or "max melee and do nex" Person B says something like, I notice you have a decent hunter level, maybe try hunting grenwalls. Person A comes back and says no skilling is worthwile. Person B says what if OP enjoys skilling, I'm just giving an alternative. Person A then starts hurling personal attacks at B, calling him/her a moron for suggesting terrible advice. And I will repeat my first sentence: Don't try to act like the "efficiency clowns" are 100% of the time victims.

Then leave. Simple. Don't worry, we are. There's just still some packing up to do, guides to get removed, people to alert, etc. And more trolling right? A mod just moved your thread away from Gen. Discussion, does that mean TIF is now totalitarian???? :rolleyes: Other people come and go, why do your group have to be so special and make such a big deal about leaving.

You'll get on teams no problem, just not the pro 6 man teams. More like LS 10 man teams. You could definately give that a try though. If you manage to get lucky, or even miss an LS, you can always use that LSP at other masses.

That thread is a perfect example of why sometimes I feel "efficiency trolls" should have the quotation marks removed. wut.....? One gave gave honest advice, the OP declined it and gave a reason as to why, which is fine. The original advice giver responded saying he didn't understand the decline, and why, which is fine. And then 2 people jumped on him for being an efficiency troll.... Not once did the advice giver troll, insult, instigate flame, or patronize anyone in the thread. Nice try though. I see one person repeatedly asking why OP wants to charge orbs by himself. I see two people giving genuine advice that actually answers OP's question. I see another person making snide comments and I see one mod trying to stop it before it got out of hand. I see the OP twice trying to explain why he wanted to do it his way, instead just getting the whole "your way is stupid" thing. Hello, I'm 90 Strength and I would like to get to 99. Haha small consolation I guess eh. Hate to say it but I think they may end up with another #1 next season as well... Haha that would actually be embarrasing. I don't get the whole TANK for 3-5 years mentality. Three 30th place finishes in a row is nothing to be proud of, why are some Oiler fans hoping for that! You can get good players at 5-10 picks too!

They believe it is their duty to correct someone no matter what it takes. Most of the times, they start off with some personal attacks about how "if you're not doing this, then you're a moron". Or something subtle and less obvious. Sorta like how America decides to intervene in places where it isn't democratic, they feel they must convert everyone to democracy. Actually piety and cannonballs cut into your profits on most tasks that you'd use them? I remember people saying they barely profit from slayer anymore.
